@@LiquidErf thanks for the reply. Getting the gimbal/phone to sweep along just above a long bed of flowers seems to be impossible for me to pull off without it moving where I don't want it to.
@@paulsimpson6899 so there’s two options - 1, side mode - turn the gimbal 90 degrees counter clockwise. Then if needed double click the trigger to recentre. Use the joystick to set the angle. 2, Underslung mode, turn the whole gimbal 180 degrees and the phone will flip around. Then walk along with the gimbal upside down. For both options either use follow mode or tilt locked.
Great video thanks. My OM4 arrived yesterday so just looking how to use it first! I'm wanting to get an external microphone for it and wondered what you would recommend and how to attach it to the gimbal? Unless you have any videos on it.
Hi and thanks Steven, my recommendation is the Rode Micro, there’s a link in my videos. And yes I do have a video on attaching a microphone - go to my playlists and choose the gimbal one, you’ll see how to attach a light and microphone there
Thank you for the videos. How is using the OM camera app vs using native iPhone camera app? Worried of loosing the iPhone native app computational photography processing?
Mimo is pretty good, as explained in the last message the iPhone app definitely has the edge but it doesn’t put me off using the Mimo app. You can just choose the video mode in Mimo then switch to iPhone app and it will retain those settings.
Great wee video. Some great tips. I'm a complete newbie to gimbals and bought the OM4 after a bit of research. Admit I'm struggling with it a wee bit. The Tilt locked functions appears not to work! Anyhoo, love the crane shot idea - is this achieved in the Follow mode?
Yes follow mode or tilt locked mode. With tilt locked the camera moves from side to side but doesn't tilt up and down, as long as you put it on that mode in settings it should work. See my other videos for more in depth tutorials on all the video modes. thanks
@@LiquidErf Thanks, appreciate the response. Yeah, have watched your vids - excellent. It's just not working for me, no matter how many times I try! Frustrating.
@@alanfindlayviewfromtherock6200 is your phone android, and is it one supported by the om4. They have a list on the website, I know that some functions are problematic on unsupported phones. Does pressing and holding the trigger keep the gimbal locked?
Hello, am really having a problem with my OM4 - I could not lock the smartphone, it keeps on rotating when I walk or move... I have gone over the tutorials already...
