Congrats on hitting 100K subscribers!!! I love your videos and your detailed and visual examples of what look good and not as good for us petites. I have learned so much.
Excellent video. I love the examples on the model and then show yourself with alternatives. Showing what you are talking about is visually so very helpful. I'm 5ft 2 and can easily get swallowed in anything. I'm finally learning how to dress for my height and shape. Thank you for all your help 😊
4'11" - foot size 34eu. Trying to find winter footwear is a nightmare - so it's plain black combat boots with black skinny jeans 'til the weather improves. And I work in an office 😫
🗡️Woman, you slay those sexy stiletto boots🛡️❕ In fact, you look fabulous in all your boots❕🌟Sensational tips! Quite willing to skip slouchy, squared toed, or chunky boots. Tend to avoid high boots for several reasons. Do a lot of walking🚶♀️, live in a 🌡hotter climate, and am prone to blistering😢. Plus, my calves make it challenging to find ones that fit. Also think high boots in flat heels are far less flattering on shorter looking legs, esp. when you favor maxi skirts. 🥰Love a pointed boot, but it's challenging to find one to fit size 9-9.5 wide w/a high arch in my 💲price point. In the 90s, I owned beloved black suede ankle cowgirl booties that were fab for boot-scooting! 😉Gotta wear a fit & flare flirty skirt for dancing. In the old days, I would go short w/bike shorts underneath to protect😊modesty. Now, I prefer tea length. 😖In the past I avoided cowboy boots in the brown tones, but am now on the hunt for a nude short suede version based on your recommendations to help elongate my ⏸️ vertical line. 🖤Love 🪖combat boots with all the buckles & bulky details, and grunge look. Unfortunately, I know the chunky ornate options won't do me any favors. That's why I stick to a more simpler & slimmer silhouettes in black.👍 😁Like the utilitarian (i.e., military or adventure) vibe paired w/cargo pants. If feeling edgy, I might wear 'em w/graphic t-shirt & a straight maxi skirt. 🤭Don't object to others who wear ultra feminine, flouncy skirts or more formal ofc wear w/combat boots. Just not my vibe. 🤔Considering combat boots w/a shorter plaid pencil skirt & coordinating tights, but that experimentation will have to wait for 🆒 weather. 🥂Congrats on 🎯 100k🍾🥳🎉! 💚 Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
Thanks Chi, a very useful video. Combat and chunky boots are a definitely no no for me. Ankle booties are my favorites. I always wear under pants, and only show then when I seat and cross my legs; however, now, I'm dearing to show then with some jeans.jijijii Allthough it's a little rare to see myself in that look; it's a very good and modern look. Many thanks⚘
Combat boot reminds me of the "grunge" scene - a big no thank you bite for me! Same with the slouchy look! I'm for the sleek, classic look that never goes out of style!
Thanks for sharing, Mollie! you can join our Facebook group "Petite Dressing" to get some tips on how to dress and to find the best shoes for Petite women like us!
I have a problem with your videos. I’m a new subscriber and they’re making me want to shop. Jk they are great! But I did just spend too much today on clothes. But now I can buy with purpose.
Congratulations on 100k subs Chi. It is unlikely that you remember me but I have been aroud since some of your early videos and you were very kind and responsive even then. Your video editing skills and flow have improved tremendously in such a short time frame which isn't easy given how hard you work on your videos so, all the more props to you!
Your videos are soo great! Thank you! Congrats on hitting 100k! 😀 I am applying what I learn from you to change my dressing and style. It has made a huge difference! You are the best! Also, I love the comedy in your videos.
It’s so much information, maybe cut them into shorter videos? I like it that you mention ‘short legs like me…’ all the time, cause you are a good looking woman, so I don’t feel like I’m the only one with this ‘problem’ 😆
It is under 10 minutes and she split the boots into categories. I think this is the best way as opposed to having many extra videos that cover the same general subject and having to go through each individual one. However, having a timestamp or chapter section would be best so people can skip exactly to the specific areas they want to or, they'd know at the start what is being specifically covered and if it's the video for them to watch.
Thank you for another smart video for us petites! I need to see if you’ve done a trousers for petites video. I’ve been wanting some but I’m average height with a short torso and ‘40s style trousers like I’m imagining might look terrible on me.
I'm short with legs that appear longer (I have long horizontal line according to Kibbe body type) & chunky boots look good on me, not every short person has short legs!
