One of my favorites I've heard but never pulled off: Brainstorm, memory jar, cyclonic rift in hand, brainstorm away cyclonic rift, cast and use memory jar, overload cyclonic rift from your new hand, pass turn. Returns everything on opponents board to hand, second half of memory jar kicks in, they discard their once board state.

Here's a sneaky black-white combo: Kokusho, the Evening Star, Blood Artist, pretty anything that deals damage as it dies. Deathrender Enduring Renewal Any sac outlet (Ashnod's Altar is a good choice) Kokusho gets equipped with Deathrender, and then you sacrifice it to your sac outlet. Both Enduring Renewal and Deathrender trigger, put Deathrender on bottom. Enduring Renewal trigger, get Kokusho back in your hand. Deathrender trigger, put Kokusho in play equipped to Deathrender. Repeat until everyone is dead. Obviously, the damage is just the result of the loop, so really you can get infinite of any death trigger you want. Even make it mono-white and just get a Yosei lock on the entire table.

I personally love combing things with Daxos of Meletis. Anything involving him and mana ramp is lovely. Add in the cipher card Hidden Strings, and he's suddenly unblockable and swinging in at whoever he likes. Last session with my playgroup I killed two people with commander damage by turn 6 or so, if I recall.

The Professor tried to hide his shock as he gazed for the first time upon the Instructor's slvette figure in all its Barren Glory. "With a backside like that, he must have a higher toughness than Wall of Denial!", he found himself thinking. He tried to shake the thought out of his head. He had to come up with a better line than that. "Ummm..I'd Tap THAT for White." He finally managed, feeling rather clever despite hisself as his eyes trailed over to the Instructor's massive Isochron Scepter. The Instructor smirked cruelly. "White?" He mocked. "What a goody two shoes color.." he moved in closer, putting his hands on the Professor's shoulders from behind, and breathing into his ear. The Professor felt a shiver run down his spine at the Instructor's next words. "I hope you enjoy Dimir," the Instructor snarled seductively, "Because by the time we are done, you will be Black and Blue."

Also from my Circu deck, Ashiok, Dream Render and Mist of Stagnation is pretty sweet. Mist of Stagnation is only played in 94 decks on edhrec as of one or two days ago.

Hi Professor, can you please review the new Keyforge set when it comes out?

This reminds me of that time I accidentally went infinite on turn 3 in my Korvold deck. It involved turn 1 Viscera Seer, turn 2 Phyrexian Reclamation, turn 3 Dockside Extortionist. My opponents had enough artifact ramp to make 5 mana per drop. A bit conditional, but it went off. Got a good chuckle, and we agreed not to do that that quickly again.

Ulamog the Ceaseless Hunger+Mirror Gallery+Rite of Replication in an Animar Deck. Or really any Eldrazi titan, but Ulamog is the most fun of them to slam. Bonus points if you have a Blade of Selves or a Doubling season.

My favorite sneaky combo is playing something like Heartbeat of Spring because no one wants to get rid of it then using the extra mana to get infinite mana with Palinchron.

I'm a combo player. Never said I'm a good person. Well, that settled, my most efficient combo has always been Mind Over Matter + Temple Bell with a sneaky Ulamog for the reshuffling effect. But my favorite combo of all times, since 1997 when I brewed my first combo deck, is definitely Chronatog with a completely stax'ed board (Stasis, Kismet and all permanents tapped). Oh boy, that was really fun.

Hilariously Brandon Sanderson, the author he plugged near the beginning, is an avid Dimir player. The only time I saw him in person he was even wherein a Dimir shirt!

Narset's Reversal and Demonic Consultation at the end of your opponents' turn is always a cute little trick. Have Demonic Consultation search for Jace, Wielder of Mysteries and return it to your hand with Narset's Reversal. On your turn, cast Jace, recast Demonic Consultation (searching for Wood Elemental, naturally), +1 with Jace, and have fun with your opponents.

I have my favorite mini-combo of sadistic hypnotist and reef worm in my muldrotha discard deck. If the hypnotist is out that's pretty much 4 mana for 6 discard and a 9/9. Do it late game twice in 1 turn for extra fun with muldrotha out.

