Have you ever wondered what happens when an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher all get together? It sounds like I’m describing the start of a good joke, but in fact, in 2020, I launched a new series called 5-Fold Live, where I sat down with one member of the five-fold ministry and unpack how a prophet works in unity with each part of the five-fold ministry to equip the Body of Christ!
In the fourth episode of the series, I sit down with my special guest Danny Silk. Danny Silk is a 5-Fold pastor and is the President and Co-Founder of Loving On Purpose-a global ministry for families and communities. As many already know, Danny’s passion centers around helping people build, strengthen, and heal their vital relationships. He writes life-changing books, and I don’t say that lightly. Listen in as Danny and I share how a prophet and a pastor work together in equipping the saints!

Love this conversation. I get mistaken as a Evangelist as a Revivalist. It’s Harvest Time so I’ll do the work of an Evangelist as we’re all called too. But I’m torn a lot with my Primary and Secondary Gift. Functioning and Looking both ways. This conversation is really coming up right now so I’m super glad to find this.

Different ways we get revelation from God: prophets sometimes get revelations first and go the Bible, teacher get revelation reading the Bible it self and pastors get revelation asking question, what the people need in this season? Priceless! 12:20

I have a question about the pastoral anointing: Is it normal to not care as much for the people God did not call you to care for (those not belonging to your "flock") ? I understand that we do have to LOVE everyone regardless of whatever, but sometimes I can come across people that don't seem to understand (I think) that those God has called me to serve are my priority. If I tried helping everyone, the growth and health of those under my leadership can be compromised. So even if I wanted to, I can't commit my weekly time to every person who is lost if God has no leading for me to do so... I think this is one of the challenges in the relationship of the evangelist and the pastoral role.
