Hank Hanegraaff, the host of the Bible Answer Man broadcast, explains that there are 5 reasons why the Pre-Tribulational rapture theory is unbiblical.
The 5 reasons:
1. Not found in the Bible
2. No biblical basis for the 7 year tribulation with Jewish deaths
3. No warrant for a rebuilt temple or reinstituted temple sacrifices
4. No biblical basis for a second chance at salvation after the second coming
5. No basis for "rightly dividing the Word of Truth" meaning figuring out which verses apply to Israel and which to the Church

Hank I love your teaching on the false doctrine of the pre-trib rapture first taught by John Nelson Darby not all that long ago in the 1830s! People need to study church history to find out the truth and cross reference it with Biblical truth like you do and many of us do who study scripture. I totally agree with you on so much stuff the mainline churches have been teaching in error for decades. God bless you Hank and thank you for what you do for the Gospel. ✝️🙏✝️🙏

Hank is saying that there is no secret rapture it is more biblically called the Resurrection at Christs coming not a rapture. There is no Bible to support pretrib rapture. There is a pretrib rapture dear believer but not all those that believe in pretrib will go in pretrib.The Philadelphian saints are the church of BROTHERLY LOVE. The bride wants all saints to be harvested with the barley company at pretrib. The bulk of the church will reject the bridal calling. Believers will go to heaven when they are ready to be harvested. The crop must be ready before it can be harvested. Barley and wheat are both grain companies that are both planted at the same time, in the autumn. Barley matures faster than wheat and is harvested in the spring. BARLEY IS THE BRIDE, and she leaves at pretrib. Wheat is harvested in the summer. Wheat is the great multitude church gathered in Rev 7..... THE VIRGINS WITHOUT NUMBER AKA THE INNUMERABLE COMPANY! The final company, caught up at midtrib, before the open door is shut, are the grapes that are gathered at midtrib. The grapes are the 144,000 Jews. The Jews finally believe Christ is their king because they gleaned the truth from the Barley and wheat companies.

The rapture will be at the last trumpet. (like it is written in scriptures below) (before the 7 bowls of the wrath of God) Revelation 10 -7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the MYSTERY of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. 1 Corinthians 15 -51 Behold, I shew you a MYSTERY; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed -52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMP: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Thessalonians 4 -16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the TRUMPET of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise -17 After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

A very weak argument and it applies to all Rapture views, because the destruction of the wicked comes at His wrath after the GT at His 2nd coming, not before. The Greek word from this term “rapture” is derived appears in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, translated “caught up.” The Latin translation of this verse used the word rapturo. The Greek word it translates is harpazo, which means to "snatch or take away".

@@granthodges3012 'caught up' from Thessalonians 4.17 does not translate to 'rapture'. To 'rapture' is to break off from something not to get caught up. Different meanings entirely. When you stretch the meaning of 'caught up' to incorporate 'rupture' you risk breaking the semantics involved. Punn intended.
@granthodges3012
@granthodges3012 3 дня назад
@@oneoctavelow Understanding the Bible begins with the Greek text, in this context, the Greek word harpadzo. In Liddell and Scott, p. 245, the classic Greek Lexicon, the hardback version, which I am lucky to own, on p. 245 begins the long entry on harpadzo. The first three meanings in order are: 1. snatch away, carry off. 2 seize hastily, snatch up. 3. Seize, overpower, over master. The next two entries are variations on No. 3. So the Latin translations used the future passive of the Latin "rapio", to translate harpadzo, which is how it came in to English. The Latin lexical form is "rapiemur", "to seize, snatch, or carry away", pretty much a one to one translation. This is how "the Rapture" came into our English speech about I Thessalonians 4:17. This is first year Greek lore. So I am certain you didn't look this up in a Greek lexicon. And you certainly are totally wrong as is whoever told you your story above. So . . . . your punishment . . . :) . . . is . . . Read Romans 11 aloud slowly and each time you come to the word Israel or a pronoun that refers back to Israel, you must say "The Church" with gusto! Listen carefully to yourself and how what you are reading doesn't make any sense, and realize that All the nation of Israel WILL BE SAVED! Isn't that wonderful?!

"YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUIT." In my humble experience, there is much pride found in those coming against rapture. They often call names and get very angry. They insist those who believe in the pre tribulation rapture think they are better than others and stupid to think they can get into heaven without dying for Christ. They create fear and confusion. The truth is, millions have been saved throughout history without dying a horrible death for Christ. Why some had to, is for the Living God Jesus to decide. "What's it to you if I want him kept alive until I come back?" The truth is the saved Christian can and does suffer each day on this wicked dying planet. The truth is true belief Jesus Christ crucified and risen is more than enough to be saved. It is the ONLY requirement. The idea you must suffer and die for your salvation is blatantly blasphemous. Period. For all their anger and insistence they are right and we all must die to be worthy, the TRUTH of Jesus Christ and HIS Worthyness stands. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

@toddott633 2 года назад
@@brettkrueger9464 I've studied the Bible daily for over thirty years and found that these things are not true. There is no hint whatsoever of any of the variations of Dispensationalism as they are taught. There are of course two dispensations recorded in the Bible, the old and the new. The word "dispensation" comes from the Greek "oikonomos" which means, literally, "law of the house." In the beginning, God created man in His image and dwelt with him in Eden. Under the Old Covenant, God's "house" became the Temple. It was were His glory dwelt, for a time. Moses was the steward of that House and "dispensed" the law to the people. In the fulness of time, Jesus became the true Temple, the dwelling place of God. It was in Him that the glory and the fulness of the godhead dwelt. After Jesus death and resurrection, He ascended to the right hand of the Father. From there He sent His Spirit, and those who believe become Living Stones in the Temple of Christ's Body, filled with all the fulness of God, and changed from glory to glory into His image. Paul is the steward of God's New Testament House, dispensing the Law of Christ to God's people. It's as simple as that. The Church is pictured as a holy City, a Bride made up of walls with the names of the twelve apostles, and gates with the names of the twelve tribes. Apart from the Church, Israel after the flesh has no inheritance. God does not have two peoples, an earthly Israel and a heavenly Church. God and the Lamb dwell in the midst of the Holy City, the HEAVENLY Jerusalem, a people crucified with Christ and raised up, seated with Him in heavenly places. God's Kingdom is not of this world. If it were, His servants would fight to bring it to pass. The writer of Hebrews tells us, "...You have come to Mount Zion...the church of the Firstborn whose names are written in heaven..." Read the rest of Paul and you will find that God's ETERNAL PURPOSE from the foundation of the world is to bring all things in heaven and earth and under the earth, together IN CHRIST. It is not to separate the earthly and the heavenly as Dispensationalist claim. The Church is the fulfillment, or culmination of the ages (I Corinthians 10), the fulfillment of all the types and shadows of the Old Testament, for "the Testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." I grew up a Dispensationalist, believing in a Pretrib rapture. I had all the books and DVDs and tapes and charts and understood it all. I listened to all of the TV preachers, Lindsey, Stone, VanImpe, Walvoord, etc. Then I began studying the Bible and found none of these things they taught. In Dispensationalism, passages as wrested out of context, words and terms and definition are conflated, a priori assumptions are made and the literal hermeneutic that Dispensationalists claim to use consistently, is only used when a passage seems to support their theory. Those that contradict their theory are conveniently place in the "for Israel" category. Great tribulation becomes the wrath of God, even though it is the antichrist who perpetuates this great tribulation after the placing of the abomination. John is said to represent the Church in Revelation 4 when he is purported to be raptured, but then for some unknown reason, when he is taken into the wilderness he ceases to be the Church. Paul, quoting Isaiah, tells us that "though they be like the sands of the seashore, only a remnant will be saved. Later He tells us that "in this manner, all Israel will be saved." Logic tells of that "all Israel" and the "remnant" must be describing the same group of people. He also tells us that that remnant was being saved in His day, just as the remnant was being saved in Elijah's day. And that remnant will continue to be saved until the fullness of the Gentile is come into that remnant of Israel, the Olive Tree. (The implication of God's people being an Olive Tree is that they are filled with olive oil, a symbol of the Holy Spirit.) Under the Old Covenant, God's chosen people consisted of an earthly kingdom. Under the New Covenant, His people consist of a remnant of faith OUT OF the earthly nation, NOT the entire nation. The Kingdom was taken away from Israel a given to a people (the remnant of Israel) who would bear the fruit of the Kingdom. Under the Law, there is no fruit, for the Law brings wrath, and a curse. With the coming of the Spirit, a believing remnant of Israel was born again and became fruitful. It is this faithful and fruitful Israel that Gentiles are grafted into, and those unbelieving branches of Israel that were broken off because of unbelief, in order to be saved, can only be saved by receiving the Spirit through faith. Of course, this Spirit is the same Spirit that Dispensationalist say is removed with the Church at the rapture. And somehow, void of the Spirit, 144,000 Jewish "evangelists?" (something never indicated in the text) will bear the fruit of salvation, bringing a multitude into the Kingdom (a different Kingdom that the one Christ rules over, which is not of this world.) Anyway, Dispensationalism is a complex web of deceit and sleight of hand, and that is why it is so hard to disprove. It takes years of study to unravel the complex web of lies.

