5) Malaysia
With a less than $300 monthly price tag on a one bedroom apartment, you'll be sure to have plenty of cash to spend on whatever you like.
If homesickness ails you while in Malaysia, feel free to spend all of that excess cash at the country's largest shopping center, Times Square Mall.
With fifteen floors, a hotel, a bowling alley, and more than one Starbucks, it's almost, its as if you've never left home.
4) Albania
Albania inst for the faint hearted, but is an option for those who are up for the challenge of a rough lifestyle.
It has a reputation for being quite corrupt, but this European nation has tons to offer in the culinary and history departments.
Even though living outside of the city center won’t cost you much more than $200 a month in rent, Albania is only for the expats who are willing to toughen up and rough it out.
3) Nicaragua
Because prices are so low in Central America's largest country, you could easily upgrade your lifestyle by moving to Nicaragua.
It will cost you less than $10 to get around on public transportation every month and a gym membership will only cost you $30 monthly.
Since you'll be preoccupied with keeping yourself entertained, you might neglect your household chores.
No worries, though.
For $60, maid service can swing through and clean up after you three times a week.
2) India
Home to one of the oldest civilizations, the invention of chess, and one of the seven wonders of the world, India would make an excellent home for anyone seeking to be emerged in the wonders of Eastern history and religion.
Not only can one live and eat for less than $400 a month, keeping yourself entertained by the sights and exploring the countless educational opportunities in India make it a valuable destination to reside in.
Stay away from the overpopulated cities, though- the congestion won't be worth the extra funds in your bank account.
1) Nepal
Sandwiched in between India and China, Nepal is a hub for cultural diversity and Eastern spirituality.
If you've finished school and want to use your gap year to "find" yourself, Nepal may be the country you need to experience.
It is also a great place to live if you don't want to spend more than $20 on your internet bill every month.

In deciding on a great place to move and live cheaply, definitely consider the beautiful Philippines. My new home sweet home. My current cost of living here in the rural Philippine countryside is only about $500 a month, but I've lived here for as little as $250 a month, which included everything. I moved here from NYC in February 2018. In the USA, I felt very much like a mouse on a treadmill... working hard every day, but never getting ahead and improving my standard of living. At 55, I took a cold hard look at my life and not only realized my failure to ever excel financially, but that my future retirement was only going to be Social Security retirement. Fearing for the worse if I stayed and retired in the USA, I left NYC and my budget room rental of $520 a month and moved to the Philippines. I knew nothing about what my life would be like here in the Philippines. It was a huge risk moving here, but I didn't feel I had an option. I seriously needed an opportunity to improve my livelihood. My first year was rough as I suffered from severe culture shock, thinking Filipinos were too different for me to ever blend in with, but I stuck it out and eventually found myself feeling very much at home amongst my new people. I watch a lot of RU-vid videos about where the cheapest places to live are and some say the Philippines, but none ever report a place cheaper than it has been here for me. I've lived here in my own beautiful modern country cottage for as little as $250 a month total... for everything and living comfortably. I've moved three times since being here. My cottage rental was almost $100 a month. After that, I rented a basic two room basement apartment for $40 a month. And now I rent a large 3 bedroom modern house for $100 a month. My highest monthly cost of living here is what I pay now, about $500 a month, which includes a lot of perks such as full-time domestic helpers. I feel my life is perfect at this monthly cost. I am living here in the Philippines cheaper than anywhere else I've ever lived and at a much higher standard of living than I have ever lived. You can get more details from my video about living cheaply here at: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7y_NmCw5dec.html For me, the number one priority in choosing a great place to live is the people. Where I live, here in the rural Philippine countryside, the people are amazing; super friendly, helpful, welcoming, and inclusive. I would suggest anyone moving here to rent and remain uncommitted to a neighborhood until you find one with super friendly, trustworthy, and welcoming people. Not every neighborhood is the same and you will be much happier living here if you love the people you live around. In my area, everyone seems to be related. So much so, I always assume the people I meet here are. I believe that is why neighborhoods can be so different, because the people in one area share the same blood and ways of life. In NYC, I had to work really hard to create and maintain a healthy social life and dating there was near impossible. Here, all I do is walk out my door and the entire community is my social and romantic playground. In many ways, the Philippines has been so much better for me than the United States. So much so that it would be silly to ever return to living in the USA. I moved here to live cheaply and improve my life and have succeeded at both far beyond my expectations. The bottom line is one can move here and live very nicely at a super low cost, but only if that is their aim and they play their cards right. I think a lot of people will say they want to save money, but they're not serious enough to do it. They demand air conditioning, the nicest residence and amenities, and eat at the expensive restaurants. I have never lived like that. Not even in the USA. I have always lived rather frugally. But here, frugal takes on an entirely different meaning, as you can frugally live like a king here. Again.. You can get more details from my video about living cheaply here at: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7y_NmCw5dec.html

