In this video, I give my top five exercises to increase your acceleration like Su Bingtian. Su ran the fastest 60m split of all time with a time of 6.29. Not even Usain bolt was able to do this. In order to increase his acceleration, Su focused on improving max strength, his power output, and his stride frequency. With all of those factors combined, he was able to run 9.83 at the Tokyo Olympics and won his semi-final round. I did a lot of research for this video and not only that but I learned from my last video on him in which I listened to a podcast by his coach Randy Huntington. Randy is one of the best professional track coaches out there. My top 5 exercises were hip #thrusts, back #squats, #box #jumps, #deadlifts, and #kettlebell #swings. All great exercises for increasing hamstring, glute, quad, back, and core strength. The hips are also worked very hard.

Why would you do explosive deadlifts when you can do cleans.

Power cleans are for more advanced athletes and dangerous for those that don’t know how to do them properly. Deadlifts are proven to really increase speed and power as well, so I went with that instead

@@AthleticEducation Yeah.... it would be smart to not go hard on cleans until you have mastered the movement from head to toe. I tore my scapholunate ligament from a failed HEAVY clean attempt that I was not ready for...... not good!
