Hi there. Steve here. I learned five guitar riffs from the awesome Animals album by the band TTNG. I had a lot of fun learning these, and it took me almost three weeks to do so! I couldn't play them perfectly but I think this is the best as I could get them with my current skill. Thanks for watching!

Not to mention, the way it's notated in the tabs, you have to keep separate fret numbers in your head, depending on where the capo(s) is(are) for those set of strings. Just constructing that sentence was difficult.

Try starting with partial capo. Eg capo forth fret in standard tuning but not the low E string. Play and open "c" chord but also play the lowest string. You get a thick chord with the lower end but if you start barring, it's still in the same tuning You can then start messing with the tuning your using etcetera :)

Steve........................So I am 63 yr old guy in UK....played rock back in the day.....got into electronic music..always noodling around on guitar...still am............had not heard any Math Rock or EMO stuff.. till I stumbled on to your channel via Plini somehow oh yeah and Covet. Never hear any if that stuff on mainstream broadcasts over here......wonder why?

I couldn't think of a TTNG riff that isn't nigh impossible. Recently learned 26 is Dancier than 4 and it is insane.

@@vexedpixels If you can't play fingerstyle. If you can its pretty run of the mill in terms of difficulty, a pretty slow sliding riff up the fretboard in the beginning and then a fairly slow arpeggio in the second half

I recently rediscovered Animals, arguably one of my favourite album of all time, and I opmistically went to search for a video demonstrating them being played for a rough idea on what techniques are being used etc. And I should have known you would pop up. I can barely manage crocodile and I can't think of another ttng song that's even close to beeing as easy as that one. (Well, the ending of Whatever, Whenever on bass is possible)

Man I remember when I was learning Chinchilla I practiced for about 4 hours nonstop to learn the whole thing. My right hand got huge blisters because I rarely did finger style

Hey, this song is actually not THAT hard (but It is indeed complicated for us merely humans). You should try to learn It yourself! I have a lot of fun playing this. It's a great introduction when It comes to learn ttng songs :)
