I live in Inglewood (not for too much longer). All those school closures are where developers are putting up luxury homes and apartments. Inglewood has totally been sold out. It's a shame.
In Denver they didn't have money for schools, and citizens cant afford kids, so they purchased 40,000 immigrants with tax dollars so now more taxes have to keep the schools open. It sucks to work hard to stay afloat, & then your resources just go to someone else who wouldn't do the same, i.e. use birth control.
These people multiply like rabbits. It's not fair to feed, clothe and house illegal immigrants. Invest in neighborhood children's schools and small class size. The children need individual attention and will not get it in a class of 30 to 40 children per classroom. We need to get that on the ballot.
It's disgusting what's going on California is destroyed same things going on here in Chicago and they're going directly to our black neighborhoods okay they are making our black community so angry😢😢😢😢😢 they have no right to shut down our schools for our children that's terrible😢😢😢😢😢😢
The purpose of starting kindergarten in Germany was to manipulate mothers into going to work. It doesn’t take all day to become educated. Long periods of studying are actually counter-productive. I doubt rich people and royalty with private tutors are studying from 8-3 M-F.
@@backalleyburrito1815you obviously live in a city... Get out of concrete jungle It's literally cheaper to live day to day that way. Just a bit scary to make the push
@@genxx2724 Just like the homeless nonprofits pulling in billions of taxpayer dollars with no progress. Anything you feed into CA's government is lost. The guy who was the lead legislator for the fast food $20 law can't even explain how the bread exemption got in there. Governor wants to dismiss it as NDA but you could have a foreign entity writing CA law and nobody could audit the process with the sham system we have now. Notice no update on the $33 Billion stolen EDD funds. Julie Su was appointed by Biden as our Labor secretary for her wonderful work. Instead of prison she got a promotion. It's futile.
In another 5 to 7 years, Inglewood will look like Echo Park, Highland Park, or Silverlake. Nothing but skinny jeans and V-neck shirt wearing trust fund hipsters driving electric cars throwing back $8 lattes.
It is probably because many parents are turning to home schooling since public schools are a complete failure. They keep turning out dumber and dumber kids and teaching BS social justice crap, kids need to learn the basics and these schools are failing to do that.
That’s because the people who live in Inglewood are selling the shack that they live in for the better part of $1 million and moving to dirt world, also known as the inland Empire, and buying a house there for a few hundred thousand dollars less. A much nicer house by the way.
Where are tax dollars from the shiny new stadium and arena???! Real estate tax dollars are supposed to fund schools, infrastructure and parks. wtf. I get that attendance ( truancy) is low but that’s not because there’s a lack of kids. It the extremely high rate of truancy.
3 T-Ks, 1 Jr High, and 1 High School. School attendance numbers are cyclical. The schools have been in a downward trend for a few years. The effects start at the bottom and work their way through the system. This move isn't a surprise to anyone paying attention.
@@copyprint-fz2hbThere are different subcategories for migrants, both with their separate pros and cons for a country's economy But that's still ignoring that there are children under those families that are impacted greater by this discussions implication (citizens or even not)
If you close schools to save money, you have to spend money to open prisons. This is exactly what the jerkoffs did to Oakland, just rename the city Oaklandwood😢
People are having less children over the years and they're also moving out of the area, its expensive now or sending kids to charter schools and finding different educational programs for their children imo covid really made many parents aware of what the public schools system is really about and it's not education I used to work for LBUSD over the years SO much funding has been cut to the schools and they offer nothing not even a decent lunch for the kids meanwhile the administrators continue to get pay increases it's sad
@@stevesmith756 majority of the state budget goes to schools?? No that's not true maybe in the past but not anymore.. the majority of the money goes to the schools district administrators
you people who connect everything to politics are brain dead. People don't vote for this nonsense anymore than you voted to send Ukraine another 60 billion. You can't be that dense
Morning side is a dump anyway. Black kids acting like they rappers, causing reckless behavior, disrupting class, causing fights, bullying. All while maintaining a low attendance. For anyone that knows....knows. So is anyone really losing? If the schools closes? Parents just want a baby sitter for a couple of hours. If the kids act this way you already know the parents need thier mornings for that early morning blunt or wake and crack on the crack pipe, or maybe do a line or two. Nothing wrong with home school, but then again the kids would be home.
Just a wild guess but I imagine those with money know the value of themselves and their education and don't misbehave in quite the same ways as those from lower wealth communities. The parents probably also help financially to take care of school expenses.
Residents need to file a class action lawsuit. The stadiums never underwent an environmental impact study. We are now seeing the results. You can’t even leave your home during games or concerts.
