I cried watching this because it relates. The things you mentioned in the starting of the video are the things I've experienced too. Sometimes it's not fair but God is faithful.
I have a couple of those friends... that never invite me to anything when they hangout.. and always have inside jokes and never reply to my text..... so I really am praying for better friends and I can be a better friend
Tabitha Lucdor ,I had some of those as well until I confronted them and I ended it.. God showed me they weren't right for me and were stumbling blocks and one was a friend since child hood.. Honestly a true friend won't play those type of games with you.. God will bring better friends..
This came at the right time. The past few months have been really rough on me Friendship-wise, I had a couple of really bad fallouts with friends I thought would be my bridesmaids someday, and I was so heartbroken at first, but God showed me in time that it was for the best. I tried to reconcile with them, but I realized they weren't the kind of people I wanted in my life anymore. God has shown me through these trials who my real friends are and to realize that not every friend is meant to be in my life forever. And now as I enter a new part of my life in a new state, it seems like your message was God's way of telling me it's okay to move on and start new. Thank you Jamie again 😊

I REALLY needed this today. Thank you. I cried. 5 months ago one of my very best friends passed away suddenly, unexpectedly, and with unknown cause 18 days before her 18th birthday. That day my life was completely changed forever, particularly my friendships. As if high school friendships aren't hard enough, my friends and I have all been hurting and struggling and sometimes that has resulted in accidentally hurting one another amidst our pain. After all, hurt people hurt people. It's been so hard to navigate that. It's brought us together but being together is never the same. Every time we hang out now it's just so obvious that someone is missing. It's hard to know what is and isn't okay to say and when it is and isn't okay to talk about. I've been so terrified of my other friendships changing as a result of this pain even though I know it's inevitable. I'm terrified of my other friendships falling apart in this time when I need them most. Basically, thank you. I've been struggling with this so much. Your prayers are greatly appreciated.

Jamie this really blessed me today. Thank you for the encouragement and realness. I've been struggling lately with the reality of my friendships. It's hard to invest so much in a friendship that seems one-sided and feels as if that other person doesn't recognize your effort and how much you care. I needed the reminder that my validation doesn't come from other people but from Christ.
Jamie your such an inspiration. Everything you explained has happened to me since I'm in middle school and friends are in and out all the time. Also i am a missionary in England and i usually feel like i don't fit in. Thank you for inspiring and encouraging everyday. I have had a friendship that has fallen apart. The person wont even look at me. I honestly tried to apologize and rebuild it but the person doesn't want anything to do with me. This happened last year and I still feel hurt and mistreated. This felt like a hug from one sister in Christ to another. I was (still am) going through some hurt with a friend (my bestfriend) in the same instant that I came across this video. Ahh it feels personally sent from God. I've been waiting for a while to watch this video since you put it on snapchat that you were posting this because I knew how tough it would be for me to watch. I just recently lost my best friend (she didn't die we just stopped being friends) and im not sure why. She never gave me reason even though I asked and tried to mend it. But i know God has a reason and that though the season was short, I was shown in that short time what a true best friend is. And it's helped me to appreciate those around me, especially God, more. Jamie Grace, you spoke so much truth!! I've recently gone through something exactly like this. I was on the receiving end of the hurt and did all these steps. Unfortunately I had to let go and move on. But I know God had a perfect plan and we were only supposed to be friends for a season. Thank you for speaking so much life and truth! I cried watching this and was so encouraged. The last few weeks have been some of the hardest I have ever experienced in any relationship and it all got harder today. But this video has just confirmed what God has been teaching me. That I should continue to love with His love and trust Him completely even when life isn't going according to my "plan". Hi Jamie! I just wanted to say thank you for making this video. It brought tears to my eyes as I watched it b/c I too went through a friendship that ended lets just say "poopy". My best friend I simply didn't agree on something and long story short we haven't talked now in about 5 years. It's crazy. I do go back just about every day and think to myself what could I have done and I ask God for wisdom. The struggle is real. Friendships are a treasure and I think people take them for granted. I tried to reach out to her but she didn't seem to care. This video made me cry but it helped me so much and I wanted to let you know. I'm going through stuff with my friends. I didn't do anything wrong that I know of, but they never want to hang out and they say oh its not you and whatever. I have a new-ish job and I was talking to a co-worker about how I have no friends there (at work) and it really struck me that its hard to make friends at my age (20) its really freaking hard like i don't know how and it just sounds stupid

this year has been a painful friendship year... I think I've been in the "stunned" stage for months... I probably said some things that may have hurt back.. I tried not to, but I think everyone at my church on all sides were hurt, and are still hurting. I'm in a need to walk into "try" mode, but I'm so afraid... not sure if I'm more afraid of hurting them more, or being hurt all over again and having to start the healing again.... :/ powerful words, thanks for sharing.

Your music has always helped me when I'm down, and I recently lost a friend after she graduated she told me she would always be there for me and support me when I need it. I found out this year in June that my grandma has stage 4 terminal cancer. I tried to reach out to her for support but she only ignored me. once she graduated she blocked me on everything. This isn't the first time I've had someone do this to me. I can't help but ask myself what am I doing wrong? I have tried asking them what did I do wrong, did I say something wrong, hurt you? In return they ignore me. Is there anything to make the pain of losing a good friend any better? Thank you Jamie Grace for this very inspirational video! jamie, this video was so great. I've been going through a rough time with my new friend who keeps a distance from me and I've tried asking her what I did that made her avoid me a lot and supposedly she doesn't like my personality and it really hurts because i thought we'd be like best friends forever but she won't even like include me in conversations and she's always spending time with other people who are kinda rude. I've tried praying and i just hope that God will show me if this is the right friend for me because as of right now, she's the only friend i have at my new school.

