Admittedly, I do strive for perfection in my own sense of the word. It has prevented me from trying a lot. I’m starting to try more, but the fear of failure is always there. I feel like it’s a personality issue. I’m just not as charming, clever, or smart as I’d like to be, but honestly, the steps to improve myself are in fog. This video helps comfort me. Thank you. I’ll try harder.

Sometimes , just relax and be present for things to flow ... Experience different approaches to test what works better ... Each person is different and special ...

It's not necessarily about trying harder its more about thinking differently. Most people have fear of failure at various times but that's ok, it's how you think about it and not giving in to it.

Set your: diet, sleep, physical bodily condition, free time rest, quit addictions, find hobbies, get rid of toxic people, spend time with no media for most of the day. When you feel balanced in these foundations, everything else will come super easy. No more fog. You do not have to try harder - you need to take care of yourself.

I don't agree with the "perfection is a personality issue" kiddo. I am the same with procrastination thrown in. I think we are just too hard on ourselves. I've come to see myself as average...at everything. I keep thinking I should get accolades for doing well on my job, when really I'm DOING the job. What's expected. You'd think I was raised in the "Participation Trophy Generation ". Get a prize for showing up😂. I'm 67 yo pushing 68!

this video is incredible, i'm so glad i stumbled upon it. my thinking has been negative and screwed up for so many years and recently i had been identifiying issues with my thinking...I have been listening to this video every day, the first time I listened to it, it was like a mental shift occured, like a new window opened. I listen to it over and over so this becomes natural way of thinking for me, I also tend to be very forgetful while also getting demotivated quite easily so listening to it repeatedly helps keep my mind right. I'm feeling like I have a chance at living for once because I realize how much I have been holding myself back and that I hold the key to fight for the life I want. THANK YOU so much for this video and your whole channel.

You have toe be VERY careful with #2 though. Because the concept of shifting from a victim mentality to an ownership mentality can presents several problems in general. It places excessive responsibility on individuals for their circumstances, disregarding the influence of external factors such as systemic inequalities, socio-economic conditions, and historical injustices. This framework overlooks the trauma and systemic barriers that individuals face, ignoring the impact of past experiences, discrimination, poverty, and other structural factors that severely limit one's ability to "take ownership" of their life. Moreover, it can perpetuate victim-blaming attitudes by suggesting that individuals are solely responsible for their hardships, disregarding the ways in which societal structures and power dynamics contribute to inequality and marginalization. This concept prioritizes individualism, self-reliance, and market-based solutions while neglecting collective responsibility and social safety nets. It reinforces the narrative that success or failure is solely determined by individual effort, rather than acknowledging broader systemic influences. Focusing solely on individual empowerment overlooks the need for systemic change and collective action to address root causes of inequality, disregarding the importance of policies and interventions aimed at redistributing wealth, promoting equity, and dismantling oppressive structures. Encouraging an ownership mentality without considering the diverse experiences and challenges faced by different individuals can lack empathy and understanding. It may disregard the complexities of lived experiences and reinforce harmful stereotypes about personal agency and worth. Additionally, not everyone has equal access to the resources, opportunities, or support systems necessary to cultivate an ownership mentality. Structural inequalities, such as those related to race, gender, class, or ability, significantly impact an individual's ability to exercise agency and control over their life circumstances. So, in summary, while promoting personal agency and empowerment can be valuable, it's essential to recognize the limitations of an individualistic approach and the need for broader systemic change to address the root causes of inequality and injustice.

I think that if you overthink those things, they can weight a person down and keep them from taking action to move their lives forward despite the existence of those things in our world. There are lots of examples of people that achieved tremendous things in life despite starting from a place that many would consider disadvantaged. "Systematic barriers" are only show stoppers if you choose not to push past them. If you put too much weight on poverty, etc... they can weigh you down and prevent you from moving forward. That is why you need a mindset shift...the purpose of this video. While people in economically depressed areas may seem disadvantaged to outsiders, in some ways, they have advantages that the wealthy do not have. They tend to have a greater hunger and drive to change their situation. Which can be fuel for self improvement. A guy in my high school lived in a trailer park with his immigrant parents. He put himself through college and got a job with a Fortune 50 company. He quit working and went back to school and got a Master's Degree from Notre Dame. He's since been a director at big companies like Microsoft. Similarly, not everybody that our society labels as privileged is completely advantaged. Some have experienced trauma or were abused and those things keep them from making progress in their lives. They have their own issues to overcome. Nobody says ageism or homophobia or various economic conditions don't exist. But, if you want to self improve or make progress in life, you need a mindset that doesn't let those things slow you down. You take action and make progress in parallel with their existence. Yeah...things might be harder. You may have more setbacks in trying to pursue your goal. You may hear 40 rejections while somebody of a different environmental upbringing may only hear 4 rejections trying to get to achieve the same goal. But, you need a mindset that keeps you moving forward and keep trying regardless. It may take you longer to get there than others, but you can't give up. You aren't responsible for racism or ageism or classism or any other -ism, but you are responsible for your life and where you go in life...what you choose to achieve and when you choose not to put effort in.

Are you going to put effort into changing your self or the world at large? There's an obvious answer that you'll find through the fog of all that bullshit you're on about.

100% true there are some limitations for people in life that can be frustrating and make it more difficult to achieve. However, overall it does start with owning your actions beginning with the choice to find a way to study in elementary and high school to get good grades, as time goes also obtain knowledge on financial literacy and strong career paths and entrepreneurial opportunities. That will assist in decision making early that will build upon each smart decision throughout life despite some possible obstacles for said known issues. It starts early. but owning your choices and making the right choices can lead to more success, than letting things happen. I've lived a let things happen safe mode life and looking back, I'd like to have took the action on the ideas, because it changes outcomes. Anything is possible, just find and use the resources available. Own our actions, despite our struggle. The good thing is, its never too late to change our thought process at any point of life.
