I nominate the Lexus GS450h! Especially if JB comes down here and drives it (you know you want to!). Hidden exhausts and hybrid badges...oh and more power than a 2020 Audi S6. I feel like I hype that car up so much that JB could only ever be disappointed by driving it, but I reckon a speeding ticket is more likely ☺ I'm starting to look at replacements though...might be buying the exact opposite of a sleeper within a year.
Ever done one including the CLS? I think it competes on this list, 55 amg 8-15k 4.7 to 60 with plenty of spec options, the best looking Mercedes too imo, do 500K miles easy
Someone in my area has one all murdered out. Think he changed the exhaust on it. Loves putting his foot down in it. Hopefully he drives it considerably
Bentley Arnage: The early 4.4 BMW engined cars are by far the best and 100% the most reliable model. The 6.75 RR engine model (the 'Red Label') is the one with the head-gasket issues. The reason the 4.4 sells for less is because the majority of owners want a 'quintessentially English car' and as such want it with the Rolls Royce engine. I have owned both models, and the 'Red Label' proved totally unreliable. Head-gasket (£3,500) gearbox (£3,000) water pump and all belts (£1,500). The 4.4 however was totally reliable. The reason the Red label is unreliable is because when the 6.75L engine was shoehorned in, the cooling system was not changed, which proved disastrous, especially when Bentley went from a twin Cosworth Turbo to a huge single Garrat turbo which ran the engine too hot. Ironically the 4.4 BMW engine is also more fuel efficient, giving around 20mpg on a run, compared to the Red Label 16mpg. If I was to buy a third Arnage, I would NEVER touch a 'Red Label' but most definitely have another 4.4 (generically known as the 'Green Label'). I hope this helps.
Great vids and fun to watch! One comment if I may... Could you speak more slowly? For those non native speakers... Thanks and keep up the great job!! 👍
@@CarsWithJB Correct Bro. Also video idea. Top 5 driving road in UK with the right GT cars. I done the NC500 in Scotland last year and Brecon beacons in Wales Trust me them are journey journeys. One love bro👆🏾. U got my support
A Prius if ur blind and u can’t see it and if ur not blind get an Audi a1 or a3 from around 2015 for around ur price they have good mpg and are quite good looking
Run away run away now ...your wallet will thank you. I lived in Cyprus and it was full of second hand imports bought by local chavs who thought they were getting a super car. Unfortunately they have no idea about cars and servicing costs and can't read so they leave them burning by the roadside and claim the insurance. BTW they get mum and dad to take out a 25 year remortgage to buy one. Loads of 18 year olds earning 6k a year driving c63s. ....usually into the nearest wall😂😂😂😂
Nice video. I currently drive an XJ 3,0d, which, because it is aluminium has plenty of power 0-60 5.9 secs and handles like a car half it's size. it is definitely a luxury car you want to drive yourself.
Like your videos bro! There seems to be a lack of BMW s I think the 7 series v12 are lux enough wouldn't you say? I think I'd have the Jag though even with its flaws. But I won't be cancelling my BMW order 😜 but keep the videos coming always a class watch best of luck with the videos
10 powerful estate cars please also 10 powerful suvs thanks bro 🙂🙂under 50 k as my budget will be around that , i am thinking about an audi rs6 avant or rr svr or rr sport tell me what you think ..cheers mate
Excellent videos, your presentation style is great and you could speak even longer about the different models (especially about the reliability). I have a MB E350 AMG (2012) and it has been highly reliable (150 000km), has no timing chain unlike some other Mercs, and the engine economical and powerful (302hp, 0-100km/h 5.7sec).We find it more beautiful (classic design) than the more recent models. Many of these former very expensive cars have air suspension. Even though highly comfortable and practical, the repair of air suspension is costly so I would try to avoid those. One car you could also mention is the Audi S6 with a 5.2 V10 engine. Seen a used one (2008) for 8000 dollars, not bad for a V10 :) Expect to pay more at the fuel pump.
Nice Video but Your wrong about the XJ - it's light for its size and very much a drivers car with good performance, economy, steering and handling. It drives like a smaller car and even the diesel is quite quick.
