Yeah this list is Exactly why after i got live on sale, i kept playing it. Eventually i preordered 19 too for $40 in 18's menu too, EA helpin me out over here!!
My 5 reasons to get Live 19. 1. Defense, 2. Less of a grind. (I can max 5 players in Live, b4 I can max 1 player in 2k) 3. No microtransactions. 4. New icon system. 5. Can create a female baller.........6. cheaper pre-order.
1. Defense sounds great for 2k19 2. Grinding isnt difficult, its just tough to get to a 99 and you don't know what the grind is gonna be like in 2k19 3. You dont have to buy vc
Live over 2k because I can play casually and make it to max level with 3 characters. All this is done with no micro transactions. While playing 2k I still haven't hit 95 overall, my character is still trash and I bought VC. If I wanted to grind I would go to work but I just want to play a game.
Straight up! My player is an 88 overall, got gold catch and shoot, silver limitless range, silver deep range, gold mid-range and he is still somewhat ass, very inconsistent, Like I could go from hitting back to back 3’s and postering someone, to missing an open lay up, then completely brick my next 3 jumpers even if I’m open.

You can without a doubt dm a developer with a recording of an animation or sequence within a game that needs to be cleaned up and they will see what they can do. ✓ Dynamic Commentary - Fresh new commentary will be added every month. ✓ NBA Live 18 sold 400,000 copies this year which is a big accomplishment for EA in retrospect when you revisit NBA Live 14 and NBA Live 15. They have regained their momentum and have reignited a spark within former NBA Live fans. For those who are worried about the lack of people to play against or with in NBA Live 19 that issue will not be a problem since NBA Live is getting everyone excited recently due to the huge strides it has made across the board. ✓ EA soundtrack will be fire as a former fan of 2K i am aware of how weak their song selection with soundtracks has gotten worse and worse each year that issue is non existent within NBA Live. ✓ The game is on sale once again for a whopping $40. EA has given everyone that has NBA Live 18 a discount to purchase NBA Live 19. If you have EA Access the price will drop to $35. ✓ Speaking of EA Access we all are aware that the NBA Live 19 demo drops August 24th well the 10 hour trial for NBA Live 19 will be available as well if you have EA Access. You will be granted the chance to test out the game for 10 hrs to see if it is the game that is for you. ✓ Real Player Motion / RPM has removed any stiffness or rigidness that has been echoed for years with NBA Lives Previous installments. This feature will spruce things up and really highlight signature crossovers, player movements, free throws, jumpshots, etc. ✓ EA has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to innovation and new ideas. They have been blazing their own trail since it's return from it's hiatus and have found themselves separating itself from it's competitor each year. 1) EA developers don’t listen to their customers. Look how they handled ME, Battlefront 2, battlefield one or Anthem. 2) Commentary had no back stories. It was announcing the player who had the ball’s last name and his action (pass, shot, dribble, etc.) 3) RPM sucks. Have you played Madden 19? The players have the worst movement in any recent years. The animations suck, and player AI is terrible. I’m not getting 2k or NBA Live, I’m waiting a month until the reviews are done and I’ll see if they’re worth it, but you’re faith in NBA Live is based of EA’s tactics. EA is way more money hungry than 2k. The only reason why they’re not having micro-transactions is because they’re not as good as 2k so they can’t justify having them. I hate what 2k has become but I’m not naive enough to believe Live is a solution.
Native BeastMode I'm not talking about what EA did with those games I'm speaking specifically about NBA Live. EA has added stuff into the game that people asked for back in Live 18. They added 3v3 and Roster Editing into the game because people were complaining about the roster updates because it would take them a while to do them and people were a bit annoyed with 5v5 because it was cluttered. Now all those micro transactions you are speaking of i believe will begin to stop now for EA since the guy who had oversee of every EA Game left the company about a week or two ago. He was the reason EA was gaining that reputation of being evil for having that P2W System. His name was Patrick Sunderland he was the reason behind the loot boxes and EA gave him a bonus not to leave and he did anyway. I haven't pre-ordered neither game as well i stopped pre ordering 2K last year and pre ordered live that year and bought 2K when it was on sale instead. I'm just waiting to see if they can wow me with the demo and see what they offer. Then, I will play the 10 hr trial for myself to see if they made a complete game. I don't know if I will get it just because they put energy into the one and didn't spruce up the other modes. Using Madden as an example just because they use RPM to me it isn't really a good example because RPM effects all of the sports games differently.
Immortal Vegan there’s a difference between EA developers amd NBA Live developers. But look at Madden, FIFA, etc as soon as EA gets ahead on a game they have even more micro-transactions. Also the things you’re saying EA did like add 3v3 and roster editing are basic features. The fact is, when Live gets gameplay and as good as 2k they’ll be using 2k micro-transaction’s too.
I'm getting Live next.. so tired of all the vc purchases in 2k19, long loading/waiting times, mycareer is boring, errors trying to squad up, etc. Really, I've just had it with all the microtransactions.
NBA 2K players ALWAYS lose the ball in traffic. The slightest bump, the rock is gone. Sometimes it doesn’t pass to the player selected. I didn’t even finish a season last year. I’ll go with Live hoping for a better experience.
I have both games and both have pros and cons but 2K is still the better game. Until Live fixes its animations and some mechanics in the gameplay it won’t top 2K
I actually always played 2K then tried the LIVE DEMO and loved it, coming over from 2K actually showed me how much 2K are actually dropping the ball, I mean the animations are amazing just to name one thing, this franchise slept on.

