I am convinced butter cured my degenerative bone disease in my right foot. I went low carb over a decade ago. About 13 years now. For the first months I craved butter. Ate about a pound a week. Craved it. At that point every step for the last 10 years had been painful. I was suppose to be in a wheelchair by age 57. One day, walking downstairs I realized my foot did not hurt. 65 now and I can hop on that foot.

I am a carnivore by choice, but the choice was driven by all the problems associated with carb diets. Between ages 48 and 60 I gained weight and man boobs, as well as fat around my waist. As soon as I changed to a carnivore diet, everything started to change. Inflammation in my body decreased noticeable within a week or two, and the weight started to go down. Arthritis became less of a problem which was something hounding me for 12 years. Carpal tunnel syndrome decreased over a 3 to 4 months period and is almost completely gone, and I was able to bowl again after 5 years of not being able to pick up the ball. My skin healed and stopped being flaky and irritated especially on my face and scalp. My muscles started to grow again, and my skin which had suddenly gotten very thin over the last two years suddenly started to thicken again a little bit and regained some of its elasticity. I feel younger and my skin feels younger. I discovered your truth. Butter is gold. Bread was a gold pan, to hold the gold. Butter is king and was likely a key to health in ancient times. Fat keeps humans alive. Protien makes humans stronger. Animal sources of these nutritional needs are the gold standard of food. My cholesterol is on mark after 5 months. LDL is high as it has for 35 years, but that is genetic. The needle hasn't moved. All my markers are pegged center/center right. Love you channel and thank you for all the great content. At 60 I feel I have a new lease on life. I am hoping this will help me keep my cancer at bay, and keep me healthy. I go to a gym about 3 times a week and lift weights. I work out hard and am pretty strong. My hair started to fall out a little faster initially on this diet but suddenly started getting thicker and healthier. Toenails look nicer and fingernails grow faster and are very healthy.

@@breannakelly-watt7968 nope my body having troubles digesting all the fat. It could be galbladder problems or just low stomach acid. Monitor your stool closely. For electrolytes I bought magnesium glycinate, 1 avacado a day, and redmonds/Celtic salt. It WAS necessary, QOL improved, and yes I did a full month on carnivore no cheating to figure this out. I now consider myself keto and starting to ferment my own kvass, kefir, and sauerkraut. I suspect it’ll take me atleast 6 months really get where I’m headed. Unlike many others I did carnivore for mental and hormonal reasons. This diet did help me and I lost 20lbs in a month but started experiencing muscle twitches all over my body, dry eye, and symptoms that can only be described as hypoglycemia.

Thank you so much Bella, Dr. Bright, your team, and everyone in the comment community. Wow. Over the span of my seventy plus years as a mom and now a grandma, I had tried many diets to reduce joint inflammation, heal my gut, and/or dispel migraine. You name it: macrobiotic (20 years), low-carb (10 years), then decades of chinese herbs, acupuncture, super foods, vegan, hi-protein shakes, juicing - but symptoms were getting worse - plus I began gaining weight. Finally, about three years ago, I combined Keto with intermittent fasting - which began to help. I lost 20 pounds without heavy exercising. This put me in the "not overweight for my height" category - but still I had the feeling of "dieting" or "deprivation". Still had zero energy. Kept craving sugar and carbs. The migraines continued. So did the chronic dehydration - no matter how much water I drank. From Keto I took the leap of faith into GAPS. For the first time in many years I was sleeping well and waking up without pain in my back. The success with GAPS encouraged me to go carnivore - which I did about a month ago, with excellent results. Energy up, brain fog gone, waistline to my pre-childbearing size. In the first week I lost three inches from my waistline (which had bloated out to 40 at my worst), now holding at 32. Within days after increasing butter and meat intake I was feeling like a teen. My heartfelt appreciation - it takes courage to face the myths we were "fed" about "low-fat" - but the result will speak for itself. Cravings for sugar/carbs are gone -maybe because my memory is stronger. I can now make better choices about food/water/electrolyte balance because I remember how much suffering is caused by empty carbs. Wishing everyone good health!

OMG…Dr Bright just lit a Huge light bulb for me. People with high cortisol levels r not hungry in the morning. Her explanation was amazing. That is me to a T! For 30 years. I figured out the late night hunger pangs on my own, just a slice or of butter was all I needed. Previously I used to snack on either cereal or almonds. Not good. I’ve only been on BBBE for 5 days and I know the inflammation in my back is gone. I’ve been on pain meds for 13 years and feel confident I can stop them altogether . I’m so excited! The 6 lb weight loss is a blessing also. This is only a sliver of my story, but feeling blessed❤ Update 3/16/23. 2 months on bbbe. Guess I was too optimistic on my original comment. Lol. I have lost 28 lbs, I Feel Amazing! No brain fog, the mental clarity is something that shouldn’t be minimized. It’s one of the major benefits to me at least. The night time snaking gone, sleep is so much better even with my back pain. But the part where I said I’d be off of pain meds might have been too optimistic . Even though my inflammation is gone and much of the pain on the left side of my back is completely gone, the right side is still a beast to where I still a cane or rollator. Seeing my pain specialist and surgeon again this month, which is a regular thing for me. But that’s ok, I’m continuing to lose weight, maybe another 45 lbs will help. 😄

I love Dr. Bright! Would love to have her go into detail on the fat needs of developing girls. I have a ballet student who told me her family is plant based and it explains SO much. I've been trying to figure out why she is so dis-coordinated and weak in unusual areas. I think plant based explains a lot of it. I am going to talk about nutrition in my classes in a couple months, mostly from a "macro-nutrient" perspective and then talk about bioavailability and the importance of fat for hormones. I'd love as much information about this as possible ❤️

