Those are some nice guitars. And, I too like things that are nice.

The takeaway from this is Ben Eller sounds amazing on all guitars, so great. That first Suhr looks the best, I love satin finish for black coloured instruments. But, like I said, the trick is that when you hear it, and it sounds so great, realize 99% is the guy on the channel, he could probably sound devastating on a Sears guitar through a Pig-nose. The Cyclops looked amazing too, I never saw a guitar like that, but looks very Stealthy too!!

Please do more in-depth videos on your guitars!!. I'd love to see your whole collection!. Great video mate. Those are some gorgeous guitars!.

I can’t put my Suhr Modern Satin down! It’s the perfect guitar in my opinion. A deep dive into why you love yours would be rad.

I'm a huge, huge Suhr fan, and was employed by Paul Smith yet never owned a PRS. I've got to say Ben, that Hollowbody sounded twice as good as the mahogany satin Modern when chunking! 🤘

Mines a Fender Japan ST62-FR. Yes, a 1962 reissue strat with a Gotoh GE1996T locking trem and HSS pickups with black pickguard, black neck snd black headstock. Totally a 1962 reissue.... at least with that one screw position on the pickguard. And maybe because it's made of alder.

Hell yeah, that was great. Definitely more if these videos. Couldn't wait to get to my gitfiddle after watching. Also , I think I'm going to look into a tele style, I've been trying to figure out what to get next for the collection. Thanks!

My two guitars are: A tele thinline copy made by Fatdog at Subway guitars in Berkeley, and a solid redwood telecaster I made myself, with independent volumes, a series/parallel switch, 500k pots and a .047 cap for maximum adjustment power.

I love the inclusion of the hollow body! I was never a fan of hollow body guitars, because I’d never heard them used in something other than a jazz or blues context. That was until I really listened to the isolated guitar track of “Limelight”. Hearing Lifeson fire up his ES-335 for those first few chords changed EVERYTHING for me. The amount of sustain and grit was just unreal. Easily one of my favourite guitar tones of all time. Up there with Hetfield’s black album tone, and whatever the hell Pete Townshend’s playing on “Baby Don’t You Do It”

Your Dunable really has a killer setup, especially with its BKP Riff Raffs. I personally prefer using low output pickups for playing high gain stuff, even the drop-tuned ones, because I love how they make your sounds so expressive. You can get heavy, screaming sounds while retaining the tonal dynamics and character of your amp and guitar; they don't overcompress like what high-powered pickups do. My main axe is an old ESP Eclipse with BKP Riff Raffs as well, and I have no plans of changing its pickups or the guitar itself.

KnoxVegas! I went to school just down the road a piece at Maryville College. I'm back home in Jersey and live very near the beach, but I sure do miss East Tennessee and those beautiful Smoky Mountains. Also, love those Suhr guitars.

I have two cheap superstrats, one from Kramer and the other from Dean. Despite them being cheap, they are my favorite guitars. I love their sounds and tonal options.

I had the same neck on my 2000 Ibanez 7string. It played badass man! I wish I never got rid of it!

Because of you I sold a kidney, part of a lung, a bit of plasma, and bought my first Suhr. I tell ya, I am floored at how good that guitar is!

Ben Eller ive enjoyed your videos for some time and I know your a great player but what I didn't realize is what a great ear you have for tone, in particular your pickup and guitar combos. I'm a huge fan of the tones you where getting in this video. I know the Rev is a killer amp but the woods and pickup combos are spot on. Just throwing that out there.

I have one badly intonated Ibanez RG420RW which is also in terrible shape.. the frets feel like sandpaper when I bend notes. It is my favorite guitar that I own. Because it is the only guitar that I own lol.

If I had to pick one, it would be your Surh modern satin! Honor mention to that Tele (damn, it sounds incredible! Way different than what I thought a Tele sounded 😂)

I remember the first time I played a Suhr. The band at a bar had a sunburst Suhr strat with a roasted neck that he let me play. Man, the neck on that thing was perfect and fit my hand like a glove. It was like the light bulb came on moment. That guitar is one of those "engineered so nothing is in the way"

I've got a semi hollow tele and I love that guitar

I would say the Satin was my favourite, though I dig what you can do with the PRS . The neck on the satin looks very similar to the necks on my Horizons . I'm fortunate to have fr and fb versions . They are through neck all mahogany with ebony fretboards. The best guitars I've played so far - though I would dearly love to add just one suhr to the family .

