Hello guys if you have any questions kindly comment below and share your experience growing up what are some of the things you heard about Nigeria 🇳🇬! Share with us below
Nigerians are fun to be with. I also find that they can be very critical of little things that they find or are done in other countries that they don't do or they don't have in Nigeria. They're shocked at little things. They cannot expect things in other countries to be the same as Nigeria.
Although your channel is educative, I will like to correct you about the religion, there are 3 religions in Nigeria, the traditional religion, christianity and Islam. The first religion is the traditional religion before the coming of Islam and christianity.
He said Isalm ..the other religion which we don't consider to be a religion is Hebrew Israelite. I know for a fact because my husband is there and he is.
I’m a young black woman here in Florida. My grandmama , my mama, and myself took the DNA test and it is so amazing to see 🇳🇬 Nigeria, Benin & Togo, Cameroon, Mali, and Senegal on my report. It makes me so happy to learn, & Ghana on my grandmothers
Our local college has a large amount of exchange students. The Nigerian students came to our church. They are the most respectful, honest, loyal, kind, and their attitudes and faith in God is the strongest I ever met. THEY CHANGED MY LIFE!!! May God bless them as they have blessed me.👐👐👐💞💞💞💞
@@anthonynnaife4544 Yes! I had my DNA tested to find my roots. I was married to a Ghanaian for years and learned a lot about his culture and I love Ghanaian food. Now it’s time to learn more about my roots as a Nigerian.
I love Nigerian people' their culture n tradition. I m a big fan of Afrobeats. I like watching Nigerian movies. They have the best Artists in the world. Oh hw can I forget the food ooo... It's mouth watering, my kids favourite Jollof rice. We eat mostly in Nigerian restaurants. I can't wait to marry a Nigerian by God's grace as I m Indian from Goa state. Heard lots about Nigeria from my church friends n fell in love with 9ja. It's a blessed Country,Can't wait to visit Nigeria soon by God's grace. More love n prayers to Nigerians. Thanks Bro for sharing 🙏
Got my dna results and I found I am proudly 50.9% nigerian over 63% african. I'm making plans to do more research into my ancestry. Wish me luck on this soul searching journey. Peace and love to all.
My niece and i met a Nigerian man in a western Country ,and the Nigerian asked my niece if was from a certain tribe in Nigeria (based on her appearance ).Then i realized that i am certainly rooted in Nigeria.
God bless you bro, we Nigerians love everyone we meet know matter where you come from...one love to you all my beautiful Africa families, much love from 🇮🇹🇳🇬🖤🖤✊🏾
My ancestors may be from Ghana, but my life is steeped in all things Nigerian. Just by working with them I learned pidgin like they speak it. I eat all things Nigerian. I watch all Nollywood movies, lol it is not easy getting away from Naija oooo.
Yoruba are most welcoming people you can ever think of rich culture, rich language, most brilliant among the ethnic group don't believe me make your research ,most civilized, they cut across other country like ,Togo Benin, serialoen ,ivory cost, Cuba, Brazil, trinidad and tobago, argentina, etc they don't throw away their culture and language well mannered ,they are in the southwest region of Nigeria, they in so many field all over the world
It’s the 13 most largest country in Africa After Algeria,Democratic Republic of Congo, Mauritania, Sudan, and Tanzania, but the largest population in Africa. Nigerian every where they go they move with their music, It has the largest Entertainment industry in Africa and the world with Nollywood, and Afrobeats being the main once Nigeria.
Yooo Fam + The man’s right. He saw your angle 📐 and where you was headed. Why are you angry because he told the truth about Nigeria 🇳🇬 being a young country.
Hi, there are three (3) religions in Nigeria, Christianity, Islam and Idol worshipping. As a Nigerian who grew up in Warri, Idol worshipping is a huge part of the culture and is greatly celebrated and respected just as Christianity and Islam. Thank you :)
It's not "idol worshiping" its TRADITIONAL RELIGION! Europeans used the term idol worshipping to describe our original religion in order to to make it seem evil.
So much false by the way. Hausa/Fulani aren't more populated. Both the East and West are more populated. Looks like you're Fulani for making a video with such falsity.
Thank you for putting to right part, by the way there is nothing like Hausa Fulani, there is Hausa tribe, there is Fulani tribe they are 2 different tribes, Fulanis is just about less than 8% of Nigeria population
@@acubesoftwaresolutions4306 Who seems to be smoking between the two of us when clearly, you're saying things that are completely baseless. One question I'll leave for you here to work out in your brains (if you're actually capable of doing so) is; between a people in the desert lands and another in the mangrove (meaning a place covered with vegetation), who would produce more population? Let's see how well you'd fare here.😅😅 By the way, tell us where and where you have lived in the Northern parts of Nigeria in the past.
