Actually the fence helps because cactus is less likely to fall into the other cactuses. And I don’t think that cactuses can go above the fences consideribg theyre 1.5 blocks tall. You can always put another fence on top
@@SpeedTriggers open gates and string may cause dropped cacti to fall onto other cacti more often. A 2 blocks tall fence in a + pattern is the best one to minimalize cacti loss. Not that we need to. Or do we?
It's to demonstrate how the farm works. It's gonna be slower in practice, but it can still yield plenty of resources if you let it run as you do other things.
Or you could build a forcefield: Dig a border 4 blocks deep around your house. Place signs on the topmost block of the hole and then place carpets on it. You can walk over it but mobs can't, unless they fly/climb/cram their way in or spawn inside (they can't get out now).

I had a setup that I made with a friend that was similar to the third one. It was a row of chambers with villagers in them, crops, and a dispenser with water. We had a big Redstone clock hooked up to all the different chambers (they had different foods). When the clock activated the water ran down the chamber's floor and the flood flowed towards a hopper from where it flowed into chests in a big underground base. We had a chamber with potatoes where before going to the chests they went to furnaces to get cooked, and then into the chests. For fuel (furnaces) we had a kelp farm that automatically put them in furnaces to get dry kelp and then into the other furnaces to act as fuel. Though, if we were playing on the future versions or a modded server we probably would've made the kelp autocraft into a block for more efficiency.
I always do a composter like that, and early game ill set up a few furnaces using a similar setup for crude "auto" furnaces until i can get a mega one set up
Yeah, well one problem is sometimes when the cactus breaks.The cactus doesn't go off the block.The item that drops will sometimes land on the edge of the block and get stuck

Ya missed a Easy one. Hopper to single chest, Set sand block on top of hopper Surround and cover with Trapdoors. Open top, break sand, and crack eggs till you get a baby chicken inside. Now you have a Egg collector where the Rate of Eggs is determined by the number of Chickens on the hopper.
В ферме кактусов нужно убрать забор по середине, и тогда все будет правильно, но если рассматривать бэдрок версию, то вместо забора надо поставить стекло
If you have any kind of auto crop farm (melon/pumpkin comes to mind), slap a composter at the end of your hopper chain for the overflow. Works for the flowers in iron farms too (you'll need an item filter for that).
1st farm: Completely useless even in early game 2nd farm: Nice, you got mini XP farm 3rd farm: Nice farm, but you should make it bigger 4th farm: This is the G.O.A.T of all farms 5th farm: Pretty useful if you have tons of wheat seeds
