Even though the cherry blossom season can get pretty chaotic, there are still plenty of lesser known places to see and enjoy cherry blossoms peacefully in Tokyo.
In this video I shared with you 5 spots you can visit, but honestly cherry blossoms are everywhere in Tokyo during spring so I would really recommend you to just have a little explore around where you are living/staying and you're bound to find some in your neighbourhood!!
You'll see cherry blossoms at parks, schools, lined down a street, along the rivers, etc etc they are literally everywhere so I challenge you to have a little explore near you and tag me on instagram if you find a little hidden gem near you ;)
❐ P L A C E S M E N T I O N E D ❏
⇢ Ikegami Honmonji Temple
⇢ Sakuranamiki Park (Local street lined with sakura)
⇢Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa (Japanese Garden)
⇢Meguro River (Avoid the crowds by getting off at Ikejiri-ohashi Station or Meguro Station)
⇢Kinuta Park
Here are some bonus places for those who read up to here ;)
⇢Senzokuike Park (This is near the 1st & 2nd place I went to as well)
⇢Tamagawa Gas Bridge Green Space (Cherry blossoms along Tamagawa River - nice place to have a stroll, cycle or run too)
⇢Kiba Park
⇢Kinshi Park and Sarue Park (Walking distance apart and you can see sky tree from here)
⇢Motosumiyoshi Station (There is a river right by Motosumiyoshi Station that has more than 150 cherry trees)

The only thing that comes close to experiencing the cherry blossom in Japan, is watching Angela's video, so perfectly done, especially the wonderful cameos of children and birds, thank you so much.

Thank you so much for this video! I've already booked my flights to go see the cherry blossoms in Spring 2023, and this is exactly what I'm looking for as I prefer to avoid the popular tourist spots. I think Sakuramiki Park is the spot I'd be most excited to visit because of the street food, but then again I was supposed to visit the Meguro river (and Taco Fanatico!) back in 2019 so I'll be happy to make up for that missed opportunity.
