Totally agree with Aaron! Told our kids that we didn’t want to move because things were now how we wanted them especially the landscape that was thirty years in the making.
Everything is looking really nice! Glad you are happy with your boxwoods again. What a nice surprise to see Aaron talking about his beautiful trees! He has done a great job with them and applying iron to everything that needs it and the super thrive. Everytime he gets on camera to explain something to us, he does fantastic.
This lady puts more planning into five square feet of her garden than I do into my entire life. I'm not even going to start talking about the work she puts in. Amazing stuff! 😊 I just love the energy! So wholesome and healing.❤ We need more information like this in today's world.
Great update! I loved it that Aaron gave us an update on his beloved trees and how in their third year they've grown dramatically! Years ago, a gardener told me this about perennials - "the first year they sleep, the second year they creep and the third year they leap." It sure seems to have proven itself true in so many of your gardens! Thank you so much for sharing them with us.
🌸Good morning Laura, Aaron and all GA friends. Your gardens are pristine and the updates are so motivating. Enjoy a great garden day everyone. Thinking of all our friends and family in Florida today 🌻🌼💚
Wonderful video. So nice to see how well everything looks. Aaron your trees are looking awesome and your video segment was awesome. You both work so hard and have accomplished so much. It is a joy to watch your channel and you put a smile on my face every time I watch your videos. Have a blessed day everyone
Your garden isn't the only thing that has transformed. I remember when Aaron want to talk behind the camera without a mic and he's giving a presentation on his beautiful trees. Awesome!😃
Mini tour awesome. Your garden is benefiting form all the rain and milder temps. Wow it’s so wonderful to see all the growth. And great job on the trees Aaron they look awesome. Can’t wait to see all the beautiful fall color.
Ok, Aaron jumping on is so freaking fun and made me smile…. The way he talks about the stats of the trees - it’s like he hangs out with Laura a lot or something 😆 More tree updates by Aaron please! 👏🏼👏🏼
It was nice to see Monica and yourself deadheading and sister bonding. And making bruschetta. Speaking of Monica, will we ever get to see how Monica's garden is progressing since the big renovation. Love your show. Viewer from Australia.
SO lovely! From a home with a garden to a home with developing gardens. I think the areas you showed us today reminded me of resort areas. One day it’ll be the Le Boutier Estate. Great work!💗
I would love to see an episode of before and after..just kinda snapshots of how all of the areas inside and out have evolved. Might be a good video for the "down time" of winter ..❤ Love seeing Aaron getting so involved. Hope management and ownership is a labor of love and I think it helps bring people closer together..❤
These botanical terms and lingo are a lot to learn! For example, regarding the Surefire White Begonias I had to add “zero brown crumminess” to my vocabulary notebook. Thanks for how much I’ve learned from you guys! 🤎🤎😂😂 I liked Aaron’s cameo!
Oh gosh what a beautiful update! You both have worked so hard, and Paul and Bethany to overcome all your diagnoses, because gardening us definitely a science!!❤❤ I adored when Aaron jumped in with his proud trees! I love the enthusiasm of you both!❤❤
It’s so fun to hear Aaron talk about his trees! Your garden is so beautiful! Last year I ripped up my whole property for some updates and I can’t wait as things start to grow up. Y’all are a constant inspiration for me. Thank you! ❤
Aaron your trees and grass are beautiful! Laura everything looks so lush, but that row of zinnias is breathtaking! I vote for more rows of zinnias!! My grandma always grew zinnias and I love all the different colors and structure. Thanks for sharing.
Team work makes the Dream work lol. It was great seeing Aaron on Camara and talking about the trees & bonding with them. It does happen with us Gardners lol
Your gift of growing things are amazing. Laura could you do a break down video, like Aaron did on his tree fertalizing, for your plants? That was so helpful Aaron! I'm fighting the same fight with my Silver Maples and Autumn blaze. Plus I just learned about girdling roots!! Have you heard of those? Learn more for the rest of us please.
