I stopped watching other reviewers because all of them talk about the same fragrances over and over again, you’re different in a good way from the rest, I like that you’re not selling us a fragrance, just honest reviews😉
Another great list! You quickly became my favorite fragrance reviewer on RU-vid based on our similiar fragrance favorites. Much love from Boston my man.
Kalen, You give your opinions and information regarding a fragrance without being vulgar. You do not indulge in sexual references, i.e "panty droppers", Also you do not market specific houses or YOUR FRAGRNACE. Keepin' it clean and honest. WE LOVE IT!!
These are some serious hidden gems my friend. I can honestly say i havent gotten my nose of any of these. My favorite italian frags are d&g pour homme the euroitalia version and acqua di parama colognia intensia. I love those two frags and need to try some of these out. Great content!! -Ramsey
Nailed it with the tennis club ref with sergio tacchini! Throw back to one the most prolific tennis stars of the 90s, Gabriela Sabatini, who was sponsored by his brand. Ive read good reviews about the fragrance, now I’m all in.
Ended up buying a bottle of vintage Denim from the 70's and it is just amazing. Put some on this morning, walked into my bedroom to get a clean short and my wife said she could smell me on the balcony! I need to save some of this juice and compare it to what I find in the stores now. We have another flanker here in Europe called Denim Gold with notes of Lavender, Apple, Juniper, Amber and Suede. I buy 2 100 ml. bottles for 9.95. Denim is a great deal that I will never give up.
Appreciated you review of Italian frags. Will be driving to Ticino in 2 weeks for vacation. Since it sits on the Italian border of Switzerland 🇨🇭 I thought I'd keep my eye out for some of these in the shops. Who knows? I love strong projecting scents. (But not my wife. )
Very well chosen fragrances!!!spot on....These are the real hidden gems!!! I have 3 of them in my collection, sergio soldano black and white, plus the star of the 5 fragrances sergio tacchini for men, which is fantastic, long lasting and most of all classy......Cheers from Greece
Wow what an awesome vid. Chris from Scent Land recently featured Soldano Black in his interview with Dan (Mr Smelly) mentioning how the plastic exterior of the bottle reminded him of the dashboard of a specific vintage Italian car. Really considered getting that Tacchini the instant it came up at a local discounter too. Props on that vintage Trussardi!
I have Annucci...vintage 1989! Bought this from Dillard's department store when I was in High School. I had to wear this one with my polo shirt collar popped and a herringbone chain! It's a great cologne. Definitely brings back some great memories! I have got to try the Sergio Soldano (black). Gotta say, the Italian fragrances are beautiful. I'm glad you tested the Sergio Tachini! Saw this one and wasn't sure about it because the brand is very old school tennis. I had a Sergio Tachini tennis warm up jacket back in the day so I wasn't expecting a fragrance from them when I first saw this one. I think of all Italian fragrances, Gucci Nobile is the most beautiful. I have a half bottle of this discontinued and rare gem. Because the price is steep, I bought a clone of the Gucci Nobile by Alexander de Costa Nobile Royalty for around $25 about 15 years ago to use instead of the Gucci since its too expensive to wear everyday but the price skyrocketed so high that I couldn't get a second back up bottle! I guess that's what happens when a clone gets too much hype! It's been awhile but I'm not even sure Alexander de Costa is still around. Thanks for your reviews! More to add to my growing wish list!
Anucci is so nice and I love my herringbone chain lol. I have Wanted to get a bottle of Gucci Nobile for a while it’s just always so much for like a half full bottle or a 25ml lol I hear it’s somewhat similar to Drakkar noir
Sergio Tacchini is such a sleeper, found it at a local drug store and looked at the reviews. I love it ! Also consider Conino Lamborghini Millennials, rubard and pepper is so creamy and extremely unique !
Lol 3 of these scents got my name :) . The first one reminds me of the bottle of Bijan for Men! . Good choices , away from the mainstream. Sergio Tacchini is really tempting for a blind buy !
Hey. Nice review. I have the 4 Saldanos (black, white, beige & mandarin). When watching this review my scent of the night = Arrogance Uomo (1987). Arrogance (pour) Homme (1982) will arrive soon. 😉
I get Gucci Nobile vibes from Sergio Tacchini. It also has hints of Ricci Club. t's sooo good. And I got it for only $20 CAD. Unbelievable value. Hidden gem.
Anucci I love but have to get a new bottle. I easily used up the last one. And Sergio Soldano Black I also loved but can't find that anymore I used up after the gym. 1970s-80s Italian men's perfumery rocked, the majority of my vintage collections are Italian fragrances ie: Ferre, Trussardi, Versace, Valentino.. etc. You have great style bro and I dig fashion style.. . 👍💯😎
Yeah Anucci is so nice really lasts long too, I got my soldano black on eBay pretty easy for 40$ I think so it’s still available. Thank you for watching and commenting Fernando !
I got the Anucci today and I love it. It's similar to Faconnable, but better. Faconnable was my favorite barbershop fragrance, at least these two are what barbershops smell like to me. I already want a backup bottle because I'm gonna spray hard.
Yes Anucci is so nice I enjoy it and it lasts and lasts! To me less if a barbershop scent more just floral fresh. I did a list on barbershop fragrances
Try Arcipelago Uomo by Acqua dell'Elba if you can. Also an Italian, unknown fragrance. For me, one of the best fresh fragrances and although I have already tested several hundred fragrances, I do not know anything comparable.