The first chapters of Revelation exhort the churches to overcome. How did Jesus overcome? By submitting to death. Therefore God exalted Him and gave Him the Name that is above every other name. Pretribbers believer they will be exalted without even having to overcome anything. But what are those things that the Spirit is urging the churches to overcome? The very things that are revealed in the rest of Revelation. The NT tells us to consider it pure joy when we face trials of many kinds, knowing that the testing of our faith develops perseverance, and perseverance makes us mature and perfects our faith. Paul urged us to rejoice in suffering and to be patient in tribulation, and he longed to fill up in his flesh the sufferings of Christ, being made like Him in His death, so as to somehow attain to the resurrection of the dead. We are told over and over against to watch and pray. Pretribbers think this means to watch for the rapture. But that is not the meaning. It means to watch, be on guard, be careful, lest we fall into temptation and deception. Jesus, during His hour of temptation in Gethsemane, urged the disciple to watch and pray. When they had fallen asleep, He asked, Could you not watch for one hour? This is a type of the hour of temptation in Revelation. Like Peter, many will be caught unaware and will fall away like the seed sown on throne ground. When trouble and persecution come, because they have no root, they will quickly wither. Unfortunately, they will not heed any of the warnings because they believe that they are for Israel and not the Church. They have been deceived by the false doctrine called Dispensationalism.

God is not going to force anyone to adhere to the doctrine of imminence, very often through scripture we are told time and time again "watch and wait," "watch and wait" it's very important. But if God planned for you to go through the tribulation why would he tell you to "watch and wait"? There would be nothing to watch and wait for, nothing you could do anyway, you would just arrive at the culmination point, where all things had run their course. There would be absolutely no need to "watch and wait." He would have said just hang on. He provides a way of escape. Watch and wait, he appears the second time only to those who are watching and waiting. Hebrews 9:28. He also says "pray you are worthy to escape." Pre wrath is most definitely the biblical view. I’m baffled how this video seemed to be completely debunking by pre trib by saying there is no tribulation at all. There will without a doubt be a final tribulation and the church is here for it. How he can think 70AD can fit anything in revelation is baffling. Jesus said everything in the psalms, prophets and law of Moses MUST be fulfilled. If that’s the case there HAS to be a 3rd temple and there has to be a milleniel reign. And how can he claim nobody repents on his arrival when Joel 2 says that many do and he relents. So many people don’t read the Old Testament.

@@kingsolomon3175 There simply is no such thing as pre-wrath in the Bible, only 'the wrath of God'. And this wrath of God came upon His Lamb on the cross. IT IS FINISHED! Also there is NO rapture, although the word appears in the Bible. Matt 5:5 The book of Revelation was fulfilled at the cross of Jesus. 70 AD. Also it was written for the people of Israel only, not for us living after the cross. Yes, Jesus did say everything written in the Psalms, prophets & law was appointed on Him, but that was brought into fulfilling at the cross. 'For the Christ is the END of the law. And because of Him, God HAS transferred His perfect righteousness to all who BELIEVE'. Rom 10:4 No, there simply is NO 3rd temple to be built any place on earth, as wé are His holy temple, His sanctuary, His dwelling place! Christ is living in and thru us. Col 1:26-27.. and from out thís holy temple He will soon manifest His final appearances as 1Thes 4:13-18 have it! (we symbolic are the clouds). Repent on His arrival ?? Definitely no, as this is what we are looking to, His final appearances! What is there to repent of if Jesus already has dealt with the sin of the world with the promise never to think of that ever again?? John 1:29 + 3:16,17 Hebr 8:12 + 10:17 No my brother in Christ, we are the righteousness* of God in Christ. (as if we've never sinned). This is the gift of the Father. How precious. *5 REASONS WHY YOU WILL GO TO HELL BECAUSE OF THIS VIDEO:* 1) *Because of your UNBELIEF.* The same sort of UNBELIEF IN GOD"S DELIVERING POWER that saw Israel not allowed into the Promised Land. That you your fate, as Hebrews 3-4 show, as it clearly shows you will be LEFT {OUT} OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN FOR THAT SAME {UNBELIEF} IN GOD'S DELIVERING POWER, which is His Rapture. You will share the same fate as Israel. But yours is worst. You will not be left out of a physical land, but spiriutal paradise. .... and don't lie to yourself about being "Christian" or "believing in Jesus" or "covered under His blood." ISRAEL was the "seed of promised" and "believed in Yahweh" more than you, and were "covered under the blood of the Passover Lamb and the sacrifices." Didn't save them. Wont save you, Gentile! 2) *Because Amos alrady condemns you," speaking a 'woe' against all who desire to see the Day of the Lord. No one escape a woe. No one. 3) *Because you SIN AGINST GOD!* You would have been better off being a murder, or rapist, or homosexual. Those things are just 'sin,' but all who SIN {{AGAINST}} GOD will be blot out of His Book, as God clearly told Moses. That is the product of your UNBELIEF. You are offensive. You sin directly against God's very Character. -calling Him weak -calling Him unfaithful -calling Him unjust -accusing Him of being an abusive husband -saying He will send DEMONS (locusts) upon His entire Church for 5 months! -spitting on the testimony of Abraham -spitting on the testimony of Job -mocking His deliverance of Lot who was "snatched away" -mocking the deliverance of Noah who was "lifted up" JUST. LIKE. ISREAL! Your unbelief is taking personally by Him, because it is OFFENSIVE to His Character and is SIN against Him! 4) Because you evil hypocrites distort every Scripture you touch, especially Matthew 24 and I Thess 4 ... not even knowing that Matthew 24 is a TWO FOLD QUESTION with TWO answers -Matthew 24v5-14: end time signs that the terminal generation Church looks for that lead up to the *RAPTURE* -Matthew 24v15-31: all things Jewish, and Jesus clearly has shifted His attention from the Church to the Jews who will be left behind! events that lead up to the *SECOND COMING!* Yeah ... you are that easily disproven. You distort many Scriptures, and as Peter say, to your own damnation! 5) Becuase, assuming you are a Post-Tribber, the EVIL SERVANT at the end of Matthew 24 has all 4 characteristics of a Post Tribber ... and it ends with you in Hellfire. Jesus even rightfully uses the word "hypocrite" instead of "sinner" ... cause you ARE fake Christians. Sinners against God's very character. Distorters of His Word. UNBELIEVERS> And what is the polar opposite of FAITH? *UNBELIEF!* 5 reasons why you are doomed. Now, you wanna go 5 more reasons!?

In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) 5 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Rom. 5:1-4). 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2) 12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters. 16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. (1 Peter 4:12-16). 1 Thessalonians 5:8-9 never tells us that we are going to be taken out of the fight before the fight gets going, but we put on the armor and we are not destined to wrath.

