BTW the lower the tier in tier 1 mode the more experienced your supposed to be. Oh and GL in the hardest difficulty where you get 6 shotted by regular SB troops. Trust me. It's annoying.
I got one for you. If you have all the intelligence discovered in an area and you come across an SB lieutenant and if you take that SB lieutenant and put him in a vehicle and you drive to a region that you don't have all the info for, you can interrogate him in that region and get the info for that region.
Few thing I figured: 1. Shooting generators and jammerss will alert base. If you want to reduce enemy efficency silently. Shoot shining boxes on alarm towers. 2. If you are long range sniping and drop a guy in the open or a bad spot. Scoping a far mountain behind you will despawn body. (I managed to kill one guy from 800m without alerting the guy standing next to him by aiming far as it hit. Never pulled that off twice). 3. This is unconfirmed by me. With the suppy raid that involve stealing a heli or plane. The guy who will fly away is always (based on my experiece) whoever the HVT marked person is. Usually a captain (mark icon with lines) 4. Switching seats in helis while piloting is a fun and cool way to dodge missiles. Not 100%, But you need momentum at least.
@@nightstepgaming493 just noticed..santa planca troops theres a bunch of guys arount a medic helo,but one in particular looks like hes dressed to pilot. Dropped him first, everyone panicked but no one took the chopper. It was nice
A cool feature that took me a while to figure out was that you can use your drone to call in a rebel mortar fire, etc. As a person who plays this game single player, extreme, no hud, and uses the drone a lot, this feature is extremely useful
I could never get the mortar fire to work properly... (XBOX One) --- Every time I set it to where I want them to mortar, they mortar in a complete different spot.. But have been using the Spot feature which is handy
iLL MANORS I don't think you should be able to. It just makes it too easy to one shot a heli with a sniper. They should make it a one shot for hitting the engine or the rotors.
You CAN drop a Heli with ONE SHOT, using the HTI in the Base game or the Desert Tech HIT BDC in the Tier 1 Mode. The desert Tech HTI is 50% more powerful than even the HTI in the base game. Wahooooooo
Yep I learned this after playing for about 3 hours lol Except once in a while the AI glitch and don't get in... This happened to me a few times and I went to attack a convoy and had only 1 guy in the vehicle
great video! few things i've discovered. 1. Disabling the generator for the base not only disables all the lights in the base but also disables UAV jammer, alarm towers, SAM sites, and open gates in addition to just killing the lights. 2. Marked targets with red indicators are targets that you do not have line of sight with which is good for taking shots from partially obstructed views or against moving targets that may pass behind shot obstruction. 3. Bullet penetration stat affects your ability to disable vehicles or wallbang targets behind cover and provided the penetration stat on a weapon is high enough (i.e. unsuppressed AR/high power sniper rifle with high penetration stat), you can actually shoot through cinderblock, sheet metal, and concrete road barriers. Also the penetration ability decreases with suppressor equipped even with the adv suppressor perk unlocked.
many people might know this one but many people i've played woth online dont. whenever I play in a lobby with random people and we are scoping out the place with drones, i usually get it done in like 4 seconds, this because I have the "rebel spotting" skill maxed out. what you do is just hold down the command button at the bottom right you will see spotting then aim it at a camp and done, everyone within the radius gets spotted. you can use it while aiming down sight, from your drone, from your person and from the binoculars.
While the HTI is the best anti-material rifle, the MSR has the best penetration. It's not uncommon for an MSR to shoot through thick objects, like concrete walls, barriers, and even some vehicles. (As in, the rifle round going through the entire car, killing him on the other side.) Some weapons can be quite loud, and can be heard up to 150m by the A.I. To be absolutely certain you won't be heard, stay above 150m.
I'm afraid you're wrong, Jake. The L115A3 has less penetration when fully upgraded than the MSR, and both produce the same amount of sound unsuppressed.

You can drive through an enemy base undetected if youre in one of their respective vehicles. Perfect for doing the rounds for skill points and medals with out pain of finding and killing an entire base.
