What is the difference between Standard and PDF Arial in the text properties? Does it make a difference when plotting to PDF?

When I select text placed using MText , it changes the text and makes it hard to read. This is something new that’s happening. Wondering how to change that.

Better to make your background darker or black because it seems not visible specially you are using light colors😊