One day, messiah will arrive in Jerusalem. He will sit in the throne of David at the newly constructed temple. He will establish world peace, beginning with a covenant between the Middle Eastern nations. The chosen people of God will bow before him and Christians will follow suit. While the world basks in the glory of Christ, a light will shine in the East. The true Christ Jesus will return and the nations will mourn. They will cry for the rocks to fall on them, but death will flee from them. Why? Because when Jesus returns we will be all be changed “in the twinkling of an eye” into our spiritual bodies. The only death then will be at the white throne judgement for those not found written in The Lamb’s Book of Life. 1. The Greek says watch and pray that you may have the strength (to overcome), to escape. There is an escape from and out of trial, God makes a way of escape out of trouble (Ps 124:7+8; 2.Peter 2:9). The context says we will see all these things (Mat 24:15+33). The FIRST RESURRECTION is the first (proton) of two resurrections, the next is 1000 years later, not 1007 (Rev 20:4-6). The First fruits are the first of a harvest of 3 resurrections with a changed body, afterwards ALL believers in Christ, dead and alive at His parousia = advent, that is after the GT (Mat 24:29-31)and includes the Saints of the Tribulation. There is no resurrection nor a coming of Christ before the last 7 years! Not in the bible. Then comes the end, the last resurrection of the just and unjust after the Millennium. You make the First Resurrection to the second, the Greek word protos is always the first of the following ones, it does not go backwards. In Rev 20:4-6 it is the first of the believers in Christ, the First-fruits are OT saints. 4. Your problem with Mat 24:29-31 is you cannot see, that Jesus does not come to the earth and lands on the mount of Olives, He comes in the clouds and gathers His elect, which are NT believers (1.Peter 1:2}, not surviving Jews. The Jews and the nations come to Jerusalem in the Millennium (Jesus sits on the throne, to judge the nations) after His coming in the air. The gathering through the angels is the harvest (Mat 13:30:39+49), not the coming of the Jews to Jerusalem. The gathering of Mat 24:31 is the same as 2. Thess 2:1 unto Him, Who is in the air. The Jews are brought by Gentiles in earthly vessels (Isa 66:20; 14:2; 49:22), God makes a highway for them (Isa 11:15+16).

@@danieltait5115 I made mention of the Greek language not being the language which is the holy scriptures. The language in the book of the LORD is known as Hebrew. All the words in the book of the LORD are pure words and even the one and only word which is known to be Greek (Apollyon) is a pure word. Revelation 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. The Lord declared all 66 books of the LORD in one pure language from the beginning when he pronounced every letter of every pure word with his lips in the Hebrew tongue: Psalm 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Isaiah 46:9-10 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, [10] Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Genesis 11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. Psalm 33:11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Acts 26:14-16 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. [15] And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. [16] But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; (The Jews did not have advantage by the Lord giving his words to the Jew's in an alien Gentile Greek language: Acts 22:1-3 Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you. [2] (And when they heard that he spake in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he saith,) [3] I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day. Romans 3:1-4 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? [2] Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. [3] For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? [4] God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. Psalm 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Psalm 119:128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way. (the question is: what is the true Hebrew tongue which the whole earth spake before Babel and which is likened to the language in the generation of the Lord's return?). There is no other book likened to a particular book men call (the King James Bible) having all the required mate lines which prove it to be perfect. All other books when examined and the spirits are tried are found to condemn themselves.

Totally agree. Christ showed me when I was 16 years old the end times and tribulation. I saw pastors cursing God's name, being attacked/blamed by their congregation for preaching pre-trib rapture. Bro Sadhu Sundar also said he used to preach pre-trib rapture but Jesus lead him to verses and corrected him. Also check out FAI's 4 reasons we don't believe in pre-trib rapture. I do not believe in pre-tribulation rapture and it's never mentioned in the Bible. We’re told that we will be persecuted and we must stand firm unto death in out believe in Christ and to overcome the devil so that we can receive the crown of life. We’re told not to accept the mark of the beast or worship him so why would we have to refuse if we’re raptured before that happens? The Bible also says that Christ won't return until the "Falling Away" happens first and Jesus asks, "will I really find faith on the earth in those days?" So if the falling away happens and there's no faith, who will be left to suddenly be raptured? Christ also said the dead in Christ would be raised first and then the living in Christ would be raised. If you read the Bible and note down the chain of events, you'll see that the rapture of the dead and then the living doesn't happen until well into the Tribulation and after true Christians suffer through persecution, deny satan's mark of the beast and be put in jail from refusing satan. What Christians will keep their faith if they lose everything and are put in jail? When tribulation truly comes and God's wrath begins to pour out, there will be major nation wide disasters such as CA earthquake and World War III will break out. This will cause the current Christians that didn't get raptured before tribulation to blame God and attack their pastors for lying to them about being raptured before suffering and they’ll all curse God’s name. This is the great falling away. If you read Revelation and get a notepad to note down the chain of events, you'll see when the rapture actually happens. Show me one verse using the Bible where it states that believers in Christ will be raptured before Tribulation. Even God's people had to trust God and be delivered out of pharaoh's hands while God destroyed him. Even the two witnesses will be killed in the street before we're raptured and they'll be resurrected to life after three and a half days causing great fear upon those that see it. Here's proof that there's no rapture until after the Falling Away and the Antichrist claims to be God and causes all to receive his mark: 2 Thessalonians 2 2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Proof that there won't be any faith in the earth by then: "I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?" - Luke 18:8 Proof that we will go through Tribulation and be persecuted for believing in Christ: Matthew 10:17 "But beware of men, for they will hand you over to the courts and scourge you in their synagogues;" Matthew 24:9 “Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. Luke 21:12 “But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for My name’s sake." John 15:20 "Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also." John 16:2 "They will make you outcasts from the synagogue, but an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God." 2 Timothy 3:12 "Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted." Revelation 2:10 "Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life." Revelation 3:5 5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore, comfort one another with these words.

Your "proof texts" totally scramble passages as you apply them incorrectly. You use Mat 10:17... in Mat 10 Jesus instructs His disciples to NOT GO into the way of the Gentiles but to go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And of course, in the passage people have to "endure to the end to be saved." But you would have people believe the church is being discussed. No, as Jesus said, it's the lost sheep of the house of ISRAEL Who will be witnesses to ISRAEL during the great tribulation? The 144,000 JEWS from the 12 tribes of Israel witnessing to other Jews. The tribulation witnesses are comprised of 144,000 male Jewish virgins, NOT the church. You mention Rev 2:10 where the Christians have to deal with tribulation for TEN DAYS. That isn't the great tribulation. You mention other Rev verses - but they are all PRIOR to the beginning of the great tribulation - they have nothing to do with it. In John 4 John is caught up to the third heaven - picturing the rapture of the church - and during the great tribulation in Revelation the church isn't even mentioned. The church is mentioned again in Rev 19 AFTER the great tribulation is over. You mention John 16:2. Christians don't go to synagogues, JEWS go to synagogues. Christians attend local CHURCHES. You use Mat 24 - and here we see again the requirement to endure to the end to be saved - it's not about the church. And in many cases, you cite verses that mention persecution - as if the term was synonymous with the time of great tribulation, which is the time of Jacob's trouble. Persecution =/= great tribulation. Christians have been persecuted since day one and they will continue to be persecuted. This ongoing persecution of individual Christians throughout the centuries has absolutely nothing to do with God pouring out wrath on Israel during the time of Jacob's trouble.

No. He is talking in context about the wrath poured out on the wicked, who experience the Day of the Lord as a thief (see the context of 1 Thess. 5:1-3). Or do you want 5 reasons why there IS a Pre-Tribulation Rapture (I won't even include Matthew 24, cause I just explained it by refuting the ignorance about it)?