Binoculars have a range finder bottom middle of the screen. So if you are spotting but for some reason the person is just out of range pull out your binoculars put target in center and read the number on the bottom to figure out where on your scope you should aim at.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned that the ghilllie suits DO work wearing them allows a undetected player to get incredibly close to hostiles around 8-10m from what I tested
Here's one for the more stealthy operators. Has this happened to you? You're sneaking into a base full of guards and the objective requires you don't get detected, and you have to take out one guard that's in your way but as soon as you shoot your suppressed weapon, another 3 guards hear it, come to investigate and either corner and spot you or discover the body? Try on of these little techniques to insure that this never happens again: 1.) Use your side arm instead of your rifle. The bigger the gun, the higher the caliber, the more noise it creates even when suppressed. Your suppressed side arm of choice can by a lot quieter, but can still be heard if extremely close to another guard. 2.) Grab the guard and drag them into a secluded area. By doing this you insure that other patrolling guards don't stumble onto a dead body. Think Splinter Cell or Metal Gear Solid V, if you leave a fresh body in the open, someone will notice it, and since you can't carry cadavers grabbing them while they're alive is the best way to go. 3.) If you're close enough to grab, you're close enough to melee too. If the guard is next to a room full of other guards and he has his back turned, don't shoot but instead Perform a take-down melee attack. Melee attacks in this game are the quietest way to take down targets and they emit absolutely no sound making it the most effective way to quietly dispatch a patrol in a column formation or idle and solitary guards or even a room of 2 to 3 guards that are all distracted or not paying attention to each other.
Thanks for the video. I have 2 added comments. 1: take down helicopters with high power sniper rifles work better if the the attachment ex. Compressor or silencer is removed. 2: if your in a big fight with the uniden let your team take out the helicopters and your warning won't go up.
This is very situational, but if you are playing with no hud, and you are doing the "scare the sicario" missions it is always the person in a black vest, not the heavies though, just normal soldier with a black vest.
Love your videos and keep them coming but I want to let you know that if you fire near them even at 150 meters they will hear the bullet whiz by and be alerted....that is due to a near miss. You will then hear the words or one of your team mates say that "He knows someone is shooting at him" or "He's looking for the source of the shot". Love videos....keep em coming!!

I do think they should patch out changing of weapons from load screen because it will make you think more on what you want to use when you go into a mission
I think the best idea is to allow players to change their loadout whenever they want, but not when you are hunted or engaged. That will allow you to recon enemy base, choose weapons and go in. In my opinion being able to change weapons only at ammo box might be a bit annoying, especially when you are doing mission first time and cant tell what exactly you might need before you recon the area, and usually when recon is done (or jammer localized) there is no ammo box nearby to adapt to current needs
I have a very helpfull tip. If u run out of ammo, pick up the enemy's weapon switching the gun that u are out of ammo with. And then run around and pick up dead enemy's ammo in that gun. Then swap back to your old weapon in the menu and boom ur ammo is full or at least as much as u picked up.
Grenade Launchers also take out helicopters in one shot. Also in conjunction with your first video. If you take out the power generator of a base it not only turns off the the lights, it also makes the drone jammers, and alarm systems go offline as well. I think it also disables SAM as well but I'm not 100% sure on that one.
Note: You can only 1-shot helicopters with the HTI if the suppressor is off. It's all about the "Penetration" weapon stat (Not necessarily the "Damage")
Seriously, number 3 ? ... That range changes with every weapon. That's also why it's a stat category on its own when you look at a weapon's stats. If you take the M405 sniper rifle for example, that distance will be different.
As noted before by others, each weapon had range it can be heard from. All guns have a stat called noise reduction, the higher this is the less distance you need between you and an enemy for them to hear the shot, ie a pistol can't be heard from 100 meters but a sniper rifle can
You can shoot the SAM sites with the HTI, my friends and I do it all the time. You just need to shoot the top part that is spinning, almost at the neck of it. The body has too much armor. Test it out.
I have destroyed LOTS of them and not had a problem with them spawning too fast. One place I have to land my helo and destroy THREE SAMs and then I can fly away. Best to use drone, at 300-250 meters.
