Darius is the opposite of Ethan, I swear. Ethan always acts way too aloof, but Darius is just a sweet lovely Hufflepuff and must be protected at all costs. What a warm, happy, wholesome lad.
The straw in the can one isn't actually true. Yes, it works, but that's not *why* it's like that. It's like that because it serves its function to open the can just as it is and it's cheaper to produce them with the holes than to make them solid. It's purely a cost cutting measure that people found a way to utilize for convenience.
jones81381 true. Majority of these are unofficial uses that people come up with not the actaul inventor/makers of the products. To me it false information and just doing it for the views to keep the channel relevant,
The sample cup wasn't intended to be unfolded. It's designed like that so they don't need to use any adhesives to keep the cup shape. The unfolding thing is something people came up with after the fact. Same goes for the soda can tab, holding the straw wasn't the original intention, but something people came up with later.
I don’t know if this is only a thing in Europe but we actually have some companies that sell cups with seeds in them to grow new plants while decomposing
Everybody talking about how the soda can one doesn't belong in this video, but I'm here wondering why people are drinking canned soda through a straw in the first place
The coffee lid is designed that way so they're safely stackable, not really intended as a coaster. Like, you can carry two cups in one hand to open a door or something.
There it’s two right answers for the spaghetti spoon, it is easier to pick up noodles with that spoon, I know it’s not really hidden but it is still a purpose.
Okay for the pasta spoon, the hole in the middle is literally just so water can drain out when you pick up spaghetti or pasta or whatever, it was not intended to be used as a portion sizer
Well, it's kind of a poor question ”what is this utensil used for?” The main use for it is to SCOOP up pasta. The hole in the middle of the utensil is an EXTRA feature as it's one serving of pasta. It’s not the one purpose of the entire utensil, as they make it out to be in the episode.
LordSenile It’s an actual feature. The holes in utensils I’ve seen is one serving. And what is considered “normal” amount of pasta is very subjective to each and every one.
You guys do know that the pasta ladle's main purpose is serving and handling the pasta, right? And the hole also functions as a drain for the water when testing the noodles.
@@organizationxiii6458 People do strain the water normally, but the hole's function is still used for more than a measurement. As I said, it's to keep water out of the spoon when you're testing the noodles so you don't accidentally burn yourself.
Hate to be that guy, but the holes in the tabs aren’t for the purpose of the straw. It’s to help with leverage. The hole just happens to fit a straw in it. Cans of beer have the same hole and you wouldn’t drink that with a straw. Same can be said for the pasta spoon. The hole is just for draining, coincidentally it also fits close to a single serving. A quick google search can answer these straight away.
While I do know that almost all of these are not true. All it takes it a little googling come on people. These are just things people found to better utilize things. Not their design purpose. However I think the strainer spoon is. At least in some cases. From the looks of it, some brand companies might have marketed off of this convenience. I found that my spoon actually has printed under the hole "4oz". Which I would assume is the serving size of pasta the hole would accommodate. At least with the size of my spoon. But I don't know. Not sure what the printed number would be for otherwise.