Part 1 - I will have to post this in two posts due to length. I apologize for that, but if we want to seek truth, we must be thorough in reconciling all of God's Word. “In religion, as in war and everything else, comfort is the one thing you cannot get by looking for it. If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end: if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth-only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin with and, in the end, despair.” C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity Truth = facts. The rapture is right where Paul, as a prophet, said it would be. He painted a neon sign and said, “Here it is,” and yet we still miss it. It is at the last trumpet, the seventh trumpet, right where he said it would be. For truth, let’s look at the facts. 1) The seven year period of time is never referred to in Scripture as “the tribulation.” Never. That is an appellation that has been applied by pre-tribbers to equate tribulation with God’s wrath. The Bible refers to it in the Book of Daniel as the 70th week out of 70 weeks. (A week being a seven year period). The only use of the word tribulation to this time is when Christ referred to a period of time during the second half of the 70th week, beginning with the abomination of desolation as the great tribulation. And He also says that this time of great tribulation will be cut short. How is the great tribulation cut short? The wholesale killing of those who will not take the mark will stop before the 1260 days are over, so that some of the elect will remain alive. The reign of the antichrist will continue, however. It will be shown what causes this stopping of killing. As will be seen, this allows for the trumpets to occur during the rest of that time. 2) Tribulation and wrath are not synonymous. Tribulation is the word “thlipsis” and means persecution. We ARE appointed to tribulation. John 16:33, Acts 14:22. The House of God (Christians) must undergo a fiery trial before the appearance of Christ. 1 Peter 4:12-13,17 “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the FIERY TRIAL (“peirasmon” a putting to the proof) which is to TRY YOU (put you to the proof) as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, WHEN HIS GLORY SHALL BE REVEALED, (at the Second Coming) ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. For the time is come that JUDGMENT MUST BEGIN AT THE HOUSE OF GOD: and if it FIRST BEGIN AT US, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” God punished and tried Israel for their apostasy. He will also do so to the apostate church. (2Thess. 2:3 there will be a falling away [“apostasia”] from God’s truth) and Dan. 11:35 (purging). God will not persecute His enemies, He will simply destroy them, but His enemies have and always will persecute God’s children. Wrath on the other hand are the words “orge” or “thumos” and mean violent passion or an outburst of passionate wrath. We are not appointed to God’s wrath, but we are to expect Satan’s persecution. God tells us that the saints (in the New Testament, Christians are the saints) will be given over to the beast. Dan. 7:25, Rev. 13:7. Non Christians are not dying during the great trib. They have taken the mark and are fine. This is not God's wrath. The 5th seal is not God’s wrath, for the only ones dying are Christians and the martyrs ask God when He will begin to pour out His vengeance or wrath. He replies that they must wait first for the rest of the Christians who must be martyred as they were. The people on the sea of glass that come out of the great tribulation are those martyrs. Rev. 7:14. It is the worst holocaust in the history of the world. Dan. 12:1. They are the overcomers, those who obey God’s commandments and have the testimony of Jesus, who did not love their lives unto death, that Satan goes after. Rev. 12:11,17. Six out of the seven churches in Revelation are not promised protection. They are told to be overcomers. Only a remnant of the church of Philadephians who have kept the word of God's patience qualify to be protected and eventually raptured. They are kept from the "temptation" which means to be “put to the proof”. God is putting us to the proof by giving us a time of testing for the sake of purging the apostate church. Dan. 11:35. 3) The Day of the Lord is another name for God’s wrath. Joel and Acts tell us that there is a very specific sign that will occur BEFORE the Day of the Lord, or God’s wrath can begin, to warn us it is coming. “And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE that great and notable day of the Lord come.” These very unique signs (both the sun and moon go dark - moon turns red) occur at the same time. This describes a double eclipse which can only occur due to an outside celestial body that has come between the sun and the moon and earth, creating eclipses of both the sun and the moon simultaneously. This sign is said to occur BEFORE the Day of the Lord. It is an omen of the coming wrath of God. How far in advance it comes is not stated in Scripture. 4) This particular sign of the double eclipse is seen in Seal 6 of Revelation. In fact at that time, people recognize and shout for fear that the Day of the Lord is coming, because these signs herald its approach. This is not a statement from heaven that the Day of the Lord has begun, because Christ’s coming initiates the Day of the Lord, and He does not return until the end of the 70th week. It is a warning, though, that God’s wrath is definitely on its way. So God’s wrath does not include the seals. 5) In Matthew 24:29, Christ puts these same celestial signs after the great tribulation is cut short, putting God’s wrath after the great tribulation is over. Hence God’s wrath does not begin until after the great tribulation. 6) We are not appointed to wrath. 1 Thess. 5:9. As God’s wrath cannot begin until after these celestial signs, there is no reason to remove Christians before God’s wrath begins, for we are not exempt from persecution and martyrdom. Therefore we will be here through the great tribulation. Well, those who are alive and remain will be. The rest will be killed. 7) Paul gave the exact sequence of events in 2 Thess. 2:1-4. “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, (2nd Coming) AND (meaning they are together and in order) by OUR GATHERING TOGETHER UNTO HIM, (resurrection/rapture). [note the chronological order] That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ (also known as the Day of the Lord, but from a Christian’s point of view instead of the wicked’s point of view) is at hand. [This couples all three events together as happening at the same time. Christ’s Second Coming, the rapture followed by the Day of the Lord]. LET NO MAN DECEIVE YOU (pre-tribbers have allowed themselves to be deceived even with this warning and the laying out of the chronology) by any means: for that day (What day? The Day of the Lord wherein Christ returns and resurrects/raptures the saints) shall not come, EXCEPT there come a falling away (apostasia - Gr. Meaning departure from the truth, not departure from a location) FIRST, (before any of the other stuff can happen) and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, (this is the abomination of desolation) shewing himself that he is God.” These verses were telling them that the Day of the Lord wherein Christ returns and raptures them could not be yet, for before that happens, there must be an apostasy in the Church and the antichrist declare himself to be God. This is clear and straightforward. Why do people distort it? 8) Christ must remain in heaven at the right hand of God until His foes are made His footstool. Acts 2:34-35. As long as Satan and the beast reign, His foes are not His footstool. They have 42 months from the abomination. Rev. 13:5. 9) Christ must remain in heaven until the restitution of all things (including the kingdoms of God being given to Christ). Acts. 3:21. As long as Satan is the prince and power of this world, there is no restitution. Satan has until the end of Daniel's 70th week. Christ cannot return until then. 10) Christ destroys the antichrist with the brightness of His coming. Thess. 2:8. That is His Second Coming at the end of the forty-two months. If Christ’s appearance destroys the reign of the antichrist, and the kingdoms of the world are restored to Christ’s control, it can only happen after the antichrist’s reign of 42 months, not before. Christ cannot return until the end of Daniel's 70th week. He cannot return before then, for His coming destroys the beast.

Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. Rev 4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. Those are the pre-trib rapture verses, which if you look at it in its context the only one who goes up is John and he does that in the Spirit, his body is still on the Isle of Patmos. The Book of Rev comes with two very stern warnings. Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. By saying that Rev 4:1-2 is the rapture of the church when it does not say any such thing, places those who make that claim under the penalty of Rev 22:18-19 The jw's do the same thing with the Book of Revelation, they claim their top people are the 144,000 and by doing so also place themselves under those two penalties. And there are those who will stubbornly defend Rev 4:1-2 as the rapture, 1Sa 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. Psa 78:8 And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God. The cultists will defend their cults, the Mormons, the sda's, and the jw's all defending their dogmas, that is the power of a leader in a church when the people have no reason to think anything is amiss and they drink the false gospel kool-aid as if it was the gospel truth. that is why we are to do our own due diligence!!! Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. 1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 1Co 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 2Co 13:6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates. Php 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 1Th 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2Ti 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. 2Ti 2:17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 2Ti 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 2Pe 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: We have the availability of the Holy Ghost to guide us into ALL TRUTH, and being guided into all truth so that anything we hold that is not of the truth will be exposed by the Truth that the Holy Ghost will guide us into. Truth Act 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1Co 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