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey sweet as! Am a fan of the old school, as well as current frags. Am very disapointed i only started collecting after realising Tsar was discontinued. It's one of those fragsi remember being a "proper" fragrance in my teenage years (90s), unlike Eternity CK (which i still remember fondly). Managed to find one second hand being sold in my area (Sydney, Australia), but that was dumb luck. Dua should revive it!
Other than "Denim", never heard of these! Great video! Waiting for a "70's Disco" edition (Aramis 800, Jovan Sex Appeal, Pierre Cardin, Jovan Andro, etc.). 👍
It’s so good, and so unique too like no other “fresh” style scent has taken the path Trussardi did with that fragrance. Thank you for watching and commenting sir ! The whole trussardi fresh collection photo is on this channels Instagram page to check out
@@Josef_R that’s true, I just doubt the seller saw this video but the more people start to buy it ebay sellers usually raise the prices a bit. Get it though it’s great
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey it’s beautiful isnt it? I have quite a few ADPs and so far the Essenza and Almalfi are my favourites. When i start my new job i will buy loads more from the house 🙂
Not a lot of people talk about Anucci. I've been curious about the Sport version or whatever it's called. Not a lot of info on it (I also went overboard removing the cap for that popping noise when I first got it lol)
That pop noise is funny. The sport version I actually got at the same time as the original, I had a sample of the original before I bought but I blind bought sport along with it. I didn’t care for the sport it smelled like something else I have had years ago, couldn’t think of what it was but I didn’t like it nearly as much as the original. Id pass on it personally but then again it’s so cheap if you really wanted to get it it’s no big deal
Yes, you're spot on about Fendi! It is a beautiful fragrance and it is definitely a powerhouse. That cologne has presence! Doesn't take a lot to do the job!
What's up bro it's great to see you dont see you much but I love these kind of bids and these are some great frags my kind of stuff bro so take care just stopping by peace
I’d suggest Grigio Perla and Touch by La Perla. First is very barbershop and a more modern version of Drakkar Noir. Touch has similarities to JPG’s Le Male. I like them both but GP has a special place because it has more substance. Also, Tino Cosma is a unique one. Very 80s but in a good way. Hardly anything out there mentioned but worth the effort if found. All of these are discontinued as far as I know.
Grigio Perla and Touch I’ve only seen on EBay but they are getting less and less. Tino Cosma is much harder to find because it was discontinued many years ago. I’m fortunate to have the original with the turtle on the bottle. It was reintroduced I believe around 10 years ago in a different style bottle but never tried that newer formulation.
Dude AWESOME finds, I’ll DEF be looking into these. Perfect timing too as I’m looking for something different. Hey u check out polo cologne intense yet? I did at Macy’s ....eh...
All of them are great ! The white soldano is the only one I’m so so on. But I have not tried the new polo but I assumed I’d feel the same on it. How was it ?
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey it’s basically polo dry down with a minty modern twist to it. Fashioned toward a younger audience to bring them in. No heavy tobacco or anything like that
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey a little in the dry down and that’s it. I honestly don’t think it’s THAT BAD. I’ll have to revisit it or pick it up when it hits discounters but it looks like polo rushed it for current modern audiences
Didnt Sergio tachinni make athletic gear? I would think it would smell sporty....I havent heard of these, Balenciaga pour homme is Italian I think, and highly regarded as an old school powerehouse, ive never tried it, and its overpriced now since being discontinued...
Yeah they have a clothing line, lots of track suits which look pretty cool Actually lol, they have that 80’s tennis active vibe with the cologne. I got a sample of balenciaga pour homme, it’s very cinnamon spicy I wasn’t as impressed as id hoped I’d be so I never pulled the trigger on a bottle
I have not tried it yet, I have watched reviews though. I can’t make any judgements really since I haven’t tried it but I know it’s nothing like the classic original which I love. Have you tested it?
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey That's true, sadly. Here they're found in every drugstore, grocery store, supermarket, you name it. The Musk is not muskier at all just greener, and the Black is a terrible clone of Drakkar Noir, the Gold is horrendous, they launch a new flanker every week.
@@manlyscents yeah black is a shitty clone of Drakkar noir, Acqua is a bad clone of cool water. The musk was just a syrupy slight musk bad kouros wanna be to me I didn’t like it at all. I have heard denim 1976 is okay though have not tried it yet
Actually I learned about these fragrances from a friend who gifted me some samples and then I went and purchased the bottles, Chris has a great channel and I have always enjoyed watching his videos but he is not the only one who has tried some of these Italian scents. Thanks for tuning in though Vic !
Hello! Just have watched your fantastic review! 🙂️ I got Mine bottle of Soldano black today and I was bit confused, I expected to much maybe, but then after hour or so I stated to figure out this one. On the bottom of my box it is written that is produced by Fine Fragrance. Do you have the same bottle? Opening is harsh, I would call it, dark lemon, and then some smoke, strange.. It was earlier distributed by Intercosma, now by Fine Fragrance, I hope that they did not change the formula. Best wishes! Vlada
Hello, I also have the fine fragrance version I was unaware that it was made by another company previously. I have heard nothing about the scent being reformulated or anything so I’m sure our bottles have not been changed. The dark lemon smokey green scent is a great description. It reminds me of a more citrus forward one man show or Krizia Uomo. Thank you for watching and commenting Vlad !
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey Thank you! You are a real refreshment in fragrance community, All your video are great, keep up the good work and try Hascish by Veejaga, you will be blown away. Best regards, Vlada.
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey Great news! Chris the Scent Land has just sent me a message that Soldano Black has not changed even the parent company has changed, so let us enjoy! Have a nice day mate!