You are absolutely correct in wanting to help her. However, her plant based parents will be furious & you are taking a chance in loosing her. I’d live a life by example…. One day she will ask how you are so strong. Then you can tell her that for you, plants are harmful & you only became strong when you ate lots of animal fat & animal protein. Hopefully that might start her thinking

This has been so helpful! You have described me here to a T. I live an extremely stressful life and have most of my life growing up with alcoholics and married to an alcoholic. I certainly did not plan that but that is what has happened over time. I am 64. I have always been thin until several surgeries that blew up my metabolism: hysterectomy due to cervical cancer, back surgery and steroid treatments for that etc. I have been very overweight after these events for a long time now…20+ years. I just began Carnivore June 4th. I will not eat any other way now. I need to heal and get my body back. I will check out the fat fasting videos to learn how to do that. Thank you for your videos! So good. Last weekend my daughter decided to do a 3 day fast. I agreed to do it with her. The day before she had an ultra stressful day - Driving about 8 hours in total to take a frustrating M-I-L to an appointment. FAST Day 1 she had a headache and at night her legs were aching like with period pain. She wasn't hungry the whole fast. I was just without energy Day 1 and lying down most of Day two. I got tired of not being able to think straight and at dinner I just decided to eat butter+++. I had never heard of fat fasting, though we joked that I was on one. After a little I was back to normal. My daughter stopped fasting after 2 days but the pain in her legs only went away after she ate more fat. This all makes so much sense after listening to this video.

I just wanted to say that it’s so cool that Bella directly asks Dr. Bright what she believes regarding fasting when it’s an issue that SBG and Dr. Bright do not agree on. It’s important on my journey because I’ve done a ton of fasting- I really like it! I was drawn to SBG when I heard about the priming and fasting. But with my own personal journey which includes 32 years vegetarianism (25 of those vegan), autoimmune disease, major lifelong intrusive menstrual problems, overweight/obese since age 5, Bells Palsy, depression and more recently breast cancer…. I’m starting to feel like I’m a slow healer that needs to set fasting aside for awhile. I want to charge forward but each one of us is so different and I’m thinking I need to just heal and forget about weight loss and fasting for awhile. Much respect to everyone in this video who are all so clearly dedicated to helping others heal🙏🏽

Amazing interview! Thanks Bella and coaches!! Fat fasting sounds awesome for some of us. Can’t wait to see how it’s implemented in the SBG network.

I found this video incredibly interesting to watch, as a middle aged guy who has suffered extraordinary chronic stress for several years. I recently tried to do the high fat carnivore diet and found myself relying on almost 100g butter per day to keep fat levels up (almost a whole US 'stick'). I had no expectation on any alteration in hormone levels, but I 100% felt a changed in 'inner calm'. Not a lot, but enough to percieve. I was also able to start doing resistance training for the first time in a few years. Again, not a lot, but before the stress of any kind of exertion would cause unbearable adrenal spikes about 2-4 hours after workout. These would often go on for a day or two. One thing I did notice though, as the deeper I got into ketosis, the more the adrenal spikes would happen anyway. I've experienced this before and this happens irrespective of electrolyte intake. I feel there is a stress on the body getting into ketosis that may take some time for the body to become accustomed to, but even more so when already chronically stressed. I wonder if there's a non electrolyte solution to this transition/adaptation phase?

Make sure to take a good dose of selenium with the iodine. I developed a swollen throat on iodine and didn't understand what was going on. Then I was listening to one of of the iodine experts and he mentioned that selenium was important but he didn't explain why. I did some more research and decided to try very large doses of selenium (4x the RDA) for a few days and the problem resolved right away. The swollen throat had been worrying me and making me very uncomfortable especially when trying to go to sleep for a couple of months and resolved very quickly with the selenium.

I've done Kung Fu for nearly 30 years. When I was in my early years , I was stretching and tore my left hip flexer muscle. Later I stretched my MCL on the same leg. Later in 2010 I distended my right knee backward and tore all my Quads in my left leg. Nothing was healing my muscles until I went carnivore. My body is still craving pounds of meat daily even after 5 months. I also eat about 1 stick of butter every day. I'm an Uber driver and drive nearly 14 hours a day. It's really difficult to get my excersize in but I do manage to get at least 100 Squats in daily. I only lost about 12lbs so far. My body is reshaping like crazy and Iodine is very important. It's like my body is afraid to fast and it gets into a fear mode. I know that fasting is critical but it's a real struggle to give my body that time.

The fasting gets easier every day. I do 18 hours daily. Even when I was staying with my son recently, I managed to do 18 hours. A huge victory in self control.

If some body has allergic from diary product how he can consume butter.?
@w1975b
@w1975b Год назад
@@seddiqas usually it's the lactose or A1 protein that people have issues with. So ghee would solve the lactose problem, and there is A2 milk and/or cheese available. If it's a different problem, I guess you have to focus on egg yolks, beef fat, etc.

@@seddiqas Ghee. It's butter but clarified of anything that isn't milk fat. Could also have any other fat source like tallow if you worry about it.

Hi everybody! This is Simona from Italy, I follow KETO carnivore and I love it! I love to eat my delicious butter and fat meat, BUT thanks God that I don't live in Italy, because every summer when I come back to see my Family it is very hard to follow my life style!!! Very hard! My italian summer holiday is the only period of the year that I eat Mediterranean food ..

Oh my gosh… wish I had seen this a month ago. But better late than never. I need to get Dr. Bright’s books. Thank you for having her on your channel SABG. Gosh… everything Dr. B said about cortisol and this diet rings so true. I have to get my levels checked every 3 months bc AI disorders. I remember how bad off I was before I began this way of eating. It seemed to have helped tremendously when I came to the keto/ carnivore diet and began eating butter. I have a lot more control over flare ups than I did eating the SAD.
