So I live in Arizona and with the antelope canyon place it is on a reservation so you can not go without a tour guide… you also can’t go during certain times of the year due to flash floods, that’s how the caves formed!

Antelope canyon I don’t recommend kayaking for anyone not experienced. It’s far and exhausting and being near the marina it’s very rough w boat traffic. Def recommend tandems! I’ve done both sides but the tour is definitely the better way to see the canyon but LP is absolutely beautiful.

I absolutely love all the residents/frequent visitors in this comment section, posting awareness and warnings for those who just see a pretty place to hike. I know they never will, because it isn't their job. But more influencers who cover travel, need to stop posting only the beauty of these places and start sharing some warnings/dangers within their travel spots. I was born and raised on Oahu my entire life. I can't tell you how many tourist drown, get lost, fall off cliffs or die because they were going somewhere they weren't supposed to or couldn't handle for an instagram photo!

@crazy4beatles
@crazy4beatles 7 дней назад
Also probably don’t go with shorts and sports bra outfit. UPF blocking clothes or just loose pants and long sleeve top that is from a breathable material will keep you cooler in the heat then having the sun beat down on your exposed skin. And with sun protective clothing you only have to worry about reapplying sunblock on face, hands etc vs full legs and arms. Sunblock just makes me feel extra hot and like my skin can’t sweat properly
