5 Chelsea boot mistakes TOO many guys make... 

In Europe we don't cuff jeans. It looks so weird. It just feels wrong to do. There's a reason why inside jeans is different colour. Lol Just get those jeans hemmed.

Is it because it's slip-on? Cowboy boots are similar to chelsea boots and they're used for ranching. Just because there is a type of boot doesn't mean that boot can't be changed to be more rugged or more stylish. Most reasonable boot shapes can be made to suit many needs.

Chelsea boots were invented in the UK and have traditionally been widely used as work boots. In all English Commonwealth countries, including Australia and South Africa, they are seen as boots suitable for working in the outback. However, Americans have a very different idea regarding work boots.

Because it's like common sense. No offense. In Europe we never cuff jeans. It's just wrong. There's a reason why jeans inside is completely different colour. At this point You would expect companies to make jeans inside the same colour as outside, if they were intended to be cuffed, right? Do You have any dress pants or tailored pants which are cuffed, with completely different colour? No, because that would look extremely bad. Their cuffs are the same colour as the pants. So anyone who ever cuffs jeans automatically takes -50% style points. Lmao Just hem Your jeans, aka shorten them. Make them chelsea dedicated jeans. Lol

Adding to my original comment: If jeans were meant to be cuffed, companies would start manufacturing pre-cuffed jeans, right? The idea of that already sounds disgusting. In Europe cuffing jeans means You are either lazy or broke. As in You were either lazy to bring Your jeans to tailor. Or too broke to bring Your jeans to tailor. So not only it has society stigma around it. But also it just looks bad. Lmao Like for real. Never cuff jeans.

I thought it was okay at first but after reading your comment I can now understand why it may not be the best choice. I don’t wear slim jeans on a regular basis to begin with so the idea hemming my jeans/pants and making them Chelsea dedicated jeans sounds like a great idea. Thank you for the advice.

In Mexico when men dress up like cowboys they wear chelsea boots, or as they like to call them "botines." Been the style since I lived there 25 years ago.
