Some good stuff here, I just signed up for every rewards card I could at every possible casino my last trip to Vegas. Totally agree with CVS and Walgreens being better priced. I think the only thing I disagree on is booking directly with the hotel. I get the feeling you drive to Vegas vs myself who has to fly. Expedia is way cheaper if you’re flying in and book hotel and flight as a package even after paying the resort fee. Just got a 3 day/2 night stay at the Linq for $550. That’s what it will cost me total for flight, hotel, and resort fee for two people.
The local government has established fixed rates between the airport and strip hotels. The taxi drivers cannot charge more than those rates (by law). Visitors can save by paying the taxi driver cash to avoid the extra service fee.
