Ive owned 17 alfa,s in my years no other marque has the racing history that alfa have .my giulia quadrifoglio in trofo white is a dream to own get looks everywhere i go people go out of there way to talk about the car.alfa,s are special only marque ive ever owned with soul and passion built in. My giulia is worth now as much as i paid for it 2 years ago it was 2 years old when i bought it for 55k it hasn't depreciated like most German garbage on the market but i am a total alfisti.
My favourite is the 159 Sportswagon Quadro Foglio Verde I owned before. Black with black leather and red stitching. Living in Singapore, it cost probably as much as an Aston Martin in Europe though.
I've been contemplating a 159 tbi, would be my first alfa and I heard out of the 3 engine choices that's the one to go for but I don't really know much else about them in terms of common faults / reliability/ tuning capabilities they are quite a neich car
JB can you do another vid on cheap cars and insurance, but mainly go into the details you would put down as an 18 year old. I've had my licence a year now i am 18, will be turning 19 in September and the cheapest quote I've gotten so far is 3k on a 1l Hyundai i10 as a main driver. i can get cheaper quotes as a second driver or third, however i would like to really benefit from the NCB. Clearly i am doing something wrong.
I'm going back 15 years... I went main driver paid double my mate who went named driver he paid half what I paid 3 years in a row he then went main driver and was paying the same as me anyway. Age is probably more important than NCD from experience.
Is it cheating if I say my favourite Alfa is the GTA-R 290 Widebody? Considering that it's built in Clevedon rather than Italy...I regularly drive past Alfaholics on my way to Tesco, although they're hidden in an industrial estate so sadly you can't see anything from the road. I also do quite like the Montreal. I used to be a big fan of the 164 purely because the number plate is in the middle 😄 Picking a favourite Alfa is really hard, so I'm just going to pick my favourite that I've driven, since as far as I remember I've only driven 2: the Giulia QV and a 159 diesel...
Do jaguar ? I’m so tempted to change my mk7 gti to xe s 6v petrol just don’t know if the reliability problems are enough to put me off it’s one of the better engines in a jaguar do though
Gosh you are so right. The good news is two Screws and the placing of the number plate (the ugliest part of any car) can be put across the grill. Like putting a plaster across the nose of a supermodel.
