"you'll realize Lisa touching the hamburger meat with her hands... that's ok because even without a sink nearby she keeps antibacterial wipes handy" they say that while there's a sink behind her lol
when dealing with raw meats you must wash your hands after touching it. and washing hands before cooking is good. even when wearing gloves you need to wash your hands. its common practice
Amelia Shipley considering I'm going to become a chef in the near future it's good to always keep everything clean considering I don't think you'd want to eat at a restaurant where they don't wash there hands; or have history of cross contamination which has led to death in serious situations. so good luck with salmonella.
Medium rare is too risky FOR HAMBURGER. You should absolutely eat steak medium rare, but if you don’t have a good immune system, don’t eat hamburger medium rare. I’ve learned it the hard way when i suddenly woke up in the night and have to charge to the bathroom. I search some information afterward and found out that ground beef have to be cooked well done because risk of contamination. If you ground your own meat the risk is lower. Oh and for me i find the texture of medium rare ground beef to be kinda gross. Normally, for steak i would not eat anything more than medium, but i don’t want to risk it for burger
Guys DON'T USE THE METAL SCRUBBER FOR YOUR GRILL. THOSE METAL PIECES CAN FALL OFF AND GET ONTO YOUR FOOD. Use a foot stone (I'm not sure what they're called but you can find them at the dollar store) instead! There has been cases of the metal pieces falling off and causing damages inside people's body.
Funny thing is they made a video of the dangers or the iron brush that they use to clean the grill and in the video they said the metal iron in the brush can fall in the grill and can be very harmful for you
When you scrub the grill with those wire brushes sometimes the wires fall off onto the grill and when you eat the food and if that wire stuck to it you can puncture you’re stomach or/and throat.
Bristles from the metal cleaning brush for the bbq can come off. Mixed with the food. Trip to the ER. Use alternatives like a pumice stone to clean. If not, use a big magnet to pick up the errant bristles b4 you cook
If she was so smart she should know that 1:23 is dangerous because the metal bristles can get stuck to the grill and then It could get in your food then you wind up in the hospital better off using an onion to clean your grill btw I seen it on the another episode they made
