Anecdote on B&C. My grandfather was a banker in a small prairie town in Eastern Colorado in the 30s. They of course had heard of B&C. Not having a large budget, my grandfather set up a trap in his vault should they ever come in. He rigged a trapdoor platform above the vault door on the inside. The trigger was a string connected to a paper clip under the vault door. On the trap door he put a five gallon bucket of formaldehyde. Of course he warned all his employees to unhook the paper clip before they opened the vault door. Most remembered. Those that did not only forgot once. B&C never showed :)
