We are using the 6-Trait Writing for 4th grade and it's great! Evan Moor has always been a success in our homeschool. I wish I got the student workbook, I covered up the pages that had the answers in the main book. It pairs well with BJU English.Your hair looks fabulous by the way, always does!!

Thank you for sharing, do u prefer the Daily 6 Trait Writing by Evan-Moor over Building writing skills by Critical Thinking or would u say combining both would work great?
I love watching your content so helpful also, I wanted to ask you if you ever used Master Books with your girls? If so, what did you/they think of it? If not would you ever consider it with your younger child?
My 10yr old is is profoundly dyslexic and struggles with dysgraphia. Writing has ALWAYS been our worst subject. I actually have this book but have been hesitant. Do you think it alone is enough to teach writing or is it more of a supplement?
This is exactly what I’m looking for something very gentle and very basic. We need simplistic. The only problem is my girls want to do everything online and they want to type not write. Does this company offer anything online or for the computer?
My daughter doesn’t like writing and isn’t confident about it either. I think your daughter is technically in 5th grade too right? Wondering what level to get her since you have a 4th grade one if I should get that or the 5th grade one? Thanks!
Would you say that students need to start at a lower level for this program or do you find each level reviews all of the concepts? I am a first time home school mom this year my daughter is in ninth grade but I found through placement tests for curriculum she is more 6th/7th grade level with language arts. Honestly it doesn’t seem like the public schools teach much in the way of writing. She has very basic sentences and is lacking in creativity so she just hates to write. We started with BJU this year then moved to IEW. Both were a disaster so we let it go awhile back.
With the craziness of this year, we took a short break from BJU Press for writing and grammar but we might go back to them later this year or next year. I think it's a great program but I like to show you all other alternatives just in case you need other options to choose from.
We've tried IEW, BJU Press, Writing with Ease, EIW and a few other workbook options. I will say, I do still like EIW and BJU Press for their writing but I've found Evan Moor's to be the least expensive and the most gentle.