If they need to close down schools to allow more resources to the other schools, sure. But dont let them sell that land and develop it. Keep that land with the hopes of turning them back into schools at a later date.
morning side it’s a nasty school u see kids always throw things on the floor, u literally see teens jumping the fence like everyday, that school have no control! Let’s be honest CHANGE IS ALWAYS GOOD

@@sardonumspa8113 Thank you for proving my point. Most teachers are not going around spreading woke BS(if there's any subject where it would, it would be in English class) but any other subject, teachers got material to cover. Of course you would have to be in the classroom or be involved in your kid's education to know that instead of watching a few videos showing woke teachers and coming to the conclusion that most teachers are like that. Quit using the few woke teachers as an excuse to not be involved in your kid's education.
@@smpiano6605 The folks who are pushing that agenda look like YOU! What point of yours did I prove by exposing the fact that you guys are telling kids they can be whatever they want a boy or a girl??? Nobody putting in work and having children…. Like it or not, no society can progress without babies 😂. Also got to raise kids too, can’t just make them
I believe that besides the gay thing that is largely based on finances and the cost of living barely able to support an individual, they can't plan ahead because their trying to hard to just survive themselves.
@@The_Quaalude Ok, well- you've made some mighty incorrect comments regarding homeschooling, and that's what I'm touching on. Where there is a will, there is a way. That said, why would you try to insult folks who can afford private schooling? "MuSt Be NiCe"....to be so blissfully unaware of the options parents have to the point of talking crap. If you don't know, ask questions. Otherwise, have a seat and do some self-research.
Raising kids takes more then just schools, it all about YOU as the parent to instill discipline into them. Sadly what we see is out of control youngsters whose only option is to conscript them into the military.
The school districts need to invest in neighborhood schools. Children should not have to be bused to other cities to get an education. It's all about the buck and children are being swept aside. They are the future. You all have it backwards.
School to prison pipeline. Then CA wants to give that money to folks who just “Appears” out of thin air from down south & are not citizens? Think about that….
the other school in that hood is about to get crazy most 2 high school cities in SoCal wouldn’t be able to handle this I doubt this is gonna be any different.
What did people expect when they built the stadium for the Rams? Houses in Inglewood have now approached the level of houses in Redondo Beach. It is extremely expensive to live there now and so you’re not gonna have as many children going to school.
This is the root cause of the problem. People in Inglewood are selling the shitty 60 and 70 year old houses that they live in for somewhere in between seven and $800,000 on average. They are selling them to people who either have no children or just one or maybe even two. They are taking that $800,000 and moving to shit hole like Moreno Valley and Hisperia or they can buy a house for a few hundred thousand dollars less.
Are there that many people moving out of Inglewood? 10 years ago people flocked there after the stadium was built. It seems stadiums aren't what they're sold to be.
The Mexicans force the blacks out years ago and population was booming because Mexicans reproduce at an astonishing rate. Then the Mexicans realize that they could sell the shacks that they live in for close to $1 million and move out to the inland Empire and purchased a much nicer house for a few hundred thousand dollars less. That’s why there are so many less children in Inglewood.
Yes. They sell their shanty houses to people who either do not want or do not have kids. Even if the do, it’s one or two and not 5 or 6 like a typical Mexican has.
Monroe, woodworth and Morningside have been there for years and the superintendent doesn't care for the children. Due to the dumb stadiums that they are building they must of offered him money to close those schools down. This is when parents should get together and stop him. I'm a parent n I graduated from Morningside best High School. Needs to stay open these kids need their education they need to look at that not numbers
Lived in Inglewood for most of my pre-middle age years. They couldn't close these schools down fast enough, lol! The only way you were gonna make it out of those glorified daycare centers for unwanted pregnancies was if you had athletic talent...or could "rap". Lived right between Morningside and Worthington as a matter of fact. City can turn them into additional parking space and strip malls for Ballmer's new Clipper arena in that neighborhood for all I care, ANYTHING to continue boosting the property value of my old family home in that area for the eventual resale... 😊💰🎇💰👏
I agree & you are probably one of those well fair babies! Time to cut the fee hand outs (unless you were married) and put severe limits on the for profit family courts!
Trading education for uneeded weapons systems and the other traditional cash incinerators. Oh look, the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels fly over. 🎉🎉🎉 Life is wonderful and butter is 7 dollars a pound.
Fewer students means much less need for classrooms cafeterias gym’s auditoriums And it will save huge amounts of money for administrators. 5 less principals 10 or 12 less vice principals less librarians security guards clerks janitors cafeteria workers. Why keep a school built for 800 kids open when it has only 500 kids?? Reason there are fewer kids in Inglewood and many other Los Angeles county towns is fewer kids. Because housing prices are so high.
Wow!!! My kids used to go to hudnall Elementary. They no longer go there now, but they used to attend there, my son and my daughter. I guess it’s bye-bye hudnall Elementary, I’m not sure what they’re gonna do with that school. But my Children’s father did tell me about this. So no more hudnall elementary. Gets us bye-bye teachers too and principal. Not that I had the best time with my kids in that school. Personally I feel they gave me hell so maybe it’s good that school is closing. My kids are now attending a much better school anyway. 3:21
