I am fascinated with the extreme equipment built by Russians, and have much respect for their brilliant engineers, designers, and craftsmen and women. I am a US citizen by birth, and I wish that people of US and Russia will work together to solve problems, instead of the governments talking about war. Together, and with all other nations, almost any problem could be solved.

If you think an icebreaker like these would survive a collision with a giant iceberg, you're wrong.

The CCGS Terry Fox was working with the CCGS Louis St. Laurent, also an ice breaker. All that spray at the bow is a water/air jet system designed to keep ice from freezing against the hull.