💐d0d0dededada: You're sooooo lucky!!! 💖Always wanted long legs that don't stop [sigh]! 👠Used to be far more willing to suffer high heels to sell that idea too. ⏳ Instead, I'm a 5'7" hourglass with a low waist. My long torso & exaggerated proportions can give the impression my legs are shorter🤣. It can get worse, if I wear anything that exaggerates those features too😖. 🥳Thankfully, Chi has so many excellent solutions that still make it possible to wear some of our favorite silhouettes. 🤔Once you understand all the "visual rules" for your height & body type, you can decide which rules you're going to follow faithfully as well as those you're going to bend or even break. 😉Have very specific likes & dislikes about coordination & style, but I don't like to impose that ideology on anyone else😊. Plus, bit of a rebel at heart! Resist all efforts of being forced into some narrowly defined box ✅. 😱It's easy to forget that what makes one person feel like a super 🦸♀️ hero can make another person feel like a big zero⭕❗ 🪖 Say "Heck Yes" to a combat boot! For myself, I simply skew toward a more slim, sleek or streamline version. Some w/a block heel. Also favor more monochromatic dressing to minimize any clunky or chunky impression. 🤗Don't do jeans of any sort, leggings in public, or short fit & flare skirts〰️ but think all those things can look attractive on others w/combat boots. Usually do a cropped or cuffed cargo pant or a straight maxi skirt to avoid creating a lower line, but I wouldn't count out a shorter pencil w/coordinating hose. Although the latter is generally too hot 🥵 for me in my climate. 💚 Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
Uhm i guess not all chunky boots are the same? You just need to find the right ones that hug your legs and feet nicely, style them with the right clothing to balance the whole outfit (I usually wear chunky boots with short skirts or wideleg pants), then chunky boots can be a perfect item to give you some height, and also create a whole different vibe for your outfit. I'm 4'9 btw, and I still look great in chunky boots. It's all about styling ^^
omg!i’ve been fancying buying a pair, too difficult to choose,i have a trauma,i looked like astroboy!i dunno if you guys knew this japanese anime classic😂
Lol. I thought I would be cute wearing combat boots with shorts, but when I checked my outfit it reminded me of Stone Cold Steve Austin. I suggest taking pictures in the mirror to make sure your outfit looks good.
Thanks so much for the advise on wearing boots. I love boots and would love to wear tall boots but because I'm short, I was always hesitant to buy boots.
I'm 5"5 and am always trying to make my legs look longer. I do have thin legs so that helps. So with combat boots, I make sure to wear them with skinny jeans and I keep them tonal. Blue jeans with navy or gray boots or black jeans with black boots. You can't go wrong with staying tonal.
I am 5foot 1" and would only wear those soles in Snow, the Bigger they get the Uglier they are, I like Ladylike Chelsea Boots, Stiletto Heel Sock Boot's, Regular Loafers and Court Shoes, much nicer on Petites xxx
Lug soles: Oh, I _know._ I went boot shopping today and was horrifies to see that nearly *100%* of the boots had those horrible lug soles. I'm looking for elegance and they're offering me punk-military-lumberjack.
Hi, Dear. Thank you so much. I would like to ask, I'm 145 cm petite women which length can you recommend me for coat? I wear maxi dresses and skirts. Can I wear 120cm length on coats?
There are things where I honestly do not care if they are "trends" I will NOT wear them, I know I will look awful and also trends come and go, but there are things that are timeless and those are things where you look and feel good/feminine in them. I never got into the ripped jeans, ugg boots (or however they're spelt), or exaggeratedly oversized clothes, it just doesn't work, I'm petite and hourglass and curvy (1950s sense, not the fat sense) so a lot of these fashions I'd just look terrible, not to mention I don't understand why trying to look homeless is "fashion", before people used to make effort to look good/better. Combat boots are another trend I see here in Poland, no, not getting on board that train, thank you. I've been trying to find pointed boots (on sale/discount), but it's not easy actually. So far I have curved ends, but not pointed, nor square, it'll do (thick heel for comfort as I walk a lot, but not chunky or combat! ...of course trainers due to walking/practicality), doesn't look bad, luckily I think it's because I'm petite (so proportional, just mini), but am trying to keep an eye out for practical, feminine winter shoes. P.S. Thanks for your videos and actually giving advice, I know a lot of women want to take the easy path of "everything works!" to not offend anyone, but that's not how you give advice to people who want to improve and look better, I want to know, ...in the same way if I'm trying things on that's why I like my families advice, they'll tell me "you don't look good etc." my fiance is great in that sense too, improvement/advice, no holding back.
