Mattia explaining what many younger adults are faced with in 21st century living: a robotic materialistic life in the Just Make Money corporate economy or live off the crumbs & recycled castoffs while you try to create an authentic, sustainable human life. Mattia is a true inspiration and blessings to him in his life's work. What goes around comes around...
Dave I just need to tell you that the thorny bushes on your land are called 'gorse' and they're highly flammable. More flammable than gasoline. They're probably what started the big fire, so you better cut them all down. The wood that you get from them is perfect for firewood when it's dried! 👍
Forest fires are a real danger there and cleaning the branches and the quick-burning wood is mandatory by law. Get some information locally because you don't want to have problems in the summer. I've been enjoying a lot the progress so far. Nice project!
I'll take this opportunity to point out again :) that wood chips will take care of all your driveway issues. Just need to repeat every three years instead of five for gravel. You'll never regret it. Rent a wood chipper for a day and spread the love around.
I got way too excited at the second van pulling into camp. I think I care even more about starting a community with other people than I do about having the land for myself. Like, camping and building infrastructure is great and fulfilling, but the things you can do with a bunch of people just makes my heart sing.
Well. Let's do it mate. I got loads of outdoor experience to offer, am an architecture student and used to heavy physical work. Plus I got experience in farming from home. So if you start some stuff like that, I'll be there👍
For heating you can check out bio gas generator. It's a good way of recycling food and 💩. And some studys show that bio gas produses a lot less co2 when burned, but I don't know about that. There is also thing called wood gasifier , thats really interesting. You can burn the wood for heat in inclosed chember and then collect the smoke for runung generators. Just some of the options for of the grid living.
I'm doing some catching up with your videos, and oh boy, you should see me smiling :) :) :) It's so so cute what you do. And how you do it. I also see the comments below about the land and the trees. And those are very good advises. So nice that the guys are helping you out. But man, that is one huge project. But again, who we are talking about? You :) so I have all the confidence in ya. Cool.
I recently started watching your videos and I'm loving it so far. Me and my husband own land in Mexico and we are currently working and studying in the States to build up some capital. We both are really excited about the future.
It looks like you could use one of those hand held battery operated chainsaws, you can use them with one hand and cut faster than doing with a hand saw. You have the solar panels to charge it now😉🥰
Hey Dave! Maybe you can use some of the wood branches you cut to build some simple wood stairs. Just cut the branches, bind them together with smaller boughs and voila you got stairs! I don't know much, just thought this was a good first idea I might share with you. You can probably find better instructions, so maybe go look for sth like that :D :)
Support always coming later than expected/needed. That is how the world works. Other than that, I am trying to boost your uploads with likes and minutes & enjoying the view in a meantime. So sorry, cannot support you with money value, but will support you with my time and likes :) Thank you for sharing this!
Me gusto la historia de cómo fue que llegó a vivir a la camioneta, pienso que es el resumen de cómo debemos hacerle para lograr nuestros sueños, quieres algo grande, sacrificas algo grande, la recompensa viene después ❤❤❤❤
Super interesting project, but can I recommend that you reverse order the playlist. I'm trying to watch the episodes in order, and episode 1 is actually the latest video, so youtube would play it backwards. :(
Hey ... check out “Modern self reliance” the guy vlogging this has great ideas and very entertaining ... but you may get some great tips and projects you may want to try out .... so many vloggers .... at a later stage when you get temporary living spaces to make life more easy ... you can check out homesteaders ... I could recommend a few good ones also !!! 😘
Too little views for such good content. I guess experiment the format a little? This reminds me of Modern Builds but you've got significantly more range of topics to discuss.