I recently learned of my Nigerian ancestry; 35% mixed with Yoruba and Esan tribes. I always loved the rich history of Nigeria. I watched Nollywood movies and listened to afrobeat before learning about my ancestry. It's in the blood. Now I need to get a taste of that good food! Lol
Nigeria has about 500 languages and ethnic groups and there are 3 religions- Christians, Muslims and traditional religions. There are Muslims in the south too esp South West area among some Yorubas- there are Christians also in the North particularly among the indigenous people who lived in the region before the jihad by Uthman Dan Fodio, a Fulani from Futa Djalon in the 19th century who converted a lot of the people by force to Islam. You got most of the other facts right tho
I am taking a course on African history this semester. This was a great watch for a more realistic perspective of Nigeria. Sometimes in the West we get kind of a different image of the country than it actually is, just highly urbanized and quite similar to most cities here. Great watch!
As someone writing a Muslim character with Nigerian roots, your video really helped me figure out which ethnic group to assign my character to. Very insightful!
These are only the popular tribes , there are over 250 tribes in nigeria and over 500 languages . Northern nigeria probably has over 100 tribes including Hausa and Fulani , same as the other regions
Lagos is a must visit for anyone visiting Nigeria. Then abuja the capital city. Port harcourt, Calabar, uyo, enugu is very nice. There are others as well
You being from the kanuri in your ancestry DNA , then i will suggest you visit Borno State in Nigeria , that's were you will find large number of kanuri tribes. They are one of the most civilized tribes , they are in possession of the most beautiful women in Nigeria. 😊
Well im black american and my family traced their roots to the yoruba tribe and how coincidential nigeria came up on my ancestry dna test results very high percentage too like 25%
What most people see as been bad sometimes is not but the real character for example you hadly see a Nigerian that bow down to pressure no matter the opposition they wont give up, what u see as setback nigerians will turn it to opportunity its natural of us
It’s true you mostly only hear bad things about Nigerians here in the USA. I wrote and erased what I’ve experienced with them. It’s not fair to clump a whole country of people together. With that being said I pray, pray, pray, Gambians and people from Ghana are openly nice and easy to get along with.
84tahlia yes you are very right .. it seems everyone has something bad to say about Nigerians I’ve had many Nigerians as friends very cool people and fun I think we all have our personal experiences but maybe we should look at the few bad ones we met only instead of including the whole nationality .
My top 5 favorite movies of all time In descending order Lara and the Beat The Devil wears Prada Meet Joe Black Coming to America Bridesmaids And yes Lara and the Beat is the best by far and is an award winning Nollywood movie on Netflix. Thank me later😉. I fell in love with the movie AND Lagos. And Afrobeats I have no words. ❤️
The Igbos are more in population, including the Yorubas. A people living in the deserts can NEVER produce more human beings and live healthier thank those who live amongst abundance of vegetation, called the Mangrove Regions. How insane to keep repeating this same argument.
@@easternblood9207 What 2006 false census? Has anyone ever come to your doorstep to take a headcount of your entire family and neighbours all your life? And how do we monitor the false population of the far North when Milians, Chadians and Niger people cross so freely daily? The earlier we stop believing those British colonial influencers and glorified Northern "huger" population, the better for the rest of us all. The North might even in actual sense, be between 16-17% of the rest of Nigeria cos after counting the Igbos and the Yorubas then, comes the middle Belt whom aren't Northerners too. Fulani is just a minute few cos the Hausa, as long as Nigeria is concerned, have NO say while being the horse upon which the Fulanis are ridding on hence, the earlier we all wake up, the better for Nigeria.
Oh my goodness! So many people... I wanted to go to Africa after my friend said I looked like the Ethiopian people. He had a fit when he came home. He was so excited. He said I would blend right in and that they look like me. He told me that I would have to visit there. I had an African male patient. He kept staring like right through me. I was so nervous and scared. I looked at his wife (I think). His wife smile so I smiled back. The other male was staring at me too. He eventually asked me where I was from? I said here (meaning America). Then he stared at me more like the patient. They all stared like me like so hard. I didn't know what to do or say. He asked me again where I was from. I said America. I ran out the room. I believe my Mom said my father's people were slaves from Africa but don't quote me. I have no idea?? I really wanted to see Africa after I went to Japan. I was like how can all the people look alike? Don't laugh at me! I was silly. I had no concept of things. In America, its so many ethnic groups. I had never seen people of all one race in the same place. I know its silly of me. I came home. I was like I want to go and see where there are all "black" people. I know they are insulted to be called black but my skin color or close to it people. I am mixed up. My great grandmother was a white lady. Her father was a Caucasian preacher. He married my Great great grandmother who was from India. The great grandfather was Blackfoot Indian. One of my Great granddaddies was an Indian chief. I forgot how many greats? We have some Cherokee too. My Mom told me. I am not sure about my father's side of family. Just that little bit of what my Mom told me?? Life is interesting... God is good all the time!! 😄
Nice video! Thank you! I like your channel. Africa is so beautifull and divers and yet so unknown to Europeans. Do you have any nollywood titles of movies on netflix? I would love to watch those 😉🥰 Love from The Netherlands!
