Back in the 1990’s this was called “going postal “ because postal workers would lose their jobs and then come back to seek revenge.

Work place violence is terrible. Used to happen in post office, now happens everywhere.

Just got let go from work as an intern 9 months in. Worked hard, but in the end, it seemed that the company and VP saw I wasn’t fit to reapply as a full timer after graduating soon. It was tough, especially knowing other interns that stayed there longer than I, got to stay. I had to self reflect on what I did wrong, or what I could have done better. I’m also in my mid 30’s so time really is ticking for me. To feel somewhat better, I took a long hike up a steep mountain. On that hike, I really got to think about things. The only thing I could do was take my experience and things what I could have done better, and use it in my next job, and treat the job I was working at as a learning experience. Now I’m going to my school’s job fair, while trying to keep my head up high. It stings, but I know time will heal all wound. I hope that anyone going through the same thing can learn to cope somehow without resorting to violence, and know that, no matter how dark it is, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

This chief of police and her officers needs to show Texas/uvalde how police must respond in an active shooter scenario. This could be solved by simply installing a "lock" entry corridor with metal detector before a main entry door is unlocked letting you in. And having a security guard buzz you out though similar means.

The shooter is 25 years old, plenty of time ahead to build his career. Why ruin your life over one place? He was probably being mistreated on the job. He probably had some nasty manager who was targeting him and taunting him.