Would love to get a Suhr, but my wife is so used to luxuries like FOOD and a place to live. Not to mention its expensive feeding a house full of rotties lol

my fave is my yamaha les paul clone. its so good. i bought a second when it came up on ebay as its that good a guitar. however. i don't play much rock or metal of late and have been playing the hell out of my nashville tele that is hotroded up the kyber pass. it has a pickup selection system that needs a degree in astrophysics to understand. its a hell of a lot of fun to play.

I bought one of Sascha Dunable’s touring guitars and it is easily in my top 2 guitars. Similar to yours but with a Mastery vibrato and bridge. Mahogany but with a walnut top. Grizzly pickups. A total monster.

Would love to see a "Meet the Machines" video where you show the Amp and Pedal settings to get your preferred tones (when using real heads and pedals - not modeling). Your tone bites... in the best possible ways. Specifically, first clip with Stealthy Modern Satin and first clip of Atomic Greeny

The suhr ssh+ tend to do that with any mahogany guitar. I have them in a sg and it totally and tonally brought the guitar to life. I kinda think the reason we think about mahogany guitars as being boomy and unfocused comes more down to the pickups some companies put in them stock more than the wood itself.

Prs core custom 24 faded whale blue. My Jackson dinky dk2m floyd rose, ernie ball majesty 8 string and ernie ball Jason Richardson's 7 string cutlass, my step dad's 1975 gibson SG which is promised to me in his will.

Just imported an Ibanez AZ2402C from Japan, and I love it. The "C" is so hard to find in the USA, and it wasn't much more than a normal AZ2402, so I grabbed it and haven't looked back

From a sentimental standpoint, my favorite guitar I own is an LTD Arrow 1000 in the Violet Andromeda finish. It sounds the best out of all my guitars (especially since I upgraded the stock EMGs to the Het Set), is the coolest looking one, and it’s the only one in my collection with a Floyd Rose. Plus, I wanted that guitar for years, and was overjoyed when I finally got it in my hands. The playability is really nice, too! However, in terms of playability, the objectively best one in my collection is my Legator Ghost 8 FOD. It’s lightweight, has an incredibly fast neck, the strings are so much easier to press down than any guitar I’ve ever played, the stainless steel frets aid in playability, and the multiscale helps keep the string tension consistent throughout the neck. The luminlay side dots are so helpful when playing in low light situations. It sounds incredible as well with the Fishman Fluence Moderns that came with it. There’s one guitar in my collection that just has that X Factor, despite its flaws, and that guitar is my Solar V2.7 TBR. It doesn’t stay in tune as well as my other guitars, the action is impossible to set up well (I took it to a professional tech and even he said he couldn’t really get it to a reasonable height), and it has the fattest neck out of all my guitars. However, it still somehow feels so good in my hands and sounds incredibly chunky. It’s also the only guitar in my arsenal that has passive pickups, though I swapped out the stock pickups for a Seymour Duncan Black Winter in the bridge and Sentient in the neck. It’s my go to for cleans. Another guitar I absolutely love in my collection is my LTD EC-1000 in the Natural Blue Fade. It also has the EMG Het Set in it, like my other 6 string I mentioned earlier. It looks like a work of art and sounds awesome! It plays very smoothly, and gives me a sense of nostalgia because my first electric guitar was an LTD EC-401. It’s not very ergonomic, but I still love it. The last one in my collection is the only one I don’t feel very strongly on, and am thinking of selling it. It’s my Schecter Keith Merrow Standard. There’s nothing really wrong with it other than the weight, it just doesn’t speak to me. It sounds fantastic after I put some EMGs in it and has a great set up, and the Toxic Green Poplar Burl finish is awesome. I bought it online mainly because of the finish. If I do sell it, I’ll get another 8 string and edit this comment to replace this section with the one I buy after.
