Me too!! I had been doing intermittent fasting incorrectly for about 6 months, but watching Dr. Mindy’s videos got me on track. From May 1st to now, I got serious about my fasting and have lost 50 lbs! I completely cut out all snacks, no more coffee and no more alcohol (only green tea and water), and do 99% carnivore. I do add in avocados when I crave them. I also weight train about 4-5 days a week, which has really helped with my body composition. I’m 43 now, 5ft tall, I started at 165 (😩) and am at 115 with much more muscle. Good luck to everyone, it really is possible! Even over 40!!

Fasting is so easy to do while eating carnivore! I don’t even think about food. Perfect for work king at the office. I hate thinking about food and not being able to concentrate because I’m hungry. Just 5 days of pure carnivore and fasting and my body restructures itself and I’m thinner looking plus feel lighter!

I learned so much from Dr Mindy. It was with her that I did my first 72 hour fast, but then I became carnivore and went on. Also there are too many 'paid for plans'. I really appreciate that she takes into account how women's bodies and cycles are different.

I love how y'all refer to the earth & the moon! I'm a very faithful Christian, I see this as a positive force from God. God is the creator of EVERYTHING & so all this syncs with our Father's work! I absolutely love it! I've been on full carnivore since Thanksgiving & I've lost 18ish lbs! I feel so much better & sleeping better! I plan on joining the gang next month!

I've been doing OMAD since February 2019 and I LOVE LOVE LOVE doing OMAD. My husband does it too. It's a lifestyle that we've decided we can "do" for the rest of our lives. BUT ---- in 2023 ---- I'm going to focus on KETOVORE during my OMAD everyday.

I just about cried when the single mom was mentioned and making this way of life accessible to EVERYONE. I'm an only parent, single mom and I've been educating myself through RU-vid and Spotify and I nerd out on this stuff. I always wonder how will my fellow single mom know ANY of this. I'm a freak and have a desire to learn. Not everyone does, or they're too busy working to listen. I try to do my part to share whenever I can. My goal for the new year is to keep doing what I’m doing. Istarted my carnivore journey in April and have not veered off very often. And when I do it doesn’t fare well for me. Keep coming with the videos because they are so helpful. I have two weddings this next year and I want to look my best. I lost the 20 pounds I gained last year so I’m still at Ground Zero I guess. I want to lose 20 pounds by September. I’m 64 and it doesn’t come off as easily as it used to

I used to fast from 7pm till 1 or 2pm…18-19hrs and felt great then hit a wall and lost hair, felt anxious and everything tanked. Stephanie Keto Person scared me with fasting so I’ve hesitated to try again. Recently started carnivore for third time and researching a lot about increasing fat and medium protein. Because I know my hormones are in trouble I’m taking a holistic approach with circadian rhythms, sleep health, stress and spiritual growth and healing and learning to listen to my body’s needs, not just a formula written by someone. I look at so many who advocate a certain dogma and you’re all quite young. I’m 67 and have less resilience so need to learn how to tailor it all to my stage of life. Gets pretty confusing I must say. But fasting is calling me again. I’ve just downloaded Mindy’s book so will start again. Thank you for this endorphin rich video ❤

Can I ask a question….when I work up to a 3 day water fast, could it break the massive histamine overload I’ve been having where everything seems to trigger me. Has been so much worse on carnivore even though I try to exclude meats sitting around for too long. My eyes and sinuses and joint pain very debilitating. Some is oxalates too I’m guessing.

I've fasted fairly regularly for over 30 years on every type of diet out there... faaaaar easiest on carnivore. Like most anything else, fasting should never be forced, we should always take the time to learn the facts for ourselves in addition to great videos like this and most importantly, we need to understand that fasting is NOT a weight loss program. It's another tool in the toolbox of which weight loss is a great benefit. Don't allow yourself to focus on an arbitrary number on a weighing device. Keep learning and growing knowledge and focusing on overall health improvement. Thanks Bella for another awesome video!!!! Just ordered the book for my wife. Thank you Dr. Pelz!

I’m fasting today as my first day as I’ve been on carnivore for about three months strict, only dropped 2 kilos, so frustrating, but I have had so many benefits health wise that I’ve stuck at it. I started menopause two years ago and my weight skyrocketed 😢 weird thing is my body recently for a week got menstrual symptoms, I freaked out, I’m not having that again 😂.

I've had several clients recently that have had damaging effects from fasting. They weren't physically or mentally equipped to do it. Chronically stressed people with poor tolerability to major changes should not fast. That's an added contraindication. I'm not talking about people with just adrenal fatigue, I mean people that are erratic, don't sleep properly, get sick easily and so on 🙏💪

I’m getting sunlight grounding and water. This comes first. Next I eat what my body tells me. Mostly carnivore. I eat when my body tells me to. If I don’t feels hungry I don’t eat. I’m very aware of emotional eating. Thus butter, just few bites cuts the cravings. Empty trips to the fridge, get met with butter.

Regarding “carnivore fasting” mentioned near the end of the video In the 70s Bodybuilder Vince Gironda had a diet he called, “precursor hormone protocol” asides from the OG “Steak & Eggs” diet which he used for maximum definition , both heavy carnivore. Vince would always use heavy supplements too, like desiccated liver, desiccated testicles and kelp. His precursor hormone protocol was cyclical, but at the heaviest point in the 8 week cycle, he would consume 3 or more egg and dairy shakes (along with more protein from milk and egg source) and 2-3 pounds of meat 🥩 for lunch and dinner. Raymond, the guy ate 36+ whole eggs a day. Or more, during these times. The goal was to constantly maintain positive nitrogen balance, and he would source raw dairy and pasture eggs, each shake had 12 eggs, 6 oz of raw full fat milk and 6 oz of raw heavy cream.

