In Lewiston we have CCI Speer for ammo and Seekins Precision for AR's. And the Clearwater papermill was a big plus for us during the height of covid. They would deliver toliet paper directly to our local stores.
Lived in Sandpoint since 2010. During the last big scare (Obama) when local gun shops around the nation were cleaned out, our shops here had plenty of guns available the whole time. Point being..... those who wanted them around here had enough. I think those numbers you cited for gun ownership in this part of Idaho are skewed by the city dwellers who may be anti-gun. The rural areas are heavily armed in these parts! Only a fool would wander onto a property uninvited in a SHTF scenario around these parts. As an additional anecdotal point, when I had a foundation poured (around 2012) for a large greenhouse, the contractor told me that the majority of his income was from doing bunkers :)
I wonder if the contractor is recommending a radon test on these bunkers after they have are stabilized. North Idaho is located on granite that emits radon at a high level. Seems ironic to build an underground bunker, and then dying of lung cancer...
@@mrrbaskin3720 I have to agree with you after checking out the internet. I had my family all packed up and ready to move to Idaho and then I spoke with some people there and they were dealing with people snowed into their homes and many people were attacked by wolves and mountain lions. I guess the folks that work in the woods are faced with the reality of Grizzly bear attacks as well. Plenty of documentation of bears breaking into people's homes in Idaho, especially in northern Idaho. The amount of lead Kellogg and northern Idaho has in its water system from the mining is unreal. All around Coeur D Alene Lake there are signs to stay on the trails to avoid being poisoned by lead and other minerals from the mining. Google the superfund sites in Idaho and you'll see how poisonous that state really is. The main thing for people to remember is there are many trained people in Idaho who do "NO" prepping. They aren't concerned for SHTF scenarios because if that happens, they are coming to get your food and deal with you and your family. Since these predators know so many Californians and people from other states have moved to Idaho, they have done the same and will feed off of you when the time is right. Please don't be fooled by these guys talking here that if SHTF that law enforcement and first responders will be there to help. Simply put, they will not be there for the people. They will be more concerned in protecting their own families than fighting to protect the people. There is no plan of action for a real SHTF scenario and none of the cities in Idaho are prepared for a major event except for one city which is located 84 miles south of CDA. Fairchild AFB is still a major target and all of north Idaho will covered in radiation from an attack. Outlaw MC's run the roads of north Idaho and will be looking at you when SHTF. Read William Johnstone's "Out of The Ashes" series or A. American "Going Home" series and you'll see that little ole Idaho isn't the safest place. These guys talking here only want to sell you property. They're businessmen and who knows how truthful they are. Do you trust real estate agents, lawyers, used car salesman, insurance agents? My family is moving somewhere safer.
I've lived in northern Idaho for some time and I find that the only people that glorify moving to northern Idaho are people that profit from it like real estate agents and other two-bit hustlers
@@khester7397 Actually, you should probable reconsider living in Idaho if you do. Your attitude is definitely Californian. General_Loco is 100% correct IMO.
I don’t think there’s or has been any missile silos. However, there is Fairchild Air Force Base, which is right next to Spokane international airport. There used to be strategic air command bomber based out of there. Now there’s the KC 135 air tankers (flying gas station) if you’re in HAYDEN or anywhere north there is a mountain in between a potential nuke detonation site in North Idaho, providing excellent protection
There is alot of abandoned silos between Sandpoint and Mountain Home. They are decommissioned, but may still be "active" on Russian and Chinese target lists...
Heard from a Vet that during his active duty time learning about vulnerable and safe areas in the USA Clearwater Valley is one. of the safest. Idaho County being the least populated butargest by land. We lived in both Spokane and Bonner County. Parents had s cabin on Priest Lake in the 70s and 80s. I love it there and I love here in Id. County.
@@mikevetromile1760it was full in 1980. Now it's overcrowded. I don't live in Kootenai County anymore. Can't stand sitting at the same traffic light through multiple green/red cycles

Right. Because the Southern Californians in this video, selling Idaho to their friends and driving up real estate prices are okay but actual locals are not. That doesn't sound stupid at all.
@@PatrickThreewit I am well aware;s not North but it is north central. Besides the video topic is about locations for SHTF, well up north is closer to the libards of Spokane so this area is arguably better.