I just went through the steps with a friend, and we each made up to one another. It was emotional for me, but I am so happy to have put that behind me. And although I was hurt I am thankful God put me through the pain because I have learned that Christ is all I need.

Now I know I'm a bit late to say this. Thank you Jamie Grace. Thank you for making this and everything else that you do for us as your fans. I know that many people don't care about the drama that others go through and post here, but I wanted to let you know that this video really, really hit home. I was able to relate with everything you said there (except for the wedding part, but anyways) and I want to thank you. Without going into too much detail, I've gone through some drama with a friend. What first started out as drama about a guy turned into more than what it should. My friend decided to hang around this guy, and who am I to say who they can be around. But I didn't feel safe around him and all I did was try to warn my friend. They completely ignored me every time I tried to warn them. Finally more drama happened and next thing I know she's totally given up on me and is blaming me for things I never did. I tried to help but she didn't accept it. But this video has really helped.
Yeah, I had a season pass not too long ago... It was still a while ago, though. Anyway... I could say I pretty much know the exact reason why the friendship had to break now, but even so it's hard for me to believe it happened. I mean, this girl acted completely out of character and made it nearly impossible to confront her about it. I wonder about it so much... It was just so mind-boggling. Then once, outside of school, she was all friendly to me again but I didn't tell her that I was going back to homeschooling because I just wanted to run away. I didn't want be to around her if she was going to pretend like nothing happened, because of course things might even continue... Yeah... So I was thinking of writing about a similar situation in a fictional story to help me deal, 'cause writing is like my outlet, but I'm trying to be cautious about how I do it... I want to look at it from a Godly point of view, ya know?

+Gracey V hey! a friendship change is hard (especially when you think things will never change) & with my situation we have just all kinda went different directions... one friend is married, one is still in nursing school & getting married soon, & I'm working a lot & in the process of building a home for my fiancé & I to live in after our wedding. i still txt them every once in a while, when the Spirit leads me to do it, I send words of encouragement or just tell them I love them & we'll say that we hope to get together soon but it seems like it wont ever happen sometimes. but through all of it I've come to embrace the verse that says the Lord directs our path. & for me & my situation, even though it's an uncomfortable thing right now, it's a growing process. but definitely the 1)Ask 2)Try 3)Know process is fantastic! Jamie is so encouraging & never forget to always look to the Lord for guidance in everything! I feel like I'm rambling but I hope it answered your question somehow lol

Well for me, I'm still in High school, so I can't completely relate, but I'm going through a similar situation at school, where the friends I've known for ages are spreading apart, and it's awful because I feel so excluded and alone at school, they leave me out and I've spent years with these people, and now it's just going to be a lot different. I know this is part of God's plan and this has definitely grown me a lot closer to him.

This is really incredible. About 30 mins before I watched this one of my best friends sent me some really hurtful messages. This isn't the first time it's happened. It was just one of those moments when I gave up. I gave up on our friendship. Temporaliy. But the way she was treating me was not okay. I pray that God will open up her heart and heal mine. I was just scrolling through Instagram when I stumbled upon this video. This video has really comforted me and had open my eyes. My phone has buzzed many times while I was watching this. I know whatever she says may hurt but my acceptence is not found in her. It is found in Jesus Christ. Who will accecpT me and love me for eternity. That is the only friendship I need.

I'm 34/M, she is 39/F She just says whatever happens go with it. Told me in the past (summer 2017) she wants a small group of close friends and I THINK hinted at me because what I did for her and our closeness and that she oddly hangs around people but mostly just aquantances. We got close, she went through a major crisis and I was there for her, hell I gave her enough money to take 4 months off work (she has 2 kids in their 20's) and it scared the shit out of me and had all that time to heal, had all that time to think what she wants and got her dream job now and says it was all because of me. We hung out 3 times in the summer of 2017 (all 3 times to give her money though, but we had a coffee, went for a walk talking, sat on the bench, flirted, was super open, etc and she cried), text a lot (she hates texting), called on the phone several times. 2018 starts and i'm depressed and shut myself off from people for a LONG time but finally hang out in May, I kept putting off and we finally meet up in Oct 17 and tell her everything and why I shut off, that I felt unworthy of being around anyone. Ask her if we can hang out more and she says yes, that she wants me to come with her when she goes places, try her moms yoga thing. Wants me to phone her any time I want to (but she does not phone me even when I tell her she can :/ ). This may be nothing but also stopped texting "xo" or text me because she was just thinking about me as she wrote and 1 time said oh the phone that she loved me (friend love pretty sure). She recently text me she really appreciates me and thanked me for the loan I gave her and all the support I gave her and seems like she really wants me to call her, she's always excited when I text her i'll call her soon. but we have only hung out 2 times since I helped her (we only hung around for the money giving thing) even after what she said and that with her new career she has more time for people that mean a lot to her. But I get the feeling I aint one of those people, just like the close friends and I am really thinking of calling her and telling her this and maybe we can reconnect sometime in the far future. I really care about her and want the best for her and this kills me. She calls me her friend but I don't consider her one anymore, we don't do anything but have been through a lot together (more then what I wrote too).
This really helped me today. My parents are going to Utah today and I have to spend 3 days with my cousins while they're gone... I was really stressed about it. Me and my cousin's friendship is really hard.. Thank you for this video.