@@judylloyd7901 In neither I Thessalonians 1:10 nor 5:9 is there any mention of "the tribulation." The "wrath" that Paul is taking about is in contrast to salvation. He is specifically talking about the Day of the Lord (5:2) which comes as a thief in the night. This is Jesus' Second Coming, NOT an event seven years prior to that. According to Joel and Isaiah, the Day of the Lord happens AFTER the darkening of the sun, moon and stars. And according to Jesus, the darkening of the sun, moon and stars happens AFTER "the tribulation of those days." In other words, the order of events is this: 1) the tribulation of those days, THEN 2) the darkening of the sun, moon and stars, THEN 3) the Day of the Lord, which comes suddenly, without warning, and ends in the destruction of the wicked. (Prior to this time, unbelievers, who live in darkness, will be eating and drinking, and marrying and being given in marriage, just as in the days of Noah, unaware of the events which will soon come. Believers however are not in darkness that that day should overtake them. Jesus tells us in Luke's gospel, "WHEN you see these things, look up for your redemption draws near. ("These things" are signs in the sun, moon and stars, distress of nations, men's hearts failing for fear, the shaking of the powers of heavens). There is no such thing as an "imminent" rapture that can happen at any time. What the Bible teaches is ONE coming that will take unbelievers by surprise. They will not be looking for the signs and will be caught by surprise. When we are told to "watch," it is not talking about watching for a rapture. It means that we are to be on guard, to be diligent, lest we fall into temptation and deception. Dispensationalist love to twist the meaning of Scripture to suit their own agenda. (e.g. by conflating the terms "wrath" and "tribulation," changing the meaning of words such as "apostasy" and "watch." Not only that but Paul tells us that "now is the time for judgment for the people of God, and even now"the wrath of God is being revealed from heaven." God's wrath and His judgements have been poured out from the beginning. God's judgments are for the purpose of repentance, but there will come a time when men no longer repent, and it is then that God will pour out His unmitigated wrath on the wicked. So, no we are not appointed to wrath, but we are appointed to tribulation, even GREAT tribulation. The great tribulation is not "great" because of its intensity, but because of its extent. Persecution and martyrdom in the past has been intermittent and sporadic. In the future it will be continuous and worldwide. Even now we can see the rage building up, and soon it will be directed to God's people. But as Jesus says, though we be killed, not a hair on our heads will perish.

@@judylloyd7901 The wrath of God came on His Lamb some 2,000 yrs ago. IT IS FINISHED! Revelation was written for the people of Israel, not for us living after the cross. The message of reconciliation was given to us, not a message which confuse believers or put fear for the unknown in their hearts. We who believe in the Son of God, we know without any doubt that the Father loves all of us and that no harm will ever be done unto us. The best advice is to come away from the book of Revelation and Teachers on this book, as 100 teachers will all have their own understanding. Read the love letters that the Spirit of God has written to us.. John, Ephesians, Colossians etc etc and pay good attention to yr quite time with the Lord Jesus. Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it.

What matters the most for born-again Christians, is that we need to be spreading the word of Christ Jesus which are the gospels. When we focus on the “rapture “, we are not focusing on building Christ Jesus’ Church, we focus on puffing our sinful flesh, and divide Christ’s Church instead. This is not meant to be for Gods Heavenly Children. Remember John 14:18 [18] “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Revelation 22:20-21 [20] He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! [21] The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.

@@colindavis1496 We know from Jesus Himself that the great tribulation is coming, but not when. I believe the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth after that period is well established in scripture. So, whether the church is raptured before or mid tribulation is important, but not crucial to a saved member of His church today. It makes little sense to me that a "post" tribulation rapture would be correct. We (His Bride) will reign with Christ on earth for that thousand years, not spend eternity in heaven OFF the earth, as some anti rapturists argue. The Old Testament is full of types and pictures of various sorts. Enoch's rapture (translation) into heaven is well established, and it took place before the flood of Noah destroyed the earth ( a type of the tribulation). Also, the church of Christ is HIs bride. In Jewish culture of the day, once betrothed (legally married at that time), the groom and bride remained apart for an extended period. Then the Husband would return and take His wife back, followed by the wedding feast. There are some answers to this gentleman's objections to the rapture doctrine, but I am not a scholar by any stretch. I am confident in a pre tribulation rapture of the church, and all we can do is remain faithful until our Lord returns, in whatever way that is manifested. God Bless

I've watched several of this guys videos and answers. I did that in spite of the opening slogan that plays in his videos, which reads, "Truth Matters, Life Matters More". After listening to him with an open mind, I've come to the conclusion that I should have listened to my gut when that phrase first appeared ("Truth Matters, Life Matters More"). First of all, The Truth is a name for Jesus. Nothing matters more than the Truth. In fact, we are rewarded for holding onto the truth even if it means we lose our life. He may be well-meaning, but after hearing many of his replies, some of which border on being anti-biblical, I've come to the conclusion this man does not have the Holy Spirit guiding him. And on a personal level, as someone who owns a business which produces media that reconciles events in the world with events described in the Bible, I couldn't imagine introducing that work with a slogan that defies the most basic, core message of the entire book. It's good to hear differing opinions, along with reading yourself, praying and letting the Holy Spirit guide you toward the Truth, but in this case, since the Prepared Believers are waiting for him at ANY moment, and God uses the metaphor of a Hebrew wedding with Devout Believers as The Bride of Christ, ask yourself, What kind of husband would let his Bride suffer horribly just before marrying her? Remember, half the virgins missed the wedding feast because they weren't ready with their lampstand oil. The other half attended the marriage supper. It stands to reason that that some Christians who are TOTALLY ready for His return will be raptured out, and lukewarm ones will miss that opportunity, but still be able to enjoy the marriage (heaven). I (personally) don't believe the unprepared virgins (lukewarm Christians) are cast to hell. I simply believe they missed the "first bus" so to speak. Lastly, anyone that speaks of this particular topic with rigid certainty, unsettles me, because many passages discussing this event conflict with each other, which implies there is more than one rapture. I believe Some will make it on the "first bus." And those who aren't expecting Him at any moment will still have a chance to go, but, at a later point, which could be the argument for a Mid-trib rapture and/or the very last wave who were saved DURING the GREAT Tribulation (last 3.5 years) and refused to take the Mark of the Beast. In other words, consider the possibility there are 2-3 raptures, not one. When you look at the full weight of the text in this way, the conflicts between "Pre, Mid & Post-trib" raptures fade away, and instead become harmonious. With that said, I'm rooting to be on the first bus outta here, whenever that is!

Here's the first resurrection: Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. At the harvest: Matt 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into My barn.

Hey! I don’t know you but, I love everything you wrote and would really love to discuss this with you. Personally, I have not yet seen one mid trib or post trib argument that makes sense. To me, any other timeline would deny the imminency of the rapture. If it’s post there’s no point at all. We go up just to come back down and rule for 1,000 years, that’s silly. If it’s mid then we can literally calculate it, WE WILL ALL BE READY there’d be no surprise . Thus making the parable of the virgins useless . Something that’s been on my mind lately , is will Luke warm , sleeping Christians OR the ones who are so desperate to prove their bravado with a midtrib rapture, would they be left behind ? It would honestly seem fair to me because most midtrib I’ve encountered are so sure they’re right and rude about it (not very Christ like or loving ). So I wonder if they would be left behind or just taken and left to look silly as they spring through the clouds . I’d love to hear your thoughts / scriptural evidence for “multiple raptures”

Uhm, Truth is a name for Jesus, but so is LIFE. Remember, WAY, TRUTH, LIFE. You don't have the wisdom or knowledge to judge whether this man has the Holy Spirit guiding him. It's funny that Dispensationalists and Pretribbers believe that Jesus is the Bride of the Church and the Father is the Bride of Israel. What kind of Husband would let his bride suffer horribly just before marrying her? The Father, obviously, according to PreTribbers. And the Bible teaches one rapture/resurrection at the last day. There is only one bus.

