Hi I loved the lesson and I also have most of these issues and it always baffled me but this video solved these issues for me and the blast and join trick was a great move. I have a note. When I work, it flows along the surface and I transfer it to the surface of the ring. The set of drawings on the surface of the ring appears very distorted, in the form of a longitudinal expansion. More clearly, when I transfer a square shape to the surface of the ring, it turns into a rhombus shape. As if my drawings were exposed to a wave of intense heat and melted.
When you Flow Along Surface, the object will stretch. I have a video discuss this issue at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JBJuQmRvvs8.html

Hi PJ - I have asked people on McNeel Forum on how to close an edge on a nurbs surface (NOT POLY) and seems like no one know. So could you please let me know how to do that? I separated the surface by isopam then wanted to attach it back together, the surface are the same because it was originally one surface but somehow I was not able to attach it back together. on the forum they told me there is no way of attaching the surface back together I have to work around it. is it true?
It is hard to answer your question without seeing your model. you can send your model to me with description on the issue or short video to my email at pj@pjchendesign.com.