If you use the HTI sniper rifle with no suppressor you can one shot any "moving" vehicle including all helicopters and armored vehicles. if the armored vehicles are at a stop it will take 2. I know this is similar to one you already did but I thought it might be noteworthy that stationary armored vehicles take 2 HTI rounds to explode but if they are in motion you can "one-shot" them.
A 4 year old video but I just recently played the game with zero info about it besides the E3 2015 reveal and having only played Advanced War fighter 2, these are features you kinda discover just playing through the game and being semi-curious of what you can do in-game and if you read in-game text.
Convoy tip: To those who are struggling getting the max amount of supplies when tagging a convoy because the truck is damaged, here is a good tip for you. fly ahead of the convoy and exit your chopper. As the convoy reaches your position, deploy your drone equipped with the EMP feature. hover over the truck and EMP all the vehicles that support it including the truck. Take your HTI and blow up the support vehicles first. pull the truck driver out of his seat or manhandle him as to not hit the truck with bullets. Tag the truck. this also works using the EMP to get the minor intel that is driving away on you. have fun :)
Another useful tip for a third video, patch 2 added the ability to mute ALL radio sources in the game. This includes radios found in towns/bases. If you can't stand hearing DJ Perico going over the same bit for the umpteenth time, you can now play to the tune of sweet silencio.
The reason some sniper rifles can't easily take down a copter is because rifles like the HTI and MSR are anti-armor rifles and the SVD and many others are anti-infantry. Anti-armor are designed to take out vehicles and heavy ordinance whereas anti-infantry rifles are only designed to take out soft targets.
for high risk built up areas where you need to destroy cocaine caches or kill a marked target use your explosive drone it can also be used to take out low flying helicopters aswell
There's two features that I've mentioned to a lot of people in coop one being that if u use a ghili it hides your infrared and you aren't as easily noticed by helicopters. The other one is that your EMP drone will stop a convoy or fleeing enemies
I think the strength of vehicles increases with the difficulty of the game. I have started the game for the second time on the hardest level and have found the helicopters can take more damage.

Idk if anyone has mentioned this but, if you zoom out with a weapon equipped, your radar also zooms out and displays any suppplies, documents, weapons, etc. so you don't leave an area while missing anything important
It's important to mention the caliber of the rifle in the context of shooting down helicopters or destroying vehicles in one shot. For instance, the HTI is .50 cal where as many other rifles in the game are 7.62mm or, in general, smaller than the HTI.
The range the enemy can detect you is based on game difficulty. Are your videos recorded on extreme difficulty? Because the enemy is probably more likely to hear you at longer ranges there.
There is a hidden lifted up 4 person off-road truck it's in the region u start in. Best truck in the game and no it is it any of the trophy trucks cause they are 2 door. Haven't seen any RU-vid video on it. Found it in closed beta and finally found it again in full game. Only in one spot on the game completely hidden on purpose! Let me know if u have found this slicer?
If you holster and interact with a lock you will use lock picks to unlock it instead of bashing it with a rifle but. You can hide in the trunk of a car(same one you can stow an enemy in) and shoot out of it
I was unaware of the fact that you can halt the supply Trucks with the +5000 or whatever the value in with a well timed emp drone, it also does no damage to the truck so you get full rewards. I'm not sure what level your emp drone has to be due to the fact that I only tried it for the first time after maxing out that skill. Not sure how many people actully know this. Great video keep it up :)
Hello guys ! I just started playing this and it s been a really nice experience so far ... sort of ... A few questions ... if someone knows : If i SELECT a difficulty with people ... does it change the difficulty for all ? How can a join a game in EXTREME mode ? Would like to play it all tactical and shit ... For example - if i play my single player campaign (on extreme) and another dude joins, it will also be "extreme" for him ? Cause I have n figured it our ...
Run out of ammo? I try to run out, the fact that no matter what ammo your gun uses, and no matter what gun the enemy uses, you can always pick up ammo, that's unimmersive for me...