When you mentioned hive mind, I was just ready for you to mention the pacts, but got this instead. Still strong, but not as evil as forcing everyone out of your colors to flat lose the game. It's even more fun in jeskai though, because there are so many downsides cards in red. In addition, you can also run sundial of the infinite to negate your own downside, either by negating your copy, or by ending your turn on the trigger.

Ok prof. Here is propably a whole episode on Aminatou herself. Aminatou is a 2 card combo with Tezzeret the seeker. Finding Rings of Brightheart, flickering Tezzeret, -3 tezzeret again and copy his ability. Find Basalt Monolith and Sensei's Top and draw your deck. Aminatou also is a 2 card combo with Wishclaw Talisman. Basically letting you tutor the pieces mentioned above. If all fails, there are still Oath of Teferi loops. Combine: Felidar Guardian + Aminatou + Oath of Teferi and any other permanent that draws you a card or mills your opponents. Like Narset, Parter of Veils, Threeferi, Teferi Hero of Dominaria or Ashiok. But I am still not done. If the interactions above also doesnt work, because one of these parts has been exiled. Then you can resort to Corpse Knight, Felidar Guardian and Aminatou. And if you dont have enough, you can use any tutor and Intuition, to find "Lotus Petal, Sun Titan, Stasis" and an Animate Dead to hand. To lock out your opponent in one single turn. The rest of the deck is degenerate stax, so I won't elaborate further on that. But oh boi, trust me, if I tell you: 'This deck is bonkers.' Hit me up if you are interrested in a whole decklist.

Honestly, these were mostly very original. That being said, Teferi's Puzzlebox works the same way with Narset, Parter of Veils. And there are quite a few other combos that weren't even mentioned, which is nice because it leaves some food for thought- people can discover their own favorite synergies to irritate the table. One of mine is Deadeye Navigator and Venser, Shaper Savant with Peregrine Drake. The combo literally protects itself as you go because Venser can pseudo counter spells on the stack before they resolve and bounce lands back to your opponents' hands at the same time. Another variant of this combo is with Vendilion Clique where I can essentially sculpt my hand to be the perfect hand and then force all of my opponents to have nothing but lands in hand. Combine Vendilion Clique with Mistbind Clique and you can also Drain their mana pools at their upkeep steps. If you have Altar of the Brood you just mill everyone out. It's all quite a lot of fun really, and every game can end in a different way.

10/10 would recommend Time Sieve. Have won games with it in my combo deck with it, Sword of the Meek, and Thopter Foundry. Also works with Deadeye Navigator/Eldrazi Displacer + Any arbitrary creature that makes a couple of tokens when it comes in (Myr Battlesphere?).

Just a few of my favorites from my zedruu deck save for the painful quandary example. It happened once in a game and was hilarious though. Eye of the storm + jokulhaups Fractured identity + any( knowledge pool, painful quandary, ankh of mishra) Perplexing chimera + possibility storm Just play scrambleverse or goblin game or warp world Ankh of mishra + overburden

My favorite is mono-green: Life and Limb (all forests and saprolings are saprolings and forests) + Sporemound (landfall: create a saproling token). Infinite land/creature tokens!

My favorite dimir combo is painter's servant + oona + ashnod's alter If you have one more creature in play (which you will, it's oona) the least amount of mana you can have in this point is 6, so you sacrifice the creature to the alter and adding one colored mana to mill for 2, then again for 4, then 8, then 16, 32, 64, adding up to 126 mill, and that is the least amount of mill this combo can do

Mistbind clique + inalla w/ eminence. Drop mistbind clique during opponent's draw step, paying 1 to make a copy. Champion token and tap their lands. Sacrifice token at end step with sac outlet to return mistbind clique into play next turn. Repeat for each opponent.

Fractured Identity on Notion Thief when you have consecrated Sphinx is always a blast.

i dont quite understand the wording of notion thief. does it you get the first card of your draw step and thats it for turn? even if you have extra draws or have to draw more from the puzzle box you only get one?

My favorite commander combo is eldrazi displacer + rasputin dreamweaver. Its simple, effective, and easy to assamble since rasputin can be your commander. It gives infinite colorless mana and flicker, but it does not automaticly wins you the game without another piece.
