Hey folks, this is the return of our Mod of the Month series, which has been on hiatus for quite some time now, remastered and redesigned to cover a wider selection of mods in 2024. When the Mod of the Month series first launched in 2015, there were an average of 30 new mod releases for Morrowind a month, and today that average has grown to well north of 100, and so with changing times, I thought it was best to bring back this series with a new format and look. We're still tweaking things a bit, so the next episode might look a bit different, hopefully not as a long, but do let me know what you think of the new design and layout! Our next episode, covering the major highlights of February 2024, will air next week, and we'll be posting these weekly until we're caught up to May and (of course) the Modathon. And if you want to check out weekly mod release summaries with a list of notable new mod releases and major mod updates, stop by our Patreon page, we have a free public blog series covering major updates in the community that usually gets posted every Sunday (we're a bit behind at the moment, due to sickness and Modathon prep, but our archive goes from December of 2023 to April of 2024): www.patreon.com/collection/274488 Here's a list of timestamps for today's video: 0:00 - Opening 0:33 - Introduction 2:15 - Vivec - City of Swords 7:01 - Dagoth Ur Fleshed Out 10:06 - Gares Last Gasp 14:54 - Immersive Grotto Entrances 17:42 - A Familiar Song 19:34 - Morrowind Quests Redux 22:10 - Major Mod Updates in January 22:54 - Caldera Priory Update 23:41 - The Stone Halls of Solstheim - Reforged Update 24:21 - The Guar Whisperer Update 25:12 - More QuickLoot and Rowing NPCs Updates 25:51 - Dallara Imperial Forts Update 26:47 - Amazing Balmora Expansion Update 27:26 - Roaring Arena Update 28:19 - Windhelm Update 28:54 - Blademeister Update 29:40 - Magical Missions Recharged Update 31:08 - Outro and Credits Finally, you can find my graphics mod list here: docs.google.com/document/d/1gVeM37dw4g5fJvMuJzC5t84yEDtnPbHmk93f1sxRmbc/edit?usp=sharing
I like it and must thank you for keeping us on the curve. I have followed you for years, and finally I got my setup of openmw tamriel rebuilt done, now it looks so good with shaders and such, played a month without them. Not going back to script extender, I've had 2 crashes in about 200 hours now roaming TR and doing the wonderful Temple quests there (and even those were alt tab crashes). One thing I'd like to ask is to put a small tag box on the corner for example if a mod suits openmw/vanilla or needs MW Script Extender, that way you don't need to mention it, and it's easier to see fast. Sometimes it's hard to know, even from the Nexus page as there might be some prerequisite mods there and it can be a rabbit hole sometimes to know if it works in openmw.
Interestingly, even if Vivec City of Swords is pretty counter to my own ideal image of how Vivec should be, it made me think a lot about how I prefer it, which I think is part of what makes modding so interesting. Even when it's not my cup of tea, the massive amount of craftsmanship and the creative vision makes you think more deeply about the subject.
I really like the fact that Vivec, neglected for years, has finally become a wonderful, interesting city with a GREAT PORT (yes, the reality of trade is important to me) and sort of a "little Venice." PS. I didn't know what there were new tutotials for CS - DEG, we need at least 1min video on introduction on those, coz I want to start modding Morrowind again so bad!
I'm using a ton of UI mods actually, for a full list, check out my graphics mod list (just scroll down towards the bottom to the UI and HUD sections): docs.google.com/document/d/1gVeM37dw4g5fJvMuJzC5t84yEDtnPbHmk93f1sxRmbc/edit?usp=sharing
one video after months of grind-stoning my nose ... and i already want to hire someone to full time just merge all these mods into a working world. If only money were as easy to come by as ash yams.
The content and information value is actually great, but I cannot stand the narrator's tone and the way how he speaks... I can't describe it, but...just the way how he "overacts", his pauses and tonal changes.... Even the actual voice is almost unlistenable for me - seems unnatural, I can't image a real person behind this voice... Sounds more like a goblin... I don't mean this to be offensive, just a genuine feedback and sharing how I feel. But the showcase and actual information about the mods is awesome, so thank you!
dude, we know but theres nothing really that he or we can do. No hate here, but theres no need to be critical on how someone is on their own content just saying