Heres my 2 cents. For the convoys, I find it easier to create a pileup of vehicles and block the road. Then Ill shoot the driver, then the wheels, and everything is just picking off targets from there on. C4 is a bit tricky, the comms truck is the only one that will survive a blast and not blow up. Lastly, I don't know if its a hidden game feature, but if you do rebel missions in an area, more rebels will patrol the road.
While on foot hold down triangle to holster all weapons. Once all weapons have been holstered tap your R1 or R2 to get a higher POV. EXP: If you shoot with R1 then you would tap R2 to change POV. You can not shoot your weapon in that POV but its cool while your running around.
you can snip out the tail blade of a helicopter with any sniper rifle ya just need steady aim and need to be able to time your shots right it,s a good tip trust me note that it is very hard trick to do:)
I use my drone to take down any helicopter if Im pinned down and can't move. Take your drone right up to the propellers and it with make the chopper crash. I found this out when i dismount the chopper and hit my drone on accident it shredded the propellers on the chopper. So before I got the EMP upgrade and didn't want to waste rounds or couldn't shoot or move because I'm pinned down and can't call rebel support for mortars or anything. I'll use the drone to mark enemies around me then fly my drone right into the propellers of the chopper and it will break the blades and make it crash. The HTI I can shoot the missile launcher. I aim at the dish and a few shots and it starts to smoke then blows up. I have done it a few times when i run out of explosives and grenade launcher rounds. The closer you are the more damage you do. Hitting the top part of the missile launcher is its weak spot I think. If not then it must be just a glitch. I shall try and shoot one in a few minutes and confirm if it's legit. Just last night I had no ammo and got irritated doing leap frog with the chopper. Almost like bounding drills, im up he sees me im down crap. So i dismounted the chopper and used the HTI. 4 shots at the top of the launcher aiming at the small dish i started to see it smoke at the third round and on the 4th shot it blew up and then I flew away. Few days before that I stood 3 meters from it and kept shooting trying to find a weak spot and the bottom half is like bullet proof. The top half takes damage. Anyways, I'll go and confirm it now and use max penetration with good damage and the HTI and let you know if it was just a glitch.
Yeah I think people are finding lots of extra uses for drones! And I did shoot the SAM site all over (I should have shown this in the video) and I couldn't find a weak spot, I must have missed the exact weak part as others have said they can shoot it too. How did you get on?
You can sync shot chopper gunners and pilots. They have to be in choppers with open doors. It hasn't worked (for me) on the attack choppers with enclosed cockpits. You just have to mark the occupants with your drone by pointing at the open doors. Door gunners are easiest to mark, but if you can get the right angle, you can mark the pilots too. After that, just assign the targets to your AI teammates, and if they're not too far away, they'll take em out on order.
if you have one of the .338 snipers they take 2 hits on choppers. i have however noticed a bug, HTI suppressed didn't seem to do any damage to a choper. (do note that snipers need to be unsuppressed to take down choppers in 1-2 hits.
blowing up choppers with sniper rifles it goes by penetration rating , cuz i noticed the SR-1 is about ( giving it my own rating based on color on bar ) is about a 5 or 6 on penetration where as HTI is maxed out , and it takes 2 shots from any version of the SR-1 rifle as where any the HTI snipers even on extreme difficulty can 1 shot all choppers
I had this weird thing happen where you can drive the cadillac sedan and the enemies ignore you, both unidad and the cartel. I used it to sneak into the cartel base a bunch of times
I don't know if it has happened to other players, but a few times I have flown into the side of a building (twice it was an airport tower) and gone into the flip side of the game (basically through the surface) and continued parachuting until eventually it said I died in action. Like the tips though, especially the weapon switch.

