INFJ Life Coach Lesson: Today, let's dive into the five INFJ quirks that drive others absolutely bonkers. Knowing what annoys people can help us decide if it's worth embracing our true selves or toning it down. We often find ourselves in tricky situations, questioning whether we should act a certain way or risk making others uncomfortable. But once we identify behaviors that truly irk others, we can confidently say, "I don't care, I'll still do it!" or maybe reconsider our actions.

I can predict the future, smell emotions and shoot narcissists straight through the heart. I, essentially, live alone. I observe. If people wish to challenge me, go for it, my axe has been grinded into the hilt.

Lack of interest or involvement. It bothers typicals that I don't need constant entertainment, approval from others or even their company, which is quite funny. I've learned it's best to be a different person and dim my light around pretty much everybody as to not offend.

@@7goldglamour777 yes, its incredible how entitled alot of these people are, and how the power balance can quickly shift into a one sided situationship/ “friendship”, they wont give half of the same consideration and energy we do yet demand it from us and when we pull back into our power they refuse to engage at all on our “terms” so its “their way or the highway” and they always know best..CHILDREN IN ADULT BODIES WANTING EVERYTHING TO GO THEIR WAY IN EVERY INSTANCE OF THE INTERACTION. they then have no shame to try and guilt, shame, and play victim and also weaponize their emotions and taking advantage of our empathy of caring about making them feel comfortable. it’s exhausting. alot of these people are programmed bots, empty vessels, imitations of imitations, carbon copy clones, vanilla basic beings with egos, who leech off of our energy and put up false fronts to lure us in with deception to use,abuse and make themselves feel better all while covertly in the back of their mind we are a conditional “friend” to them that can make them feel better about themselves and will eventually be discarded when we become inconvenient to them. WHERE ARE THESE PEOPLE WHEN WE ARE BURNT OUT AND NEED HELP? excuses, no accountability, emotionally weak, selfish hedonists. peoples are a disappointment in a nutshell in MANY ways.

About 2 years ago. I was waiting in a line, I think, at the cable Co. I was next, and a woman walked in, then passed me right to the front of the line. As she passed me, I said calmly "your cutting the entire line". She spent a minute asking questions or so at the booth. When she was leaving, she passed me she and said, "I don't have time to wait in the line" something like that. Then I said calmly, sarcastically, "I know because you're better than everyone else." She paused, slightly gasped, stopped what she was going to say, and walked out. Sometimes, I can't hold back.

Playing along with the hierarchy is not a 'social rule.' It's obeying the pecking order. Social rules are things like common courtesy, taking conversational turns, listening, reading the room, showing up on time, leaving when the host is tired. INFJs are GREAT at observing social rules. People at the top of pecking orders are the ones who often break them.

I think it is more about how people behave in different situation. It is not about just hierarchy but a general social norm that people follow. And it scales from just a small group up to the whole company, city, country. 🤔🤔

You can also find people who play by “the rules”, help you play by “the rules,” and still want you to be yourself at the same time There are positive hierarchies with empowering rules. Hierarchies that are ruled by bullying tend to be toxic, hierarchies fueled by creativity can be empowering to everyone.

Seems to me that it is more situational than strictly defined. After a 31 year marriage to a Covert Narcissist, and truly believing in my vows, my part....I came to a hard reality check in my life. Finding myself OUT, because I would no longer keep his lies and controls in place, I had to hold down 3 jobs. Yes it was hard, but worth it to me because I finally had peace. Healing came. Validation came. Boundaries were in place and it felt freeing to be who I truly was. Working that hard was a choice I made, and it was for a season. It was more of a "rallying" to do what was necessary, than of defining the role of a "workaholic." Once it was no longer necessary, I let it go.

Do you know of a good resource that talks about integrating shadow functions?
@infjthoughts8861
@infjthoughts8861 10 месяцев назад
@@branver1172 hmmm not like officially. Just look up your inferior, or fourth function, and then look up your POLR, or 7th functions. Those two functions will hold the most information on what someone is “missing.” Normally people conceptualize those two functions as evil and equate them with examples of bad outcomes in the world around them. You have to do some digging on how you can integrate the positive benefits of checking in with the 4th and 7th functions in consistent, routine, and subtle ways.