I used to go back and forth on this. Underneath I always assumed we would go through the Tribulation, but I had to admit that sometimes I would read some arguments for pre-trib and think they had really good points, but then see others for post trib. It wasn't until studying something completely different that made the Truth hit me right in the face. You can NEVER let an interpreted or extrapolated meaning of a scripture override plainly stated scripture. That's when I realized there was not ONE verse that plainly stated a pre-trib rapture. EVERY one of them required you to assume a parallel meaning to a scripture or extrapolate it to something else to SUGGEST the Pre-trib doctrine. Again, many of them were certainly reasonable and rational arguments, but they were all based on assumed meaning that wasn't actually stated. However, there are verses that spell out quite clearly when the rapture takes place. 1Th 4:16-17 "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord." So, from this we KNOW the dead in Christ are raised FIRST, THEN we who are alive and remain will be caught up, and a Trumpet of God is noted as well. 1Co 15:52 "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed." This gives a little further clarification, it's at the LAST Trumpet. Now there are 7 Trumpets mentioned in Revelation. Now that doesn't mean there might not be other trumpets after that, that aren't mentioned, but one thing for sure, by definition, the last Trumpet CAN'T be before that 7th Trumpet sounds. Finally, the OTHER milestone marker is the dead being raised first. Lo and behold Revelation mentions the FIRST Resurrection, so obviously there aren't any other resurrections prior to that one, that could precede the rapture. So the rapture HAS to take place after this resurrection mentioned in Rev. Rev 20:4-5: "Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection." Note it specifically refers to this as the FIRST resurrection and it specifically mentions those who didn't worship the beast or accept the mark. So CLEARLY this can't happen before the Antichrist is revealed and the persecution of those who won't accept the mark. It literally couldn't be any clearer. Meanwhile not ONE verse says we are raptured before the great tribulation. Sadly, so many Christians are so used to preachers and prophets making WILD extrapolations of scriptural doctrine, they've literally lost the ability to tell the difference between something that's ACTUALLY stated and the meaning they are reading into it! I literally had some woman respond with the scripture about the time of Jacob's trouble. She actually thought THAT scripture PROVED pre-trib!

That's the rule of even diplomacy - before a war breaks out,the ambassadors are called home. So too, we're the ambassadors of Christ, & if you wish to stay here on earth during the 7-yrs of Tribulation, that's fine. But personally, I'm waiting & watching expectantly for the day when the Lord shall descend on the clouds with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,& with the trump of God.

D & K Grace there is a difference between wrath and tribulation. We are not appointed to wrath because we are in Christ. However, through much tribulation (the first century church) entered the kingdom of heaven. We in the 21st century have the kingdom, but all that will to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. The scriptures you quoted speak nothing of a pre-tribulation rapture, no matter how much you want them to or believe them to. 1 Thess 4, in context, is an explanation of the dead who have died in Christ and their place in the return of Christ. 1 Thess 5 Paul is instructing the Thessalonians to walk circumspectly, since they are in Christ, and since those in Christ are not appointed to His wrath-don’t do things that will have wrath poured on you. You must learn to read the scriptures in context, my friend.

@@minimations8697 You think you can do something to have God's wrath poured out on you? Tell me, what is that? 1Thess 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. The Lord's return in this verse is a return to the clouds not the earth as is the 2nd coming at the end of the tribulation, Daniels 70th week, Jacobs trouble. You need to rightly divide God's word to be able to distinguish, Law from grace, prophecy from mystery, Jew from Gentile, and yes Heaven and Earth. Earth is where the promised kingdom will be for the Jews and the Heavenlies is where the body of Christ will reside. This is how context works. By rightly dividing the word. 2Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
@minimations8697
@minimations8697 4 года назад
D & K Grace you keep emphasizing “rightly dividing,” but you’re not doing it. First of all, Daniel’s 70 weeks were fulfilled in Christ. In Daniel 9:24, just read what the purpose of the 70 weeks was. Forget the specifics in the following verses for a moment-just read the 6-fold purpose. Who put an end to sin? Who atoned for sin? Who sealed vision and prophet?Who built a house? Who executed a new covenant? Christ did all that. The 70 weeks are fulfilled. Again, Paul’s admonishment to the Thessalonians (and to all disciples of Christ) has continued to be “Walk worthy of the calling,” meaning since you are in Christ, make no provision for the flesh. His focus isn’t so much on the “wrath,” but rather it’s more on mortifying the deeds of the flesh. I guess I should have said, “Don’t live like those who will have wrath poured out on them.” You and I, if we are in Christ, are not to live in sin. If you want to say that this generation of Israel has to complete the “sentence” or punishment of a generation in antiquity then you are saying God has violated His own word. He promised that He would no longer do that (Ezekiel 18:2). What dispensationalists believe is like saying my grandfather committed a crime and was sentenced to 70 years in prison-but a judge decided to suspend his time in prison and then sends me to prison to finish the sentence. God has not done and will not do that. Israel finished their 70 years of desolations spoken by Daniel in 9:1. Then Christ fulfilled the 70 7s told to Daniel in 9:24. The “rightly dividing” needs to occur on the part of Dispensationalists who think God still has to go back to Israel again. Why do you think the temple was destroyed? That was the sign of the end of the Jewish age as JESUS promised in Matthew 24. Now, with the Jewish age out of way, all is in Christ-the executor of a new covenant, and the old is done with. Why would God suspend the new covenant to go back to something that’s decaying, dying, and done with? That’s like giving up Windows 10 to go back to Windows 3.1. Read the entirety of Paul’s writings and you will find that Christ was the plan all along! It was always the plan that all people would be His image and that He would have the kingdom. In Christ there is no Jew, Gentile, male, female, etc. Now, yes, there is a remnant of Israel in Him, but a portion of Israel that is included in the ONE body of Christ, for whom He comes once to deliver from persecution in the end, and then we will forever be with the LORD! Christ does NOT have two bodies; Israel and the church. He only has one, made of all nations, as He promised in Isaiah 43:19-21. Once more, There is no pre-trib rapture. In context Paul is addressing the question posed to him by the Thessalonians regarding the dead and their place in the coming of the LORD.

Basically, these guys are teaching a pre-resurrection before the Day of the Lord. You don't sneak into Heaven and flesh and blood do not enter Heaven. At 3:52 into this video the Holy Spirit inspired me to write this passage of scripture. Jesus Christ was rebuking the spirit that was inspiring Peter. Matthew Chapter 16:21-23 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and BE RAISED AGAIN the third day. Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, GET THEE BEHIND ME, SATAN: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Anyone that denies what is clearly in the Word of God must be rebuked. To deny the Rapture of the Church you are in effect saying, that what Jesus did at the Cross of Calvary wasn't enough to atone for our sins, and we have to go through the Great Tribulation.

Not to mention the only time the dead in christ are mentioned to be raised is in revelations 20. 1 cor 15:52 also says "at the last trumpet" so either there multiple last trumpets or the your claiming it either doesnt actually mean the last trumpet which is coincidentally in revelations 20 also or that the bible is wrong again. So the dead in christ and the the last trumpet happen to be when christ literally appears to the world in revelations 19-20. So is there pre-tribulation rapture and the bible contradicts itself twice in this limited context or should we trust in what the bible says? 1 thessalonians 5:9 question. If Christian's are not going to be around while the wrath is being poured out then as each person accepts christ during the tribulation are they just SOL and have ti experience gods wrath? Also, does the same go for the 144,000, do we just say tough gig? No, I think god will make certain protections for his people to protect them possibly like he did with Noah and his family or like he did with the Israelites during the plagues in Egypt. Another thing I would ask you to consider is Revelation 19:7 where the great multitude who comes with christ says "Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready." According to then the wedding feast referred to by Jesus in Matthew 25 and Mark 13 has not happened yet and the bride(which is the church) has made herself ready, this is the end of the tribulation. A common beleif in pre-tribulation beleif is that christ comes for his bride before the tribulation and that verse indicates he has not done that up to this point. Sorry for the lengthy reply, curious to hear your reaction.

Why I believe the rapture and return are two seperate events. I've really studied this, comparing the pre and post tribulation position with just the word alone. Could I humbly suggest, Compare Jesus Glorious return at the end of the apocalyptic seals, bowls, Trumpets, third of all life destroyed, wormwood, plagues, boils etc etc with Jesus saying "just as in the times of Noah and Lot" . Normal everyday life! Does that sound like the end of Armageddon? Clearly He is speaking of two events. There's no way these two, the rapture, as a" thief in the night" and His glorious return are the same. People definitely won't be giving and taking in marriage and trading as normal on the day of His return. Boot fares and stag parties will be the LAST thing on thier minds. They'll be struggling to survive. Jesus said, "that time will be cut short for the elects sake or else no one would survive it." (The elect are the 144,000 Jews and thier converts saved through the tribulation which is called "Jacobs trouble") The church is raptured as described in Thessalonians and Corinthians then the Antichrist is revealed who will sign THE agreement (not Trump's!) then 3 1/2 years in he will desecrate the new built temple which will bring in terrible trouble leading to Armageddon at the end of which is the Lords glorious return and sweeping away all evel forever. I hope this helps. I was doubtful too but decided to really study the scriptures. God bless.

