Good video. I'm surprised you didn't give some suggestions of what would be some better fonts than Helvetica. I get that you don't want to be "that guy" who tells the masses to use this or that and we blindly follow but some suggestions would have been helpful.

It depends on what you’re trying to communicate. Gotham is a good alternative if you’re looking for something “friendlier.” Futura has a bit more “structure” to it. The geometric nature of the typeface feels more modern than Helvetica in my opinion. Gill Sans is a great option if you need a sans serif font that has a more “classic” feel.

Please.... I just want to know the font you were using for the subtitles on this video. That heavy sans serif font that looks slightly stumpy. Looks great in all caps. I've been seeing it everywhere, and I NEED it. Please help... helppppp.

Being a bit of a Typeface elitist in recovery - Gotham, Futura, Helvetica, Garamond, and Didot are my all-time faves, but I’ve been trying to branch out a bit. I’ve been really liking and using DDC Hardware, Neutratype, and Proxima Nova recently.

I nominate these fonts as the next group of fonts: CALIBRI (even Microsoft is letting it go... its time guys), IMPACT (anything written in "Impact" no longer makes the right sort of impact), and AMERICAN TYPEWRITER.