Great video! I was happy to see that your Boxwoods are bouncing back! On a really scary note, I live in WNY on Lake Ontario. My little town is a "hot spot" for Box Tree Moth and all my boxwoods have been devastated! If you are unaware of what this Moth is/ does, look it up. I was caught completely unaware. My 18 year old boxwoods have been completely eaten, in what seemed like over night. The state has put our county and the 2 counties next to us on quarantine. I am scrambling to see if I can save any of my shrubs. There are some sprays that can be used but very carefully and they are not safe for pollinators ,so I am weighing my options. I have watched a ton of RU-vid videos from gardeners in England, they have been dealing with this moth for 5 years and not with great success. I'm feeling very depressed as I have many boxwoods and we may lose them all.
Loved the interaction with Aaron. So refreshing. No offense honestly Laura you’re awesome. Just cool how he can teach us like you do. I love that he’s bonded with the trees. It’s a green thumb thing. Way to go! Glad you did it. 😘
Love the updates! I would love to see an update on your sister Monica's yard. I loved that project because her yard is similar in size to mine. Love you videos! Thanks!
Surefire white begonias are going in my garden next year, they are gorgeous! Love how Aaron is so excited about his trees. Hope he gets a colorful display this Autumn as a reward for all his TLC!
How fun was this video. Aaron because of you my daughter planted three Autumn Blaze Maples. I love the zinnias. I just lost my patch to some hungry deer. 🥲
Thanks for the info on the maple trees. I’m in eastern Idaho and we have the same high pH soil like you guys do. I’ve got an Autumn Blaze and a Variegated maple, and they’re both doing this weird thing where the new growth is red even though that wasn’t the case for most of the season. I went to a local garden center and talked to a guy there, and he said the red is likely from the high pH soil we have. I have chelated iron already because the Autumn Blaze was getting chlorosis earlier this year and I learned about it from you, so I just gave it (and all our young trees, tbh, because they’re all looking pretty tired at this point) some more iron. Hopefully it helps them! I should also get some of that Tree Tone. I have Evergreen Tone for our one Fat Albert blue spruce, which I gave it in spring, and it like.. exploded with growth right after lol.
Thank you, you guys! I love the updates. Loving your beautiful Coleus! I’m gonna plant some in the Spring. Wicked Witch is my favorite, I think. Aaron the trees look amazing! You are so, on the ball, with treating them and fertilizing them. I can’t wait to see the color on them. The property, overall, is looking fabulous! Thank you, again! Juli in Zone 9, Tucson, AZ. 🌵🌵
I absolutely loved these updates! Aaron's cameo was a nice surprise.😂 I liked his presentation style, it reminded me a bit of Kevin & Jacques from Epic Gardening. 👌
Thanks for the update! I totally understand Aaron's bonding with his trees! We are on 5 acres within city limits of a small town in Western WA - on a river in flood plain - which has not been an issue until the dike broke a couple of years ago. We contemplated moving as we don't want to deal with the possibility of going through another flood but we have been planting trees here for 35 years. The trees are the main reason we are staying! It makes such an oasis as the town has grown and developed around us. The trees did great through the flood - the sequoia bark soaked up the silty water so you can still tell how high the water got. Trees are amazing!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this update. We too, in Missouri have beautiful dark green grass in August!!! The plants are thriving, it has been a great growing year. Laura your love for your plants is contagious. I enjoyed that Aaron shared his love for the trees. Would love to see more of him in upcoming videos. I think next year Benjamin should do an experiment with a plant or vegetable. Maybe plant it three different ways and we can follow his progress with him narrating. Would be so cute ❤
Aaron, you've earned your pride in your trees - they're beautiful! I, too, look forward to seeing how they color up this Fall. And, Laura, I'm so happy the begonias turned out to be a winner. The white flowers almost sparkle in the shade and hope you consider repeating that planting. Perhaps someday there will be enough shade there to warrant another go at a moon garden. Well done, both of you and Paul and Bethany, too! ~ Lisa
I’m so glad a found your channel during Covid and have been able to watch you develop this land 🙌🏻. I can’t believe it has been 3 years since Aaron put in the trees. Definitely placing trees first helps form the backbone of a garden space. Fun video 😊
What a satisfying, happy video on a dreary, rainy day. I'm in central Georgia, and we are experiencing Hurricane Idalia...right now, only rain. Grateful for the rain, though! Y'all are so inspirational. Y'all make me want to branch out and try stuff! I personally love boxwoods...they're across the front of my house. I will be building a new home on family land in the country...hopefully in the next year. My backyard will be a pecan Grove, and the front yard will be dotted with southern pine trees. I'm so excited. I continue to learn from you both. I'll need help for a new yard!