Do you know there's North east in Nigeria? and there's South east in Nigeria too? So when he says South, is not referring to South south. We have majorly Northern and Southern Nigeria, before you talk about the regions.......
Yeah...The Rest Of Analysis Concerning Nigeria Are All Facts..And..There's No Doubt About It...Also...Been A Nigerian That Watches Your Programme...I Will Say Really Appreciate Your Content Thanks For Making Africa Proud?✊🏼✊
Nigerians are very superstitious and very religious, very optimistic, full of humor,we like to do things the big way ,always pass the vibe check. I am a proud nigerian
Please now put Nigeria 🇳🇬 on the world status and stage now. This is what we're looking for the longest time, the real truth from Nigerian indigenous people. Your continent and content are dope 👌 definitely using how you break down a lot of things, l you it and just this one video is amazing still things that you can break down even more showing us how the African cultural traditions influence the African people. From the religious society to how they younger new generations are waking up to their respective culture traditions and ancient traditions ancestors way of thinking collectively independently unapologetic in this serious time ⏲️ peace and more love ❤️
I'm half Nigerian and ive been at my dad's side of the family in Nigeria once. But I've never been connected to it... My brother is more connected to all the culture And I feel too white I'm half hungarian. I just want to enhance my African side too❤
You are WRONG on the religion issue. There are three religions in Nigeria. The practices of Isago, Oronmilla, Ogun, and Esun: these are a category of belief practices being practiced in Nigeria.
I was married to a Nigerian man for 14 years who was a pathological liar that tried to steal all my money. I learned a lot about the culture in the pass 14 years. I know how to make all the foods and have many Nigerian friends. What I love most about the culture is how the family sticks together to rip off Americans women and no one will warn you because they are all in on it too. Very great learning experience.
The Igbos are from South East, Yorubas are South West, Niger Deltans are from South South, while Hausa/Fulani are from Northern Part of Nigeria. Nigeria has over 500 tribes.
1. There is nothing like Hausa-Fulani These are 2 distinct Ethnic groups. Please avoid wrong information for the public. 2. Again, all Nigerian ethnic groups matters. Not just three. Also learn to spell Yoruba correctly. 3. There is more than 5 religion in Nigeria. + those imported ones from the Middle East.
There are over 500 diverse ethic groups, tribes, and home nations all complete with their own languages and cultures that make up Nigeria. Some of them are just between 500,000 to 1 million people strong.
3:01 The northern part of Nigeria is much more diverse than that . Even though the larger percentage are Muslim, there is also a large percentage of Christian’s . States like Kaduna state which is one of the largest in the north is split about 50/50 between Christian’s and Muslims , same as Adamawa , Taraba , and states like Gombe , etc have large percentage of Christian’s even though Muslims might be more . So it’s not what it seems like and also if you will add the middle belt / north central including Jos , Benue , Nasarawa then you will find that the North is the most diverse part of Nigeria
This message is directed specifically towards Demot Wallace but is also being shared with RU-vidrs who have been following this discussion. What we have here is the classic straw-man augment being employed by this trolling white supremacist who has decided to award me a positions that not only do I not hold but have fought against physically and verbally more that fifty-five plus years of my life. First Mr. Wallace adduces Trump's entire family setting up investment companies that defrauded a whole lot of Nigerians, as if I had any knowledge of such activity let alone any power to dissuade it from happening. Then with his white privilege he talks about the "pig race soldiers" with their stop and frisk and issuing of frivolous traffic tickets to Black community residents, (for whom I might add I am a member of), as if he has ever lived and or experienced any of it himself. He then mentions the setting up of Libyans, the murdering of Muammar Qaddaffi and the stealing of his wealth and all of negativity that has now followed after his demised in a lame attempt to some how link me to being a member of one of the United Snakes intelligence agency who engineered it. All of these things can be described as horrendously nefarious by any person that has the least amount of decency within them and hence Mr. Wallace then allows that affiliation of those deeds to fall to the way side by its own dead weight only to then props himself up as some shining tower of virtue. This is the classic straw-man argument at its best. What a little devil he is.
2:23 Hausa and Fulani are not thesame tribe . They are different in every way . The Fulani migrated to nigeria in the 14th century and got integrated after the Danfodio Jihad . They live in the north just as other hundreds of tribes and have intermarried with Hausa (just as other tribes ) they are lumped as one for political reasons however, most Hausa people do not like this , they are not thesame and most recently the Hausas are actually trying to make this clear . So if you want to add Fulani to the major tribes then you will make it 4 major tribes due to their presence in political affairs
Yorubas are Muslims and Christians. And you also have lots of indigenous Christians in the north. Get your facts right. In fact there are more yoruba muslims than christians. And also there are those that practice traditional worship in Nigeria as well. So its not just muslims and Christians.
The fulani tribe is totally different from the hausa tribe with their different cultures, beliefs and language...please this two tribe should not be merged together .thank you
