Hi Aaron. I am looking to buy a boat in Spain to live on and occasionally take out for a trip up the coast, I have my eye on a Gallart 13 mp with 2 HP Volvo penta tamd 70 Diesel engines, I had some photos sent and a video of the engines running but there was some light smoke coming from the exhaust is this a major problem?
Hey Andy, Just depends on amount of smoke and color. Volvo are known for being smokey on startup, (white smoke) but if it continues when the engine is warm may be more of an issue with injectors or something else. If it’s blue smoke it’s likely oil, which is not good. Black can be other issues e.g blocked air filter