Thumbs up for Aaron! I can't wait to see the new pond patio. Question.. What type of Dewalt blower do you use and would you recommend it? Thanks so much for your inspiring videos!
Everything is s amazing how robust in bloom this time of year and how green. You and Arron are a wonderful team and it was awesome to see him on with his trees!!!❤
Dearest Laura and Aaron, May I suggest you use soluble Potash for all your plants applied at the base and not on the foliage especially at planting. It makes for very strong and healthy plants. Apparently, insects don't have the power to bite into healthy plants. I can hardly deadhead my pansies with my thumb nail. For decades i have only really used a tiny amount just when the buds are forming as recommend on the packaging but I have fairly recently discovered that it is either better to do when planting out the tiniest seedlings as well as applying to non flowering plants to strengthen the plants. I don't use any chemical anything as I get real enjoyment and pleasure knowing that I am feeding all sorts of little critters. But since using the Potash on much more diverse plants, even the slugs and snails are doing a lot less chewing. I do have resident lizards and frogs which also eat the slugs and snails. Just a word of warning.... Earth worms love coffee grinds but they are deadly to frogs. Much love to all x 💜💚🐛🌱🙏😇🇦🇺🕊️😁
Ugh I just love you guys. You have quickly become a part of my work week morning routine. Really look forward to your videos every morning. Everything is looking great!
Hi Laura and Aaron! Since your weather has been not as stifling hot and a whole lot rainier, will you please give us a tour of all the Hostas please and thank you 😊
love how the Boxwood came back. Mine died from Boxwood moth and then it won't regrow at all, i've been swapping them for Ilex Japonica but of course my garden doesn't need 4million of them ;-) ok I'm exaggerating but you know what mean. also zinnias are hard with all the slugs and snails here, but the only annual I still seed now, I prefer perennials, less watering as irrigation isn't really an option, it all looks fabulous over there
This has been an awesome year for you all, weather-wise, projects-wise and everything is looking super beautiful. The Autumn Blazes will be amazing this fall! Well done to both of you!
And a star is born! Look out Laura Here comes Aaron.! Great job Aaron. When those trees get their fall color it would be nice if you gave us that tour Thank you both for starting my mornings off so beautifully and inspiring me to get out in the garden and get busy.
Love these updates! So very delightful to see how you've handled challenges in the garden and reached success through your efforts. It's also truly amazing how much you've accomplished in such a short period of time across your large property. Truly becoming an amazing Garden, Laura and Aaron style. Aaron, do Autumn Blaze trees need dry soil in the fall to achieve brilliant red leaves? Love, love, love how incredible they are looking lined along your lane and grassy area.
Great update! I’m so glad that Aaron did the 3 year update on the trees. Great job Aaron. You’re a natural! I’m looking so forward to seeing them in the Fall. Love the before and after shots of all the areas. Those Zinnias are the bomb!!! What a gorgeous row of prettiness to look at. Did you grow those from seed? I can’t remember.
WOW it's been a while since I got to watch your beautiful garden transform. I was wondering if you still have your two golden cats? Do you have a new darker one who was walking with you during the video?
Everything is coming along sooo nicely. ❤❤Great job Aaron. The trees are looking fabulous. I understand what your saying about the trees. We my be moving in the near future and I’d like to take my trees with us.
Opooo. Aaron! Yeah! Aaron the arborist! Yes...a very welcome addition to Garden Answer. Soon, you can have a Benjamin and Samantha walking us through their favorite spot on the property! Wow! Get the entire family commenting. Just funning with ya, but I enjoyed his input. You both are such a team!
Loved hearing from Aaron! Trees do look great and I can't wait to see the fall color! And I'm already planning on planting a large row of Zinnias in my garden next year. Looking forward to the show.
