Hey Julia! My son recently told me I make an awful lot of pasta meals as he was devouring his supper and a container to take to work for his lunch the next day. I asked him if he was complaining, and he said no, just wondering if you realized that! Lol! Now the real complaining is when I take a break from cooking one night and they have to fend for themselves. Have you ever heard 3 hungry grown men groan and complain at the same time? Believe me, they don't mind eating pasta and beans a couple times a week as long as you give them a hot meal! Lol! Thank you Julia for ALL the wonderful and delicious recipes you give us every week! My 13 yr old daughter was complaining that we always eat the same things, so I took to youtube to find recipes to try. Julia's are definitely a go-to for us. Love her, and all she does for us. ❤

I don't always have time to cook and don't like to mess up the kitchen for just 2 of us. We tried meal kits and they just weren't how we eat. So I decided to make my own. For example I made a freezer meal with your crispy quesadilla recipe. The flour tortillas went in one zipper bag, the cheese in another, the meat, seasonings, beans and corn in another. The bags had the air squeezed out and then put in a gallon bag in the freezer, the bags were flat to make them stack easilly. It worked out great. I made 10 meals in one day, cleaned up the kitchen. The next day I worked on chicken meals

I made the Mexican Quinoa from the cookbook and everyone loved it. It’s now in our dinner rotation. My daughter made the One-Pot Turkey Pasta - also delicious and very easy to make.

That Mexican Quinoa recipe is SO good!! And the leftovers reheat beautifully for lunches. Last time I made it, I had dinner and then 4 lunches for myself. Each day I garnished it slightly differently. Cheese, sour cream, avocado, lime, tomatoes. I think I'll make this again today! I will finish eating the leftovers of Julia's Lasagna Skillet One Pot from the cookbook today. That recipe is also awesome! I subbed lean ground beef for Italian sausage because that's what I had but I bet it will be even more delicious when I make it next time with sausage.

I have not tried one pot meals using pasta. I think I need to just jump in and trust it since all your recipes are great. I break spaghetti 3 times so it is easier to eat. Thank you for sharing delicious, easy meals. Have a great week!😊

I plan to make this recipe too. How did it come out? I've never cooked pasta in with all my other ingredients (I'm always afraid it will be too starchy) but I see so many people do it and this recipe really looks good. And it's different than the meals I normally make. I'd love to hear how it came out and if you added anything or tweaked it at all. I'm just not a great cook so I am always looking for advice! Oh and is the Cajun seasoning spicy? I've never tried it before so I'm curious!

I watch you all way from Melbourne, Australia as I like seeing other's ways or making affordable meals or shopping. It's just so utterly and atrociously insane that if I were to buy these kind of exact same ingredients (despite being in different countries with different brands/grocery stores to shop at) this would cost me AT LEAST $100 and barely gets in a week of meals (3-4 days if that)
Oh my goodness, that's awful! Are your food producers and grocers gouging you like they are gouging the US (though you are in a worse position than we are)? They have used the COVID crisis to make more money. 😡

I just wanted to say i truly appreciate you sharing your recipes. When i dont know what to meal plan i search your website online and click "one pot" or "slow cooker" and always find a few awesome ideas. (Also our oven doesnt work right now 😅). We love the lemon chicken/rice, ham & noodle, beefy potato skillet, and i tried 2 of your recipes with zucchini to use them up from my garden. All very tasty! ❤️❤️

Tony's is gold in Louisiana! We use that stuff all the time. I was born there & have lots of family. I use it to tx & tell ppl about it. They end up loving it.

Olive oil spread on the bread is also delicious. I mix the olive oil with garlic (usually minced, sometimes powdered without salt), Italian seasonings, and shredded or grated parmesan cheese. I spread this on halved ciabatta rolls (halving the rolls reveals a texture like English muffins which holds onto the olive oil mixture nicely) and broil in my toaster oven until lightly browned.
