I use self adhesive bandage wrap for fingers. It’s the same tape that vets use on animal paws. You can get it in so many different colors and patterns.
I like using non-slip shelf liner (the kind with cushion to it) and baby hair rubber bands. It adds a squishy and non-permanent handle that can be removed or adjusted at any time. I've also thought about using electrical tape to make my larger hooks less slippery when I crochet in summer.
I have been using polymer clay. So far, I have had only one crack and break. It is important not to shape clay too much further than the length of the actual hook. Keeping it the same length is ideal. Loved this video. Thank you!
Thanks for the clay tips! I have all the gear and clay sitting in my craft pile and just never got around to trying it out 😊 Maybe one day I'll get to it!
I still have my collection of loom bands so I made what was essentially a bracelet and stuck the hook down the middle. I really like it because you can change the hooks pretty easily
I know right!! I never knew about those! Now I can use those instead of the pipe cleans or the nerf things ❤❤❤ thank you so much Grace for showing those and mentioning how you use them.
I recently had to wrap a very long, flimsy 2.5 hook to minimize breaking it and make it less slippery in my hand. I used medical sponge tape. It was very sticky in my hand. I added a layer of mole skin around it and viola! I am very happy with it! there is also a meltable bead called Perler beads that would also be like the morpho
Hi Grace! Try Hockey tape to wrap around the pencil grip thingie you bought. The hockey tape works well on its own but it may be more comfy with the grip underneath. Happy crafting!!!