This was awesome. I especially liked the topic around fasting results. It got me thinking, wouldn’t it be cool to have a tool like a flow chart that starts with a question “what is your goal for fasting?” And “are you male or female”. Then if the person’s answer is fat loss or autophagy then it continues to answer with what to eat/drink (or not eat 😅). So many good ideas. If anyone knows if such a tool (or app) please let me know!!❤

So happy for this video Dr. Pelz is the reason I started leaning into meat. I am a one meal a day person! My blood sugars have improved I still cannot eat as much as recommended as a carnivore and I have not yet been able to get rid of the heavy whipping cream in my coffee But I am definitely leaning into the meat.

Oh my gosh!!!! I LOVE Dr. Mindy. I ran into her during my fasting journey, she has so much ever-evolving knowledge. Unfortunately, I fell off track from my prolonged waterfasting and gained the 70 of the 80lbs I lost back. As a 100% carnivore I stopped having pms symptoms. I use to get the worse cramps at the start of my period, now I get nothing. I still get low energy for first two days but everything else is so much better. I feel Dr Pelz advise is not catered to carnivores.

Dr. Pelz was centering her conversation around the hormones because when it comes to a womans cycle we need to learn how to adjust our eating in order to succeed and our fasting window (many women struggle or backslide when it comes to their cycle and ovulation because our bodies do require more food at certain periods to the extent we should not be fasting at certain times. (weather carnivore or keto) she do believe in healthy carbs when your progesterone levels require it in order to boost its levels). It's definitely true I've tried Dt. Pelz ways from her videos (she talks about how bad her clients struggle on keto and intermittent fasting be because they are in their progesterone building stage of their cycle which require higher glucose levels. On the flip side Ive experienced a backslide during my cycle on carnivore until I was reminded in one of Bella"s videos that the same rule applies (eat more during your cycle and ovulation or you will set yourself up for failure quickly). Also no fasting during that time. I've been ok ever since.

I respect anyone who changes their viewpoint based on new information and that includes Dr. Pelz. I just think it would have been more honest to say that you used to promote OMAD quite vigorously when you said something like ¨OMAD is one of the most amazing things you can ever do for your body!¨, but now it´s almost like you´re laughing at Dr. Jason Fung and those who still do OMAD because they like how it makes them feel. That said, I really enjoyed the rest of the interview and found it really helpful--thank you all.

Amazing content love dr Mindy can’t wait to read her book 6years ago I discovered fasting by accident my boyfriend dumped me we just bought a house together never expected it I started staving myself and suffer with a bladder condition called over active bladder and it was painful as I was so call fasting I was getting better and went down a rabbit hole and discovered it was a thing I then stop having to use a catheter and felt amazing and then discovered keto which made me feel good in the beginning but vegetables made me feel rotten then came across carnivore and omg I have never looked by 4 and half years on I want to thank my ex for this 😂😊🥩🔥

I’m into astrology so I love the discussion about women connecting to the moon cycle and the natural connection we have to the change in seasons and earth! Many Astro enthusiasts already do some of this ❤. Love the more spiritual connection of a health journey. I will say that spiritual people tend to eventually embrace vegetarianism or veganism while of course I’m embracing the meat base side of things. I’m also an infertility nurse so we live by cycle day 1😂

Mindy was wrong in her comment Jason Fung promoted one meal a day. I follow Jason Fung for years and he's a big promoter of intermittent fasting but not only one meal a day. Dr. Eric Berg has promoted one meal a day. I generally keep my eating window in a 4 to 6 hour eating window two meals a day. With occasional 24 to 48-hour fast. I've seen tremendous health benefits from this.

This is the answer I’ve been waiting for. Understanding the process of metabolic health and releasing excess strategically. I Would fast but had been doing it by accident not purposefully ( if that makes sense). Can’t wait to learn more this month and get Dr. Pelz book! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hi I've been a Ketovore mostly carnivore now 4 5 months. I work nights here in uk driving trucks and your videos have really helped me. Yesterday I fasted until the evening 19 hours went our and had sirloin and a bit of salad. Then 3 eggs at 4am here 6 hours later and 4 beers with friends. When I woke with a sore head I had to take an ibuprofen then sleep a little longer. When I woke I was constipated. First time it's happened while on this lifestyle of eating. Any tips to stop this would help me greatly as I hate to take any meds to stop that. That's for any tips. First time I tried salad to since my way of eating. Usually I have a bit of kale or Brockley with my after work steak and cottage cheese:)

I’m hearing that people with hashimotos should not fast? I’m 63. I have hashimotos. I have very high antibodies. I am overweight. Low energy tired often. Just started on carnivore for first time. This is day 2. Already lost 3 lbs. I know it’s water. But I’ll take it!

Check out Neisha Berry (Neisha Loves It) for Hashimoto’s info. She’s in remission by using Carnivore/Ketovore. She eats when hungry but within a window, I think.

I find I get the chills from fasting way more when drinking cold water, especially in excess. Also coffee can do it. 🥶

I've fasted before it became such a popular thing to do. I was still in elementary school. Luckily my mom always took my side when teachers came side ways. Now that I'm trying carnivore along with fasting, I'm excited to see how it goes.