As I read post trib arguments I find myself thinking, "yes but what about....?" Then I recheck what I've studied lol. I'm going through a lengthy post trib position that I've downloaded atm. @@stringerchick3650 I've checked out Andy Woods and indeed he explains the biblically based reasons for pre trib very well indeed. I have now completed an examination of the post trib position as taught by Jeffrey A. Mott. A quick perusal of this work appears to present a very powerful argument for a post tribulation rapture. I'm sure you can access this for yourself on the net. However on deeper investigation I found that it is on very weak ground. I could list everything here but take to long. However I will deal with just a couple. Mott uses the 'type' of Egypt to show that 'believers' will have to go through the full tribulation as the children of Israel did before Moses (The Lord) finally led them out in a kind of 'rapture' before the Egyptians were judged in the Red sea. This, at first seems powerful but (comparing scripture with scripture and) by rightly dividing the word of God this is revealed as completely wrong. Jesus Himself gave us two 'types' as examples: The days of Noah and The days of Sodom and Gomorrah where the believers were clearly absolutely removed before judgement, before tribulatuon. So I'm wondering why Mott used a type that Jesus did not? I also noticed that Mott ignores scriptures that indicate the tribulatuon is something specifically designated to the Jews. Jeremiah 30 clearly states this is the time of JACOBS trouble. As I said, there is much more. Indeed, every single point he proposes fails to rightly divide the word of God on the matter. So, my conclusion from my own studies and diligently studying the post trib position I am thoroughly convinced the rapture will no be at any time, and definitely BEFORE the tribulation.

About twelve years ago, I was in our back yard patio and Massiah appeared near an Avocado tree. I was resting after digging up most of the weeds near our wall that devided our property, from that of a neighbor and He said; "What are you doing?" I described my function and elaborated that I was using a shovel to dig under the weeds and He replied, "That's what I'm going to do!" Instantly I had a mental image of the final judgement, where everyone is gathered, under a white tent and people, not converted, were being judged by the long littany of details constituting their history of performance, while the believers were being instantly approved only by the verifcation of their names having been written in the Book of Life. After some comments, He stepped close, and staring into my eyes, He said; "Will you endure the tribulation?" My panicked response was, NO! Then He changed the subject, without elaborating on any other qualifying details, so having been distracted from the subject of His question and my response, to it, I never had the wit, or mental focus, in the heat of the moment, to request an elaborate, or detailed explanation of His question, but my one-word, response: No, He never challenged, so that question was settled. In 600 B.C. The sacred name; I Am, from Exodus 3:14, was changed, by the priests, to the Babylonian sun god's names, god and lord.

Again, let's get back to the subject of when Christ will withdraw the Church. It is lawful that in the current situation, Christians ask themselves: Are we going to go through the Tribulation? How do you explain Christians suffering now? And how to understand these texts: "And she was allowed to make war on the saints, and to overcome them ... And I saw that the woman was drunk on the blood of the saints, and on the blood of the witnesses of Jesus" Rev. 13: 7 and 17: 6. So how to sustain pre-tribulationism? If passages like Paul Ap.3: 10 and Luke 21:36 do not comfort you ... Then I want to bring Jesus' own words ... "you are Peter, and on this stone I will build my church, and the doors from hell will not prevail against her; " Mt 16:18. Christ's statement is that the Evil One will never, never be able to extinguish the Church or exterminate it completely, so it is clear that she will not participate in this period when the Antichrist will be allowed to win everything and everyone. If it is impossible for Christ to lie, then let us be confident and sober in the Word. I see many of their faces fallen and defeated, terrified by the situation they see and what is to come, they do not know that you are an elected race, a royal priesthood, the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world, you are more what a winner and that no creature of the present or the future can separate you from the Love of God, in the person of Christ Jesus! So watch and pray because the One who bought you at a high price will come to rescue you. Maranata!

WK, You base much of your beliefs on a far future fulfillment of Revelation. The writer, John, addressed the book to the seven churches in Asia Minor that were actual (literal!) churches in his time. He says, quoting Jesus, “the things that must take place shortly”, “I am coming soon”, “the time is near” throughout Revelation. The revelation was given to John during one of the most trying times of the first century Christians. John says he is a “brother and fellow partaker in the tribulation” they were experiencing. The rivalry between those who said Caesar is Lord and those proclaiming Jesus is Lord began in earnest with the persecution of Nero in 64 AD, as we know from Tacitus and other historians. It is without a doubt that the revelation had a firm contextual grounding in the first century church struggling against the persecutions by the beast of Rome, not to the present day 2,000 years removed. If you want to understand Revelation, you must first understand the Old Testament; 2/3rd of the book is quoting or alluding to the OT prophets. For example, the harlot on the beast with the cup of wine representing the blood of the prophets and the saints was used in Jeremiah and Ezekiel as symbolic of apostate Judah in the 6th BC, when God judged the nation and destroyed Jerusalem and the temple in 586 BC. Jesus told the Pharisees they were guilty of the blood of “the prophets whose blood they shed”, and to fill up the full measure. This was the precise symbol used to describe the coming wrath of God in the OT through the Babylonians as it was in Revelation through the Romans. According to Eusebius the Christians fled Judea to the mountains of Perea to the north, in Pella, when the Roman armies led by Cestius Gallus surrounded the city in 66 AD. The Christians who heeded Jesus’ words to flee Judea were spared, while the Jews trusted in their ability to find protection in the temple, God’s house, and were slaughtered by the sword, famine, and plague-just as in Jeremiah and Ezekiel’s day. There is no mention of the antichrist in the book of Revelation, nor anywhere else in the NT. John describes “antichrists” as false teachers who had “gone out from” the congregations of believers in his day, but no end times antichrist is to be found in the Bible, at all. This is purely pop-eschatology, and it sells lots of books.

The exchange of information we have on this forum is presenting our “arguments”-our defense of what we believe-but need not be “argumentative”. Examining the strengths and weaknesses of our beliefs makes us stronger in our service in the Kingdom, as “iron sharpens iron” (Prov 27:17). I have come to believe the rapture as commonly taught is not a biblical doctrine. I came to this conclusion after carefully studying the Bible, after previously believing it simply because that was what I was taught. I want to encourage you to challenge your beliefs, and be willing to follow what the Bible clearly teaches-not me, or any “prophecy experts”. There is nothing to fear or lose by challenging our beliefs against the Bible, only the reward of proper study and strength in your beliefs. My investigative journey of 8 years (and counting!) have led me to the conclusion that I could no longer support dispensationalism and a secret coming/partial resurrection called the rapture. Be encouraged to “test all things and hold on to that which is good” (1 Thess 5:12). Be blessed, Tristan!