does 2 bath mean 2 holes to shit in? do you eat rice with ketchup for breakfast lunch and dinner ? is there a local witchdoctor for when you get sick ? will your house fall over if a wolf blows to hard ? does your car garage contain a car ? do you get robbed every day ? or is it nice ?

Indonesia. Indonesia should be on the top of this list. The cheapest to live in compared to the ones listed here. Definitely. A vast country to explore with thousands upon thousands of beautiful islands. Very rich in cultures and very friendly locales. Plenty of business opportunities. A complete package. And it's growing rapidly.

+manish niraula Sounds really nice, and spiritual, but certain spiritual practices like Channeling, Astral Projection, Palm Readings, Remote Viewing, and Spirit Guides are pure Satanic, and pure deception. Anton Levay, the founder of Levay Satanism and master occultist even confirmed this. Same with Aleister Crowley, another occultist. There are good spiritual practices you can practice though. Dreams are generally harmless, marijuana, prayer to God, yoga, meditation, church going, reading spiritual texts like the Bible, singing praise songs to God, casting out demons, becoming a naturalist, (Nudist) studying the Word of God, (Bible) taking care of Earth, and not harming nature by littering, seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit, etc. However, pornography, lust, adultery, homosexuality, false religious teachings, cursing, being hateful and mean and other things will harm you spiritually though.

India is a big country and has a population of 1.7 billions. 400 millions people has a standard of living equal or higher than Americans and the rest are in middle class or very poor. One can live in a clean and low crime area like a king with a budget around $1500/month. This covers everything including health care. In America it is very hard to live with this low budget. Many poor white people live in India with a budget around $200/month and they manage to find a decent place to live in a low crime area. One can also live free in India but you have to be a smart person. Every peaceful and smart person is welcomed in India regardless of color of their skin.

But my pick is definitely Malaysia its almost like a developed country but the prices of a developing country, culture, Less of extreme poverty, great nightlife, best food scene!, luxuries shopping malls, cleaner than most of the other asian countries, just next door to Thailand and Singapore....hands down winner!!

i live in India, here the problem is politics, politicians make money n r getting richer , rich people are getting richer, there are so many people without basic amenties, still these rich people will spend crores for weddings and parties. there are many places and residential areas clean where rich people, upper middle class and even middle class people live in. am from Bangalore, here good locality with all amenties are very expensive. In India everything is commission basis, middlemen make money. If government provides all amenties and educate people about cleanliness or bring laws to punish, everything can be change, but first n foremost government should provide all amenities like good roads, toilets, drinking water, markets etc., goes on. hope atleast in next generation India will be cleaner and safer country for foreigners

LOL. You would not be able to live like a king for 40 yrs for 500,000 for 40 yrs anywhere in the world. But you can live like the richest of the people in most parts of the world for that much. You can move to Kenyan and live a way better life than you would in USA for that much. 1. Buy a 0.25- 1 acre piece of land in one of the best neighborhoods in kenya (100,000 USD) 2. Build big mansion 100, 000 USD 3. Buy a 2016 range rover sports $64,950 4. Gas 1 dollar per litre 5. Food for one person per day 3-5 dollars per day 6. Internet and telephone bills- 50 dollars per month 7. Electricity - 4-10 dollars per month 8. Water and Sewerage - 4-10 dollars per month

FROM, Moldova and Ukraine are the only alternatives if you want to live cheaper than Albania. Note none of theese COUNTRIES except Ukraine has nice beaches like Albania except Western Ukraine (Odessa) but it's quite expensive there in comparison to Albania. if India is in a mess it's because of its geographic location and all the invasions. you can make fun of it but there are good places in India. GO TO GOA, KERALA, HIMACHAL PRADESH, DARJEELING, KODAI CANAL, LADAKH, OOTY THERE ARE GREAT PLACES IN INDIA. INDIA IS A HUGE DIVERSE COUNTRY. HOW MANY RELIGIONS DOES YOUR COUNTRY HAVE? WHAT IS THE ETHINIC DIVERSITY IN YOUR COUNTRY? HOW MANY LANGUAGES DOES YOUR COUNTRY ALLOW AND STILL LOVE IN HARMONY? Google good places and go there.. don't just end up in wrong place and then pee your pants and cry about it. and don't forget India is a country home to the oldest civilization on earth. you're just comparing old Motorola dnac phone to the iPhone 7 red. Indian culture has contributed the world with the number 0(how many trillions billions would you have without a 0 following? ), yoga, Buddhism, even most of the English words are derived from sanskrit. I don't mind people saying India is dirty but that's a problem India is trying hard to solve besides tackling issues like terrorism aftereffects of invasions and colonisation. but there are great places in India. and nice places in India which are clean and holds cultural value and rich heritage.