I think the Micro transactions in Live will be in Ultimate Team, like in Fifa. Def getting Live this year. The grind in 2k is too much. Plus they make you play in career to improve your player. I'm trying to play street ball and can still improve my player
I paid 6 dollars for nba live, it was fun at first but it’s f*cking terrible. The controls in live are insanely unresponsive it’s unbelievable that a game in 2018 can actually be that bad. Play this game and you will find out, like the controls just straight up don’t work half the time, like even to the point were you can put the left stick left and your player will go right. I’m not kidding this has happened to me. The post offense controls damn near never work, even the simplest moves like a dropstep don’t work. For a dropstep your suppose to put right stick toward back should whip in the post, but 90% of the time of you do that your player will either just face up and shoot contested or do a crappy hook shot. Step backs are super touchy too, if your trying to do a step back after getting stopped trying to drive( like your suppose to) your player will just stand there looking retarded and not even shoot it. Multiple times I’ve been standing there holding the shoot button and the game just doesn’t register it. I know it’s not my controller cuz I have an elite controller the works great for every other game. So unless you can get this game for less than 5 bucks don’t waste your time. You buying lunch would be a better use of your money
The major problem with 2k, is they cant please everybody!! Every year or 2, people complain about something.. What was it 2k16 or 17, not even 3 months after game was released, you had (legit) legends walking around.. So people complained it was too easy.. People complained that "all you have to do is buy vc, there's no grind anymore.. People complained about demi-gods, so they came with archetypes to kill it... Everything we complain about, they attempt to fix it, but only f*k up the game even worse doing so.. Everybody complained the spike lee story was too short, now they drag mycareer out and make you watch every damn cut scene! My biggest complaint with 2k, is they are all about money now.. Nobody asked for the microtransactions. 2k is at the point where they don't even need to make a game each year.. Just update the roster and be like GTA online, where they keep dropping DLC (parks, game modes,WNBA, leagues)etc.. Graphics aint gone get any better unless they drop a new console, and they can go inside and patch the game if something needs to be adjusted. So there is no reason to keep making us buy a new game each year except for money!
Live 19 pretty good, and picking it up on sale for $30.00 a couple months back was a steal. It's all good game, they just need fix the slowish game play, improve the animations/graphics and include a Live version of my league/create a team mode in the next game and I'll easily stick to the live series
I loved 2k and got live for free and ended up playing live more . It was a breath of fresh air. The grind was for sure way less.. 50steals /100/200/300 points , stuff like that.. 2k turning into call of duty with these micro transactions , damn game should be free with all the extra money u need to spend lol
Buying both games during a Black Friday sale. Most sports games come down to around $30 around that time so why not buy both games for basically the price of One?
I spent $13.95 on NBA live 19 when I bought on special (PS4) I spent $99.95 on 2k19 and $1000+ on microtransactions and I'm having more fun on NBA live 19 than I ever did on 2k, will be definitely going with NBA live 20 next year. Excited!
When you catch a 2k fanboy giving live ANY props for ANY reason, make sure you get proof of that! 2k fanboys love 2k even if it means being dishonest about other games
Hopefully, the competition from both games can keep the other in check. Right now it's looking like competition from ea is already starting to curb 2k. Maybe, in 2 years or so, I will finally be able to play 2k again
@Tray I'm tired of 2k and played the Live demo. Live 19 didn't feel as good as 2k. I won't get either. I really wantes to like Live. Maybe one day they'll get on the same level.

There's barely any franchise depth AT ALL in Live. Which why no matter how shitty online play is in 2k. When it comes down to it us vets look for depth in the franchise modes. If you dont like VC then dont play online...another thing why anyone would wanna play a laggy, glitchy a$$ online mode in a sports game is beyond me. Madden, 2k, Live..all the sports games need to bring back franchise mode depth and POOF..their sales would sky rocket. Its obvious that's why Lives sales isnt good, not because the lack of gameplay but the lack of depth in single player offline modes
i’m a 2k player and i played the demo today and i had lots of fun but i think i prefer the gameplay of 2k and the story which is why i’m going with 2k but live is very fun if i get the money i’ll be sure to get both

The thing I love about Live is how they handle their own version of park. You don't feel alone because people are willing to play with 60 ovr. On 2k if you got a 60 ovr you can tell niggas that walk away got a stank face saying "get the fuck away from me with your sorry ass". Live matchmakes you into one and I love that. Also to upgrade your guys stats only by working for it, that I can respect.
my 5 reasons for me would be .......1. don't mind grind just don't like the type of grind, like really training like lifting weights, shooting free throws etc rather gain experience playing against others and use a personal court when i feel like it 2. dribble animations aren't being done by the player, removes skill with the sticks. 3. defense always feels like your just there and can't stop nothing in 2k as we see the 5 spread in the 2k league. 4. making another player and things you brought on one character doesn't go to your new character like jewelry etc 5. too many cut scenes in 2k, i just want to ball most of the time or just get in and get out...
Like the video, you was not bias, you understood that 2k game play could be better but it has it's issues and those issues live has something to better those weak areas. Like the video.

