The Jesus prayer is a great prayer to "pray without ceasing". It is repeated multiple times until it reaches the depths of the soul, and over time you may find yourself repeating it in your mind throughout the day without realizing it! Even reciting it just a few times daily is very helpful. The prayer is this "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner".
Daniel, Saint John Mary, Baptist Vianney said, that the most powerful prayer against attacks of an evil nature is the prayer of the Rosary. Only by practicing this prayer with faith, you will be able to convince yourself of the authenticity of St. Vianney's statement. In our Greek Catholic Church, we have a devotion very close to the prayer of the Rosary, which was also deeply appreciated by Saint Pope John Paul II. It is called the Annunciation Akathist of the Blessed Mother of God.
I'm a Catholic Father. Our children ages; 9, 6 & 4 all boys. Constantly remind us to pray, pray the rosary, pray before meal, when going outside, etc. And look forward to mass every Sunday, coz they surely know it is arcade time or something = exciting, afterwards. All praises to God, we're already reaping as early as now.
Thank you, sir. I wish someone had said this to me 30 years ago. One thing I do when I say the rosary is to quickly review the appropriate mystery in my head and relate it to a need of today. For example, if the mystery is "The agony in the garden," then I add something about Ukraine having their agony in the garden and asking for peace. Or, if the mystery is "The Visitation," I ask that "Mary, as you were pregnant and went to your cousin, pregnant with St John the Baptist, let this be an anti-abortion allegory for today." This technique just seems to more focus my prayers and ground me to today's needs. God bless!
It’s so useful to meditate on the Mysteries and to pair them to things happening now. I always ask Our Lady to help me see something new each time. I’ll have to make a video on that.
As adopted children of God in christ by baptism, we're priests, prophets & kings. Priest= Giving God His due honor; representing Him in our midst & offering Him back what He has given us. As priests, we lead our families in proper worship of God, etc... Prophet= Proclaim Him & His gospel to those around us, evangelize, catechize & defend the faith, the truth & God's honor (apologetics). King= Be good administrators of all of God's gifts, laws (10 Commandments, sacraments, precepts & sacred traditions, etc). As kings, we are to serve our familiess & others by leading them to the promised land (Heaven).
Really helpful tips. Fasting is not something I’m doing outside Lent but I totally want to implement it now. I like Wednesdays and Fridays since it’s both traditional and also very manageable/easy to build a habit in
I would add this: Learn Latin, the language of the Church, and/or a Biblical language (Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic). Learning these languages has helped strengthen my faith as a Catholic, and my love for Christ and His Church!
Thanks for the tips. One that MUST be part of the 5 is daily reading of scripture. As St. Jerome stated, "Ignorance of the scripture is ignorance of Christ." I have found that we are not often encouraged to read scripture. There is not better way to get to know Jesus and be His disciple.
I support this, and I hope you can also create a version for Hebrew Catholic men in particular. I know this already applies to HC men, but you could also be more specific when addressing HC men. Remain guided by the Holy Spirit in your mission. Thanks!
Amen!! Build up our men to want to be manly because the culture is tearing them down into wussies. I love this video. Very true and true for us women too, but true especially for men in this day and age.
Great video! Thanks I would like to suggest a discipline of saving, men works so hard but don't have a financial plans. If you know please teach others God bless you all. 🙏🏼🙏🏼💜 Happy Easter 2023 .
My husband and I got married in the Catholic Church. All 4 of our kids have been baptized in the Catholic Church. He is Protestant but is starting to follow Hebrew Roots movement and they have a lot of bad things to say about Catholics. He wants to follow Torah, and thinks the pope is the antichrist. This is hurting our marriage. Any advice will help. Thank you
Place this matter in the hands of Our Lady, the Queen of Israel. Next, watch my content, most especially the playlist called “ESSENTIALS”. Get familiar with it and see why only Catholicism is true. If he ever wants to talk, I’m down for a conversation.
Lord, have mercy and bring this man out of the Hebrew Roots movement. But he recognized the truth, and give himself wholeheartedly to obey it. Strengthen this woman and her trial, and give her courage and comfort as she faces the challenge of her husband entertaining falsehood. Amen.
I really appreciate this video. I’m soon to receive my first sacraments at the upcoming Easter Vigil, but all of these things are something that the Holy Spirit has MOVED ME TO DO ANYWAY…. I’m a 28YO Single Man.
could you react about a lightning that strucked the Christ the Redeemer after days Brazilians making a parade for demons, lucifer huge statue, and Jesus is being mocked infront of thousands of Brazilians?
Working out can also be growing ur own food and live stock, building/ making things urself instead of buying globalistic crap, staying in nature, and don't live a lifestyle that benefits companies that are an enemie to the Catholic faith
Is working out really helping to overcome temptation and be disciplined or does it strengthen the flesh and focus overly on the physical? I believe it can be both and is not such an easy or helpful advice.
I get it you are a faithful Catholic. But its absolutely appalling that daily reading of Scripture isn't one of the non negotiables. 'This my beloved Son. LISTEN to him'
@Mark V that's very little. And liturgy main purpose is worship not to catechise. Personal reading and reflection of Scripture is crucial for intimacy with God.
Hey there! I hope the Almighty blesses you greatly. Join me on Instagram as I post there on my stories to encourage daily study of Scripture. We also talk about the ancient roots of the Faith to get even more out of Scripture. Shalom :)
