Here are 5 effective tips that can get you prepared for your next live bass performance.
They are very simple concepts in theory, but when applied consistently to your rehearsal routine - they will give you confidence, comfort and a sense of preparedness that will make live shows less stressful.
I love playing bass, and I love performing live but I do get very anxious leading up to the shows I am playing and I needed to find a way to help myself stay calm.
By conditioning yourself both mentally and physically you can go into that next show already knowing what you need to do in any situation that might pop up on stage.
It is always a work in progress but with more repetition and experience you will get better at this process. Practicing smarter is important!!
Feeling your best while you are up there on stage can be easily overlooked - but I can assure you it is the most important part. People in the audience feel what you feel when you are playing. If you are nervous they will feel nervous - if you are comfortable and cool af - they will feel cool af.
I hope these ideas help you take that next step in your bass journey - please let me know if you enjoy this content, I go back and forth every day deciding if I should make more and I would love to find the right audience who finds this information helpful.
Thanks, hope you have a great day and good luck at your next show!