I'm more of a franchise, online quick game guy so I'll play 2K for that. But I will admit, Live is doing some good stuff with The One. Might have to get both myself.
I already preordered it, I'd also make an argument sayin the streetmode is more authentic along side the courts and you can make a female player(which is obvious now but still)
Last live I played was 06. Been with 2k since 11. Honestly, im confident with switching over to live this year. Already pre ordered it. However, if it disappoints, I could just easily get 2k as well, but im sure live owns this year.
Another reason is in career mode on live u can actually play in each quarter of every game unlike 2k u on the damn bench almost every game and they just put u in a game what when the quarter is almost damn over? What's the use of career mode then in 2k when u hardly on the court? They might as well call it no career mode cause u rarely on the court at all just continuous on the bench .
I played NBA live on my old ps2 from 01-09 until I got a PS3 for NBA live 10(at the time I started playing it was already 2008). Then Live stopped, so I got 2k10 for PS3 and so on until 2k18. In my opinion, NBA Live was best before NBA Live 10, 2k was pretty good graphic wise and with all of the Mode choices. I never bought Live 14-16, because I was satisfied with 2k, then I wasted money on 2k18 and 100,000 VC (which made my guy a 80 OVR), I was bored with it and decided to buy NBA Live 18 for 5 bucks when it was on sale. I wasn't that impressed with Live 18 either, it was ok but neither game was great. I'm not sure which side I'm gonna pick for the future, I think Live 19 or 2k19 is gonna be the start of the fate of one Franchise and the growth of the other. Hoping they will be good

Does anyone remember NBA live 2005? Idk y, but that live05 stood out for me. And the dunk contest omg it was the best of all nba games to date. You actually did the dunk... Rather than a timed button press... Loved live 05. Wish it was back compatible on xbox one
Reason #1 NOT to buy Live 19...it still doesn't have online franchise. What a joke. But at least you can actually invite friends to play online now. What an amazing feature!
I just purchased NBA live yesterday and so far the game has been way better than 2k overall. It has better handles, less turnovers, better defense, and more easy controls to use plus the gameplay isn't overhyped like 2k.
marcusmvpgoat 123 naw. Live's animations were canned and scripted to the point where you had to wait for them to finish before being able to do something else. that's been the main gripe about the game that EA refuses to fix (like madden). that's why we never saw live 20 cuz the game was cheeks

One thing that gets me is the LUT solo challenges! SO MUCH GRINDING. I know they're one quarter length but shit.. 30 "matches" for a silver pack? Also, the have 12 "of this teams player on your LUT", I PLAY LUT TO HAVE MY OWN TEAM, NOT TO SWITCH IT EVERY 20 GAMES. Winning those categories are hard with a bunch of 60 OVR all your team..
Im new to basketball games (never played any before, im kinda "discovering" basketball now lol) played the 2k20 demo and nba live 19 and to me live is much better. The gameplay feels smoother and the moves are more crisp. I love streetball too so maybe thats why
They need to work on the stiffness, the speed of dunk animations, player scans, roster/player editing depth, signature shots & dribbles and the physics/speed/weight of the ball... Live is comin for that crown very soon

Bought 2k19 and it crashed on me and i lost my 86 over player i built. Also i was a slasher in 2k18 and loved it. 2k19 took the slashing ability away. No more blowing by a player thats weaker than you. I made a 6'9 250 pound SF slasher that was 86 over all and i was getting stoned walled by 70 over all PGs. Its like i hit a brick wall every time. That is not realistic at all. They need to fix that and the game would be good to me.
So one question in live 19 do you have to have internet to get more than half the game because 2k19 sucks in that sense if you dont have internet you only get half the game which is rediculous honestly so thats my only question before i go out and waste money on live like i did with 2k19 yea complete waste of money if you dont have internet
nba 2k is more for people that like a challenge.... i've tried live before but it seemmed too easy, there wasn't even a challenge to get a layup or to penetrate using dribble moves. It just semmed all too easy but, on the other hand, 2k brings more challenge you have shot meter for every shot that you will take (not dunks) and it is overall more realistic on the playing aspect of the game.

Just got it, myself. Really impressed w the animations. Cant hit 3s or get open reliably. NBA19 is way too reliant on 3s, and Live seems too hard to get 3s.
until they bring back blacktop and dunk contest 2k is dead to me. I don't get why its so hard to bring back dunk contest, 3pt shootout and all that it was the funnest thing ever