Nee it did me and totally corrupted the game now every once in a while the screen flashes red my character turns land mermaid and starts swimming in air hell one time i pulled a god and slowly floated upwards until i reached max height and got violently slammed face first into the ground instakilling me
If you have a light machine gun as your primary weapon 3 of the vests change and they are the molle harness, IBA and the heavy IBA they look pretty cool and the vest completely looks different to the standard one
Most people don't know you can parachute off anything not just helicopters. For PC I'll run at an edge and right before I run off the edge I spam the jump button which causes my character to jump off the edge instead of running off and prompts the ability to pull a parachute. Most people don't know this I actually discovered it on accident. Might be useful to share.
weird variation on the unsuppresed alerting of people. i need to test, but after watching i think if you actually hit someone, you may have to be further away to bot alert people with a loud weapon. GRW has some odd mechanics like this throughout. like for example, alerted enemies seem to take more damage than non alerted (i can one shot a unidad soldier with an assault rifle when hes just chilling but one they are alerted it takes multiple hits) so i think its similar when alerting them with an unsuppressed weapon. I.e. if you actually kill someone, others around will be alerted and you have to be further back
the only time u get one shot off the sniper is u have to hit the center of the propeller and for the shot distance for being spotted is different for every weapon
SMGs, Assault Rifles, LMG, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles ammo are all their own they're not centralized ammo, so of course switching from Assault rifle to SMG would give you ammo. Did you know that switching from your primary to your secondary also gives you full ammo if it's a different gun type..? Wow.
*add to the next vid* for people having trouble with convoy and vehicle related missions where you need to stop a vehicle but dont want to damage it too much or cant destroy the vehicle. use a emp drone on the vehicle. try to be close to them and when they get close to you they stop for a period of time. you can then shoot the driver through the door window and tag the supplies or obtain the vehicle. also will disable escort vehicles and can destroy a helicopter aswell
Brandon FrmDaMud I shoot the driver and the first gun truck gunner and have my friends or AI take out the rear gunner. Another way is I'll EMP the supply truck and rear truck because the front truck keeps driving and doesn't stop then snipe the driver, passenger and gunner and flash bang spam while running to tag the truck. If I'm alone I'll have the AI sync shot the two gunners and driver after I set off the EMP. Sometimes if you get the comms truck, it will actually short out for a few seconds and move constantly because it's like the EMP has a minor effect on the vehicle just like the sports car. You EMP the sports car or that comm truck you'll notice that it won't move while sparks are coming out from the engine and when it stops the vehicle moves then the sparks come back on and it stops. So I just normally just kill the driver from the side by parking a car in the middle of the road and then throwing flashbangs at both gun trucks and tagging the supplies. If you're trying to get intel from a driving LT in a sports car use a HTI with a suppressor on and shoot his vehicle once or twice and then you can grab him because his car is catching on fire. I found a few spots that have rebels with intel. You fast travel to the town and they'll keep giving you intel. There are 4 or 7 provinces that have a rebel dude with info that you can just fast travel to another town and then back and he'll give you info until all info is displayed. Same goes with enemy LTs fly or drive them to another province and take them out and you can interrogate them again lol.
Eve Dub what I mean is usually we have to get really close to items to tag (green icon) to show up on the mini map so we know they are there but if you use zoom on your weapon (doesn't matter what weapon or scope you're using) it shows the green tagging items on the mini map further away
I maxed out the VHC destruction skill and got the bonus medal for it (so I think that's 100% additional damage), and I still can't 1 shot ANY helo type with an unsuppressed HTI.
The HTI will one shot some non-unidad choppers with that setup, but it has been severely nerfed, the grenade launcher attachment or a hmg are better consistent options at this point.
max distance you can detonate C4 is 500m. drove a truck into a convoy but I was a tad bit over 500 but got within range and my friend was able to blow up the truck I was in. lol
you probably need full ranked VHC for sniper 1 hits on heli, since I had try MSR with VHC rank 1 on heli on extreme which had the round just bounce off the heli.
I killed everybody before I killed Sueño with my second play through, and it said and I quote “El Sueño is down, but you’ve only destabilized 100% of the cartel.~ Complete 100% of the missions to unlock a new ending”.
There's also a glitch with the Ai team witch let's the get a mark on a target no matter where they are. tag 3 guys switch to ur hand gun and just fire when u hear them say they have a target the lock only lasts for a second or 2 and they won't get a second lock but it's ok if only 1 locks as they will still say target marked for the rest of the cool down
I’m not certain about this one but I believe that any sniper rifle can one shot a helicopter if you hit it right at the rotor, where the blades all connect together more specifically