Excellent video Wenzes! 🙂🌹❤️👍🏼 Unfortunately, I can relate to this one all too well, just like all the other videos. It’s made dating almost completely nonexistent. 🙁 The only girl I’ve ever really dated/talked to for any extended period was also genuinely into me, was also an INFJ. But due to religious differences, she chose to break it off and date other people, but wants to remain friends. I hate that crap… Like, I finally meet someone interested in me and wants to be with me, but now you suddenly don’t want to, and expect me to no longer have feelings for you, and be happy and smiling and friendly, while I see you happy with another guy? 🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼

I feel you! As an INFJ and a Theistic Satanist, the difference in beliefs tends to crush a budding romance quickly. The only advice I have is, take the small connections as an oasis of sorts. You have a different trail to blaze and the path you are in comes before any relationship. Creating worlds is a lonely job.
@elizaveta2407
@elizaveta2407 10 месяцев назад
Oh, that's a bummer, sorry about that! Actually I've recently been in the similar situation and you know, I figured that if a person offers to stay friends, they might be narcissistic, so in this case I go no contact right away whether this person is INFJ or not. Usually they come up with excuses like different religion, personality, nationality, eye color or whatever. Healthy people don't befriend their exes imo.
@jerrimenard3092
@jerrimenard3092 10 месяцев назад
This helps a lot. I have started to implement some of the advice on the INFJ videos and the results have been great. I have focused on myself and my individual needs more then I ever have. It's very transformative. The isolation thing is strange for me. I like to be at events where I am learning about arcane or hidden topics. So lectures or spooky things atract me. Now, if I have to hear mundane garbage or surface BS, I can't leave fast enough. I have a bit of a Willie Wonkaesq mentality. When I am creating, the gates of my factory of imagination don't open. Nobody goes in or out. When I want to explore, I just take off. I go see for myself. I am not a hermit, just a deep thinker and a tinker with words. For that, I only need myself and that universal current of chaos.

Enjoyed this one immensely. We are very attuned to other's feelings about myriad other things but are sometimes blind to what they are perceiving about us. Its good to have a checklist of the actual behaviors that turn others off about us. Not so that we have to change who we are but so that we can better understand why certain relationships are non starters or why they fizzle. Its not usually because of something superficial like our appearance but more than likely one of those five behaviors that Wenzes listed.

Recognize everything here and even got a professional opinion on my strong head lol. Met a bit older woman on the streets who was natural like me and we got connected and i thought i never see her again but a month later i bumbed into her on a street again and she recognized me when i said Hello . We had a fast conversation and i gave my phone number and thought she would call but think she maybe got more scared instead lol . She seemed intelligent and a good conversation and i don't mix with people for a reason like we all ,so it was kind of sad when this never happens . But maybe i meet a other intelligent woman someday who don't get scared or whatever . Happy to have that strong head anyway lol

First time watching you on RU-vid. I took the MBTI assessment questionnaire a couple of years ago when I was 68 years old. INFJ While reading the analysis I burst out laughing so many times because it was spot on. 😂 Out of 12 traits I checked off 9 or 10 boxes. So, spot on. I kept on saying in my head, "that explains why I'm so weird." I love knowing who I am and I embrace it. When I'm asked to go out for after-work entertainment or drinks, I've learned to say, "I have other plans this evening." Even though it's late in my life, it's liberating to know who you are and to embrace it. Thank you for sharing your insights.

Can you please make a video about the INFJ approach to fame? ❤ Let's say an INFJ is working on a project with global attention and the thought of the attention it will bring is both nerve wracking and happily anticipated, but the thought of that much attention, and being in the public eye is not a positive thought. Weird and difficult to express.
@johnkeller5163
@johnkeller5163 10 месяцев назад
Billy Corgan is an INFJ as the leader of the Smashing Pumpkins and is a good case in point. INFJ types eventually come to fame by insisting on being authentically unique and let the cards fall naturally. Fame is part of the exposure from exploring real meaningful art or works. Never chase nor worry about fame as a goal.
@Nicole-rg8ds
@Nicole-rg8ds 10 месяцев назад
@@johnkeller5163 Thanks for your perspective on this. I've always been careful about sharing my opinions, usually keeping them within my close circle. It's mainly because I've had mixed reactions when I've voiced my thoughts. So, putting my ideas and creative work out there on a public platform was a huge step for me. I remember the moment when I finally decided to just let go and be genuine, regardless of how it might be received. It was both surprising and humbling to see that my authenticity was well-received. That was sort of my way of saying, "This is me, take it or leave it." It's funny how sometimes the things we're most anxious about can turn out to be the most rewarding. As my work gains more attention, I find myself facing a different kind of anxiety - the idea of stepping into the spotlight. I often wonder how other INFJs handle being in the public eye. Your response sheds some light on that, and I appreciate it. By the way, your mention of Billy Corgan as an INFJ and how they find fame by staying true to themselves resonates a lot. The idea that fame is a byproduct of authentic and meaningful expression makes a lot of sense. It's a reminder not to chase after fame as a goal, but to focus on what truly matters. Thanks again for your thoughts. It's nice to connect and have these conversations. Your insights are really valuable.🥰

As an INFJ and an open mic artist, that's a topic I'd be interested in. For myself, I love sharing my art with the world, but it can be difficult when I encounter people who I can tell are faking. And, it's true, I don't like attention. I do enjoy performing my comedy, but afterwards, I just want to hang out with friends and be supportive of my fellow artists.