You may consider All Balkan countries: Croatia / Montenegro / Bosnia&Hercegovina / Serbia / Slovenia / Macedonia.. Those are the Cheapest Places to Live in Europe and you will feel like at home.. And plus, those are some of the most interesting and beautiful places on Earth.. The cost of living is low but of good quality.. In most places, English is like a second language and you won't need to learn native languages.. Good position in Europe..Everything is close, max 2h flight away ( Greece, Italy, France, Germany, UK, Spain, Turkey, Russia...) Perfect for Tourism lovers.. There you have EVERYTHING, nice weather, reasonable prices, good healthcare, rich and interesting history, multicultural way of leaving, friendly welcoming people, fantastic food, fun seaside activities and relaxing ski resorts, big cities, and good nightlife.. * CROATIA / MONTENEGRO * - Those are Tourist destinations with an amazing and most beautiful coastline and nature in Europe, many historical places, and a relaxed way of life.. You will feel like you're on vacation every day.. Prices are higher than in Serbia and Bosnia, but still much cheaper than in western countries.. * SLOVENIA * - is a very clean and organized region (like Switzerland), with "fairy" lake Blade and the picturesque Alps in the background.. The Standard of living is higher than in other Balkan countries, but also more expensive.. People are very polite and friendly.. * SERBIA * - has one of the biggest city in the Balkans (Belgrade), with a rich history, busy streets, outgoing people, very good restaurants of domestic and international cuisine, crowded cafes and one of the best nightlife in Europe.. Serbia is rich culturally with a mix of many customs..The middle part (Shumadia) is unique with traditional Serbian culture and customs..South part of the country, has many small towns where you can feel how it was in Ottoman times..The North part (Vojvodina) is in total contrast to the south..It was in strong Austrian and Hungarian influence, so there you can enjoy the more organized but relaxed way of life, and mentality similar to Germans.. * BOSNIA & Hercegovina * - has a thick forest and beautiful mountain region with many small old towns, mixed cultural life, rich history, and nice people.. He forgot to mention that the wages are as low as the prices, so maybe things cost less but then you have less money to buy them. First worlders living in cheap foreign countries only really works if you retire there with a lot of cash up front, or maybe if you can afford to commute to work by plane, live in a hotel all week, then fly back for the weekend. Better to live in a country with decent wages, then buy/rent a house in an "unfashionable" area for cheap, preferably within reasonable commuting distance. You're probably still going to pay the same as the rest of the country for utilities and food, etc., but you'll save a tonne of cash on your rent/mortgage, and for most people that's the biggest and most crippling expense anyway.

In India, the quality of life varies with money. For $150, which is Rs. 9,000 you wont get a good house in cities or towns. Rs. 20,000 per month is required in cities or towns for proper housing - a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment with car parking facilities. This may or may not include maintenance charge which may range from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 5000. Plus you can't drink the tap water. Additional money must be payed for buying drinking water. Rural areas are cheaper. But it's better to live in cities in order to have better healthcare, transport and internet connectivity. Adding to this is the fact that most people don't earn that much money. Most of my friends who graduated from a good college have a starting salary of 30,000 to 45,000 per month. This may become as high as 70,000 per month eventually. But still, it's not cheap to pay Rs. 20,000 for rent when you earn Rs. 60,000. Plus children's education, medical expenses and small vacations will need a huge amount of money. Perhaps, if both the members in a family work, they can save money. Now, many jobs such as school teachers in private schools and nurses in private hospitals earn even less. School teachers in private schools earn around 35,000 per month and recently there was strike in a state were nurses where demanding a salary of at least Rs. 20,000! This means nurses are paid even less. People who work as carpenters, welders, barbers, drivers etc also earn very less. So imagine their plight. On the whole, I find India very expensive for an ordinary person living here.
