Thanks for this clear and instructive video. I have a question on subtask automation. Is there a way to change the status of a task to "in-progress", when at least one of its sub-tasks change from ANY to in-progress. I see there they now have introduced "All subtask resolved" under "When", but that doesn't help in solving my challenge. Thanks in advance for your advice.
Hey! 😄 Since ClickUp has been updated since this video, you might see an "Automations" button at the top right once you are inside a space, a folder, or a list.
Hey! There is a workaround you can use. Create an Automation where the trigger is task unblocked and then select your desired action. Next, apply blocking and waiting dependencies to the subtasks you want to use as triggers. A task will become unblocked when the tasks it is dependent on are put into a Done status. Now, these dependencies can be used in place of statuses. So anytime you unblock a dependency from a subtask, your Automation will trigger. Hope that helps!
Do you have a video, or are you aware of a video, that does a deep dive into the CRM functions of Clickup? I'm using a CRM presently that (like most) try to bark in the same yard as SalesForce. My needs are more basic, but I need to be able to set custom flags or labels (user defined fields with a drop down that can be added to and be made searchable) because I like having the ability to do searches by city, products of interest, etc. For example, if I come across a deal on patio doors, or even rangehood fans, I'd like to be able to perform a search for people in a specific city who would be a prospect for a specific product or service, based on what I've sold them in the past. Make sense? Thanks in advance.
Here ya go! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ui98RA3SKu4.html but just to mention, ClickUp is not a CRM so it will not have a lot of functionalities you may be looking for or have in your current CRM. You can build something similar but it will have limitations.
Really good! :) I have one question! In our vompany we started using sprints and to make things easier we're creating a few automations. However, when a new sprint is created, we lose the automations we made on the previous sprint. How can I save automations as templates? Or is there a workaround to move automations when making new sprints?
Thank you! :) So you can't template a sprint list or move automation, but what you can do is template the structure of the list and save the list as a template (with the automations). Then you can upload the template to the sprint folder and then convert that list to a sprint.
Hey Krystal, I just saw you joined the Systems School Template Vault! Welcome!🥳 If you were trying to use the code RU-vid for the vault that is the only offer that does not accept the coupon. But we are so excited to have you as a member of the community ☺
