Lmfao how does it feel being the ONLY species on earth. . that has to pay for permission to live???. . and maintain the division of your own species by constantly fighting over money???
Mate, can you take me under your wing? My biggest wish is to pull myself out of this dark hole called rat race 😔 I feel like I am dying every day and I am stuck but I don’t know where to start…
You forgot another way, but it involves going home every now and then. I used to do it before I got into software and started working remote. You can have a seasonal job in your home country that pays really good, work less than half of the year, and spend the rest of the time in Thailand. When I did it, I made around $10,000 per month driving a truck in the US. Some people make a lot more than that. But the beauty is, you can live in the truck. If you do that for 3 months, you will be able to spend another 3 months in Thailand, and still save money.
Lmfao how does it feel being the ONLY species on earth. . that has to pay for permission to live???. . and maintain the division of your own species by constantly fighting over money???
I'm planning on doing this as a truck driver, I make a lot of money but absolutely hate it but I can tolerate in short stints. If you're in the trades, you can work 6 months and travel the rest if you go to a country or region with a lower cost of living. If I need money I'll simply comeback and go trucking for 6 months then leave again. Thankfully, there's such a massive shortage in a lot of these trades that you can job hop without consequence because these companies need people so badly!
@@jacksonwhittier3646 I wouldn’t recommend a 6-month stint at a time. 4 months max. Believe it or not, it is much less mentally taxing than doing the standard 11 days out/3 days home schedule. Because when you are doing a 3 or 4 month stint out on the road, knowing that you will have 4-6 months off after that, you have that to look forward to. Not only does it increase your mood, but it also helps you work harder and run more miles. You get less tired as well. As far as companies go, believe it or not, many would prefer that. Because their truck only makes money when the wheels are turning. So if you go to a trucking company and tell them, “I’m gonna roll nonstop for the next 3-4 months”, from their perspective, they would know that that truck will be making money nonstop for that amount of time. I would recommend small-medium carriers for that kind of work though. Stay away from the mega carriers.
Also Thai tomato and fish soup makes you feel like in heaven haha. Maybe try creating some sort of sauce / solidified flavour powder and sell them to UK & other countries like Japan , China & US? I’ll buy lots of them if you could come up with something like that so long as you don’t make them cost a dear. 😅🤜🏻
Your channel is very refreshing from the other Thai expat ones, you are much younger which gives a better idea for us youngling who want to retire early.
@@coffeetrailsthailand1035 not just Thailand but I use it as a basis when it comes to retirement at a young age. I'm gonna be 30 next year and have no idea where my investments will take me. Other than that my plan is to simple jump from cheap country to cheap country every 6-12 months and explore the world. This will give me a good idea where I want to settle down. His perspective is much like mine at a young age. The older expats who do videos are already well established but don't do content on how to get established. I'm still learning and working towards my goals.

Making money in thailand is mostly a mugs game. I had a business for 10 years. built it up and could not sell it. put a manager in and it was destroyed within 2 years. Not going to work here again. Fighting boredom can be challenging.
The simplest and quickest (but not necessarily easy) way to start earning an income online for most people, in my opinion, is to start writing blog posts for other companies in an area where you have expertise or interest. It won't make you rich, but it'll give you a start, and probably enough to live in Thailand. You can then use that as a springboard to skill up in your free time, and move on to more lucrative things. I've done this myself thanks to people like Brett and others that have been talking about this model for quite a few years now. Hope that helps.
Very interesting video. I had a friend working in Singapore teaching English (for an international school) He asked me about the possibility of going over there after I finished my degree, if I could get a position teaching maths. It was one option I was considering after getting my life straight over here in the UK, but then, the SUPERBUG came, and turned everything upside down. He lost his job and is now back, working in the UK, living here with his wife and daughter ( he got married when he was out there). He said he was very well paid for the school job. I'll share this with him actually, might give him some ideas about how to eventually get back to the place he loved.
Our Family has been importing rubber from Thailand to Australia for 30 years Some of the best people to deal with in the world We have become family as well as Business partners
Awesome Video Brett … I’ve settled on Amazon Fba and at some point when the situation around the world improves I will set the business up to run completely hands off. Wish I had done this in 2016 now when I turned it down because I didn’t understand how it works. Never been to Chang Mai …might make it my first port of call on my next visit
Another great video Brett! I did exporting for 12 years from Thailand and I sold things at street festivals in the USA. And you're right, it is a lot of work!!
Did you ever miss where u came from? I know a dude who got married in Thailand and had three kids but he stays 6 months in Canada 6 months in Thailand selling/making decorations. He likes Thailand his wife likes Canada. They have been in Canada since COVID 19.

I recommend if possible pay into your home country government pension scheme. The UK lets you do that. One day you will be pleased you did it. I worked all over the place but paid into the UK system and now I am more than getting my money back.

I’m in Thailand and try to get remote working as a business analyst with banks / insurance companies in the UK. I usually do well in the interview. Hey bro. We are meant to be in Thailand next month but it's just been cancelled for the 3rd time. So frustrating. This is so helpful as I'm 48 and want to relocate there. See you again real soon.
Been an expat in Thailand and Japan since 2004 (80% Thailand and a few times we go to Japan to visit wifes family). Mostly do software development. Wife does translation of videos and documents. Kids age 8 and 11 do home schooling.
I have a business back in my home country that I need to get have fully functioning online for its sales etc. However, I've been beating my head against the wall for 3 years trying to get decent IT help & digital marketing up and running. It seems so expensive for all the brocken down services they provide my business. Nothing IT people create ever works reliably. Even the apps created for accessing Thailand during this pandemic and my own country just simply don't work. I thought computing & IT would become more reliable as it modernised?
Can you do a video on how visitors to Thailand can exchange their currency for Thai currency? I know there are ATM type machines that do this. However, do they accept credit cards or do you need a debit card? Thanks
Well lets say you start dropshipping there how do you report taxes? do you pay taxes? Are they going to basically pat me down during the visa process for a dropshipping business?
That business that will own part of my business for me as a service, I think I need that brother. Can you link me one of those by chance, or could someone else?
Tech is what I do remote! Study programming, networking or some sort of infrastructure configuration management to be a network engineer, sys admin, DevOps, cloud architect or software engineer. Make over 100k/year and work in Thailand to live like a king! It will take you 3-5 years but it’s worth it.
hi Brett... my idea is to come to Thailand.... BUY a very low maintenance business.... run it at as easily as possible, pay taxes for 3 years and then hopefully apply for PR. Is this possible and what would you suggest?
Pls give examples of online jobs . I lived there 7 yrs and did all sorts but online it seems it’s all been done before also , start up money ? What to expect to spend loose etc . Thanks bro
My Mrs has a job for HSBC which allows her to work anywhere - if we chose to move to thailand what kind of visa would we require for her to be able to stay in thailand and continue the online job?
I think also what not a lot of people ever mention is you can actually find work if you just are open to meeting people here, you will need something to sustain you at first but the longer i have been here the more i have been offered though people i have met and that with out even being qualified.

It requires having some capital, but options trading online works as a sustainable way of generating monthly income. There is an edge, unlike currency trading or day trading. Also, there is a learning curve of course and options trading would not suit every temperament.