Sorry slightly irrelevant q, but what is your opinion on the Chevrolet aveo as a first car? Also ive found an interesting 'faster' ( 0-60 in 10.9 seconds ) car that has v. cheap insurance, it is a mercedes a class 1.7 A170 Avantgarde SE 3d, im not sure on the look but at least it is different !
I’m about to buy my driving package, car & insurence whenever lockdowns over, will you do video for me of cats that have lowest insurance and biggest MPG, I don’t care what it looks like, to an extent ahah
In response to your question, drive or be driven in a luxury car, definitely drive. Being in control of a luxury barge, with all that creamy smooth power delivery.
Hi im 15 and I've been looking at your first car for young drivers and I wanted to if the bmw 330i e46 or a peugeot 207 gti would be good for first cars
As the owner of a luxury car, I'm going to say drive over being driven...but in a Roller I'd change my mind! Glad to see the Panamera on this list. Sure the back looks like a 911 doing a pufferfish trick and going full balloon but no doubt it looks expensive and it's a lot of car for the money. E350 though? Nah...that was a direct competitor to my GS but it wasn't a tough choice for me- the Lexus is more luxurious (by far), faster, more economical, better equipped, more reliable...I'll stop bashing now ☺ The interior of that gen of E class isn't great though...looks very dated now. I'd definitely put an LS460L on this list instead of the E- none on autotrader with the rear entertainment kit now but they come up under £20k occasionally. The 600h is twice the price but looks the same and has the same insane rear setup: www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202003078124064
@@CarsWithJB I wanted to find a non-Lexus so badly since I come across as such a fanboy...but I can't get over the rear of the LS460L basically being a private cinema ☺
While I agree about buying cheap (Relatively) luxury cars. The problem is maintenance. Not because it cannot be done, it can. The problem which is often overlooked. A Bentley Arnage was above £200,000 with options. As you say. They can now be purchased for around £20,000 in reasonable condition. What people don't understand with that car? When it goes into the garage. You're not getting the bills for a £20,000 car. You're still getting the bills for a £200,000 car. And that is the same process for any luxury car. That is what is often overlooked.
I have been lucky enough to have quite a few luxury cars and sadly found Porsche lacking in every aspect!😳😤😱😢 . For the money I found that the upper range Audi and Merc as well as a couple of the BMW s I had by far out performed engine wise as well as looks for my personal taste! Sorry I don’t mean to upset Porsche lovers this is just my personal taste and driving tastes!x
The only way to show off is with a classic car....I visited a fashionable suburb to Stockholm tonight...and there were new Ferraris, Humber limousines and porsches....I thought that the only bulletproof way to make a mark in that competition was by arriving in an old and perfectly restored car....Then it's not about money....It could be about what you like....A classic car doesn't compete with these new and expensive cars...I had a regular Z4...and it wasn't competitive at all ( but I don't care...I like my car)
@@CarsWithJB I have seen your others, yeah! I'm a big fan of your format! I know V6s sound great and perform relatively well, so there could be potential bargains for people out there (Alfa Brera V6 comes to mind for me).
Be driven in a luxury car. Defeats the purpose of a luxury car if you are driving it. I would rather buy a more capable and sporty car, if I would want to drive a car
Love the interaction you having with your viewers but I can't help but think there will. come a time you won't be able to reply everyone I can't wait to see this
It always amazes me the more expensive the car the less the reliability. Are they taking the piss? Companies like Mercedes expect you to fork out 100k for a luxury barge with issues they haven't fixed over the years. No wonder people are turning to Lexus and Hyundais. ....I mean come on if they can get it right why can't so called German top class engineering match them?
If you're in the front they might think you're the taxi driver though! I take a simple approach: I drive my luxury car, but I make sure I overtake people quickly enough that they can't see if anyone is in the back ☺ Also the blinds are always up....
see a real challenge is to make "5 cheap luxury cars, without going bust after the purchase :) otherwise it defeats the purpose of looking at 5 cheap luxury cars