Exactly very accurately clarified and the correct Tone which also diminishes the false assumption we would feel superior to others, but exactly it is like you say and i always say that we all have our strengths and potential flaws/ less developed strengths / weaknesses and so do others. That is why it is an asset and not a default that there is so much diversity on the planet. I have recently figured out MBTI and the test says I'm an INFJ afterwards I searched about it and here I am stumbled in this video, now I can understand why in my early days I often got misunderstood by my parents and everybody around me by doing what I think is fun. I often wander around the woods and observe the surroundings and because of that I get scolded or get beat up by my parents, I often do not respect my parent's uneccesary strict rules and I really despite when I felt manipulated by others. The fact that I found my parents very manipulative is because they set standards to myself often comparing me to other sons/daughter's achievement. Now I can understand why being an INFJ is so exhausting because I realized the world is very manipulative 😢 so I think as INFJ our best strength is our independence, seeking attentions and validation is a big mistake, we should connect more with our selves, do what is necessary to do and be more attentive on the manipulation of your surroundings, trust me we are not wrong it's just the world want's us to put in a box and be their puppets. We are the Lone Wolves of society, the escapees of the matrix. I felt bad for some comments saying they felt bad for being INFJ. Don't feel bad for yourselves. "I say stop being perfect, let's evolve, let the chips fall where they may".

I am a writer so the constant silent moments must be respected in a relationship. I was in relationships with people who were very abusive of my emotions. I observed what wasn't working in the relationships: it was them! Because I felt sorry for their shortcomings, they used that to their advantage to hurt me and to make them feel some perceived power. But the actual power was always in my hands and I left! I love you, Wenzes!!!! You help so many people.

Wenzec: You keep on saying "people"--when you are describing sensing behavior...like going along with hierarchy. Being blind to hierchycal structures is an intuitive trait. Going along with it is a sensing trait. If you are going to continue to develop value for intuitives trying to survive and flourish in a sensory dominated world, wouldn't it make sense to tach you audience to recognize the differences between sensing types and intuitive types? Because then they could start grayrocking the sensors--generally--not always...and by learning to idenetify sensors/censurers/censors they can generally lear to ab=void them. All most sensors can do with respect to us, Wenzec--is apply thier particular brand of group think. They cannot step away from the group to assert themselves. You walk right up to the line--but by refusing to idenetify sensing types as our general problem--the situattion remains muddy. I take that back. Sensors are not the problem--our trust in sensing types is the problem. Whenever you elucidate a problem for intuitives and you say"people"...I translate for myself: sensors.

yes, they will ultimately gaslight us and not give us the respect and recognition for who we are and they feel extempt from any sort of remorse for their shallow judgments because majority rules and group thought might is right mentality is the gospel to these small minded minions who dont care if you live or die at the end of the day as long as they are getting their sensual pleasures met lol. bottom line is sensors are so disrespectful in countless ways because they can be lol

Forgive me if this comes out too strong for you. You want her to teach INFJs to run before they walk. You presume being an INFJ makes people proficient in MBTI and how each stack of personality types works. There are other creators who cater to that niche. The audience here is her forte, and it will mature with time.

@@illiterate_reader we live in a sensor dominated world, in which sensors ultimately push out people that are different from themselves that actually see things more perceptively clearly in ways and they can learn from us but dont have the depth and abilities or want and desire to want and change themselves or awareness so they scapegoat people like us ultimately resulting in a delusional cycle of insanity repeating from generation to generation the same toxic behavior and ideological mentality and thoughts resulting in their own delusional hypocritical narcissistic demise on a collective level. in a nutshell sensors lack self awareness and don’t understand themselves nor objectively the human condition and are blinded by their own cognitive dissonance surrounded by their ego so they never see that they are too blame for alot of their own problems. they are so similar in so many ways but refuse to or dont know how to look in the mirror and self reflect nor do they have the courage to be different and go against the grain and the herd because of deep rooted primitive tribal survival mentality, i could go on and further break things down but you get the gist of what im saying.

@@1594simonsays you are projecting your anger on wrong person. I did not contradict his point. Take off your "Ego glasses" and read again. She is speaking in a language her audience understands. For more advanced users, there are other creators. Everyone has a preference about how they learn and where they stand.

Thanks for the video. I am really enlightened about #3. I always recognize these social rules but I never thought about the reason behind it. My instinct always tell me to not do the same 😂 and just do whatever works for me. I also like #4. It is veeeerrry hard in the beginning to acknowledge what I really want, there are so many hesitations but once I did it it feels very valuable, natural and I feel more connected with myself 🤍

For me I realize my intensity focuses mainly on positive intentions and simple honesty which I finally accepted as their issue, not mine. Btw, this old guy living his dream and still crushing. Haha. All good, it's just that you are way more than physically attractive. Maybe I'll admit I'm a big fan as a fact. Cheers. Thanks for sharing your depth of understanding that I am just beginning to discover and really am living a wonderful life with people like you. 🫵🫶👍🍺🥇