Dawn Willoughby The plagues aren’t meant for believers but rather non-believers and unrepentant sinners. Wouldn’t it make sense that the fact that you know about the plagues and can read Revelation as a believer means that believers will experience it? Why even read Revelation if we won’t experience all the bad things prophecied? How can we expect to be saved by a rapture when most saints were killed for their belief and Jesus promised his followers would be persecuted? If Christians in Syria were crucified and had their heads cut off by ISIS then why should you or I be spared persecution? The Israelites were present during the 10 plagues on ancient Egypt, but they were spared the plagues because they put lamb’s blood on their doors. Tribulation will have a lot of violence, a lot will happen to believers and a lot to non-believers. I would say the entire book of Revelation is the answer to your request of a verse that shows believers will be on Earth during the plagues. Jesus promised his followers they would be persecuted for His name. Christians in Syria have been crucified by ISIS, Saint Peter was crucified upside down. I really doubt we will be raptured away for no reason. If we were raptured away the whole world would know Christ is Lord without question, and convienently get another chance

Similar to revelation chapter 6 mentioning the altar of souls opened, where those inside are told to wait until their bretheren are KILLED as they were (not raptured) So as far as i know most of us true believers will be killed and persecuted and jailed for the true testimony of christ either during the birth pangs or first 5 seals. Then its clear as written in Pauls books as i shown in the verse above Corinthians and thessalonians that the coming Christ AND OUR GATHERING TO HIM doeesnt happen until after the falling away (great apostasy) and the man of perdition revealed. At the LAST TRUMPET!! Again in Revelation 12 the woman who i believe is ISRAEL is protected 1260 days (3.5 years) , the dragon then goes to make war with the remnant of her seed. Those who hold the testimony or CHRIST!! Thats us his church!!! The antichrist rises next chapter and is given power for guess what 3.5 years to overcome the SAINTS!! Who are the saints? We are believers and like Paul and Stephen and the others we will likley be persecuted and killed. 3.5 years is the exact time ISRAEL is protected on earth. (the woman 12 stars 12 tribes of israel see genesis joesphs dream) Its very clear we will all face persecution and tribulation for the testimony of Christ, its also very clear to me the gathering to christ (rapture) is after the tribulation period and the DEAD rise first. Im not right about everything, please if u can use the scriptures to correct me ! Thnx So we must endure until the end no matter what comes our way!!! This deception was devised by Satan, not man, so that those who believe it as truth will be disappointed and disillusioned when it (the Rapture) doesn't happen and they deny the Faith. Another reason why God might allow the Church to go thru the Great Tribulation is so those remaining Christians who are alive and remain faithful to Him will be able to proclaim the Gospel to those under His judgement for sin (not having trusted in Christ's atonement for their sin). If He removed Christians from the earth, who would remain to proclaim the Good News to the lost?

End times eschatology has always been a point of contention for a lot of Christians. I have heard good arguments for all the positions (pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib, amil, etc.). But unfortunately all the positions have holes as well. Personally, I tend to lean pre-trib for biblical reasons. Not because I read the Left Behind series (I only made it through the first few books then gave up on them, and thought they were pretty hokey). One mistake that I think a lot of Christians make when forming an opinion about end times eschatology is that they approach it with a particular bias rather than looking at it for what it is, and taking in the whole picture. For example a lot of people who believe the pre-trib view believe it because they want to escape the persecution of the beast (antichrist). Those that tend to believe in the mid, post, or amil positions tend to get excited about the idea of the Church undergoing persecution. Personally I think both of these reasons for forming an opinion do not really form a good foundation for eschatology. Persecution of the Church has been going on for roughly the last 2000 years. It's nothing new under the sun. So wanting to escape it is just as silly as someone claiming they want to go through it. Regardless of what position you hold to, Christians have, and will be, persecuted either way. One then has to ask the question, if we set aside these biases about persecution (wanting to escape it, or wanting to go through it), then what is the real foundation for a true view of eschatology? Hopefully the answer to this question leads one back to the Bible for an in-depth study of the topic devoid of a pre-conceived idea of what it should be. In the end, if one believes in a pre-trib view for strong biblical reasons, great. If one is amil, or holds to some other position for strong biblical reasons, this is also great. The topic of end times eschatology has been a mystery for the last 2000 years, and will continue to be so until it actually unfolds in the great tribulation, and Christ returns. That being said, Christ instructs us to be watchful and ready for anything. If we are raptured before the great tribulation, great. We will get to be with Him in glory and reign with Him at His return. If the next major event on the prophetic calendar is the arrival of the man of lawlessness and not the rapture, great. We will receive a reward for being martyred for our faith. Either way, those that are truly in Christ will win in the end.

The term "harpazo" means "to be snatched" or taken away. It is used of the apostle Philip being snatched away in Acts 8:39. Paul is teaching that believers will be caught up into the air to meet Christ and will be given their resurrected bodies at that time (1 Thess. 4:15-18).

The Holy Spirit will be taken off this earth before the 7 years start. We saved Christians are sealed with the Holy Spirit and that is a promise by God. Now right before the 7 years start John sees the heavens open and the church sit in heaven, at the same time the spirit is taken off the earth and the 7 years start. There is much more to it but a deep study leaves me lean towards pre trib. The rapture that is easily referred to always addresses the Jews. Paul however addressed the gentiles and much is different. Rightly dividing is crucial to avoid confusion.

Reddish plague is symbolic of leftism, Marxism, communism, etc. Greenish mildew is symbolic of Islam. Hank is alluding to one of the logical implications and difficulties with premillennialism (whether the dispensational or historic varieties). Namely, after the Lord’s Second Coming during the millennium both resurrected saints (those raised at the beginning of the millennium) will live alongside children born in the millennium, presumably non-resurrected people both sinners and saints. Plus many of them will stand with Satan, after the releasing, and wage a revolution against the throne of Jesus Christ. Moreover, premillennialism implies the millennial saints will have a chance for salvation after Jesus returns and after Satan’s rebelling ending the millennium. @@bronzemv4440 some believe the first rapture is pre trib for believers, then during trib, then at the end of trib, depending on how hard-headed people are in accepting the gospel

According to notable historians, the book of Revelation was written after 70 A.D., but circa 96-98A.D. Thus, the events described in Revelation could not possibly be the same as you depict.

Good analysis. It is not biblical that believers would want to escape representing the life they believe in during hardship.

Hank, thank you always for staying the course on these pre tribulation falsehoods. It is so sad that so many go to a seminary and are indoctrinated toward this and they never rightly divide the truth on their own.

It partially started with Scofield and his teachings and took off, at least in the US.

@@JesusChristismySavior-Julieit actually all started with the first century believers.. that's just a fable that Darby and Scofield started it.. but the bible didn't go into production til the 16th century.. look up Clement of rome(35-101).. Ignatius of Antioch who died in 110.. if your gonna research it.. don't half ass it.. search it out all the way😊

Happy Passover brothers and sister....question, what will happen to Christians during the great tribulation?

It will be a time of great destitution, where we will be the enemy of the world. Ironic.

The Christians fled Judea to the mountains north and east of the Jordan in Pella, following Jesus’ instructions for them to flee when they saw Jerusalem surrounded by armies, and escaped the great tribulation. Remember that Jesus was addressing those living at that time, that “this generation” would see happening. The destruction of the city and the temple happened just as he said it would.

Jeffrey Osburn - I disagree, they asked Him to reveal the signs of "the end", and that wasn't. Besides, they never witnessed many saying, here is Christ, etc. They never had to endure to the end, that wasn't the worst time in history, and when that was over, He didn't came back for them.

Todd Wood You’ll have to disagree with the biblical and historical evidence, not with me. The “end” was not the “end of the world” (kosmos) as translated in the KJV, but the “end of the age” (aionos). The end of the Mosaic system of animal sacrifice and the political-religious state did happen when the city and temple were destroyed, over one million Jews killed, tens of thousands taken captive as slaves, and most others in exile. Josephus, the Jewish eyewitness historian of this desolation, records the rise of scores of false messiahs and false prophets. The Book of Acts records a few as well. These are well documented historical facts. The Christians left Judea and went north to the mountainous region of Perea when they saw Jerusalem surrounded by Roman legions, and so escaped the horrible time of tribulation from 66-73 AD. Jesus returned to judge apostate Israel just as God personally poured out his wrath on their ancestors during the fall of Jerusalem and destruction of Solomon’s temple by the Babylonian army in 586 BC. And the temple was destroyed in 70 AD on the same day of the Jewish calendar, the 9th of Av. Remember, the disciples question was in response to Jesus pronouncing judgement on the Pharisees in the preceding passages to the Olivet Discourse, when he said “your house is left unto you desolate.” They we’re walking away from the temple when the disciples drew Jesus’ attention to the great and expensive stones, to which Jesus replied, “not one stone will be left on top of the other.” This prophecy was fulfilled to the letter. That’s what the biblical and historical record says, not my opinion. It’s a great confirmation of the deity of Christ and the reliability of the Bible.

Jeffrey Osburn - and the sun was darkened, and the moon didn't give light, and the stars fell from heaven, and every eye saw Him,and all the tribes of earth mourned, and He gathered His elect?
