My number one was learning when to stop. I kept running the LP into the ground when I was ready to start intermediate programming.

Consider recovery factors like nutrition and sleep. If you can make changes there do it and then go again. Otherwise unless you are under training it might be time to utilize micro increments instead of 5lbs.

My biggest mistake when I first started lifting was going 6 days a week. Managed it about 7 months until I fell apart. Felt like I had been rolled in a dark alley all the time. Never do this.

Same here. Though it wasn't 6 days but 4. But I'd just crash myself so hard that I'd leave a gym like I'm boutta die, sitting 20 minutes in locker room to just realize I'm still alive.

Just call it a nap between sets

you will fail sets before rests get too long. then you deload or change up programming.

I have a lot of trouble with the Press. I went up to 52.5kgs but it was so difficult I was basically doing singles and doubles to make up the 15 reps. I reset to 48kgs to try to get my reps back up to 3. Now at 51kgs once again, and the last workout I was forced to do two 2 rep sets, though I made up the remainder with 3 rep sets. Do I redo 51kgs to make 5 sets of 3, or do I increase weight? I don't have this problem with the squat (135kgs) or deadlift (145kgs). I don't bench because I lack the time. Would benching help with the Press?

It's a program, not a list of random exercises. Everything in it helps the others. Yes, you have to bench