@@SanitysVoid Our culture is nothing like that of North Idaho. North Idaho is very Christian. 2023 Idaho census says that Idaho in general is 27% unaffiliated. I live in Idaho County, 18th largest county by area in U.S. 17% Catholic, 11% Churches of Christ, 10% Mormon and 25% unaffiliated (People who want nothing to do with organized religion.) We have 17,000 population CDA has over 50,000. We are much more rural. I don't enough difference between conservative and liberals to worry about. I see nothing good about Hillary or Biden or Kamala or Rachel Maddow, but I don't see any good in Trump or Tucker Carlson or Ted Cruz or Tulsi Gabbard. I once liked Bernie until he endorsed Hillary. I'm not a follower. I'm not a Christian any more, because I have studied the Bible in several translations, how the Bible was put together and by whom and I study some world religions and the history of Christianity. For many years I was member of a church that is worth $230 billion, is the second largest private landowner in Florida is buy us lot of farmland in Washington State and Nebraska and has recently been fined $5 million by the IRS for hiding assets in shell corporations. I think church should pay taxes on their corporate earnings. North Idaho claims that the U.S. is a Christian country. It is not, otherwise the name of Jesus would be in our Constitution. The 5 most influential Founding Fathers wee not Christians.
I read that book too and it’s also one of the reasons why I moved here in 2017. In this area where I live, every other house has a retired policeman or military veteran living in it.
It's so cool to see other Idahoans doing RU-vid videos! I don't really do videos, but I am an idahoan. Thanks for doing the video! Awesome! I'm glad that you guys are not drawing more people to this dangerous area! Not only All of that but the wildlife is brutal! All of the bears and mountain lions, oh and wolves. I can't count how many people just disappear! Thank God everyone carries guns! Then there's the "Lead Poisoning" from all of the failed silver mine tailings flowing down the rivers to the lakes! You guys ROCK!
...and ALL that wildlife is edible!!!!...if it doesn't eat you first...smile! Don't worry about the alleged "lead poisoning" unless you are breast feeding or worried about deformed offspring with two heads and four legs...have you had any run in's with the "tree huggers" who say we can't dump snow into the creeks anymore because "contaminants" will flow into the river systems...duh!...where do these idiots think all that water that runs down the roads and into the creeks are taking with them???...probably pro-Harris voters...it's the same water you're drinking! I'm really glad that they didn't mention too much about all the forest fires we have up here that burn everything down every couple of years...but, it's good for the local economy by attracting new home builders from California!
Idaho is great, the people are awesome, but I just can't afford to live there. Will probably re-locate to rural Kentucky or Tennessee, there are some less expensive options there to start a small homestead.
I forget where exactly, or the name, but there is also another big AFB in Montana. Either that one or Fairchild AFB is home to B52s intended to haul nukes. So one of them is a nuclear target and potentially a hot spot for nuclear secondaries if hit. That said it's still a great area from a TEOTWAWKI scenario. Everyplace is going to have it's drawbacks. North Idaho isn't a direct target itself.
Spokane is still a priority target. As is the Trident sub base at Keyport that hosts the world’s largest (allegedly) nuclear warhead storage facility. If you look at the end of a runway, and see a bunch of parking spaces just off to one side, those are “alert pads”. In case of war, bombers and tankers sit on those pads on alert status, and given the call they can rapidly taxi right to the runway and escape. Fairchild hosts SIOP (Strategic Integrated Operations Plan), AKA nuclear war plan, dedicated tankers and can host B-52s from Minot so they aren’t all vulnerable at one base. So in the case of an unlikely nuclear war, Keyport will get smoked in the first hour and blow downwind. From what I’ve seen, all of that will blow to the SE, so south of CDA. CDA is a good place to be, but being on the other side of the Long Bridge is ideal as water barriers are easy choke points. In the near term, this is a nonstarter, but fast forward 5-10 years to a war with China over Taiwan and a cyber attack that wipes out the power grid? That’s starting to look more realistic by the minute…
The nuclear submarine base is to the west of Keyport at Bangor, WA on Hood Canal. There is also the Indian Island Naval Magazine Depot 22 miles to the north which is one of the Department of Defense's largest ordinance storage sites on the west coast. Do they have nukes there? Either there or at the sub base is my guess.
I moved here in 2011…I’m 2.5 hours south of Couer d’ Alene. We have a hydroelectric dam and two fish hatcheries locally and only 3000 people. You’re 100% correct! Northern Idaho will be just fine (from about McCall Northward). Great video! 👍🏻🍻
Northern Idaho seems perfect for those of us who are self-sufficient and capable. Unfortunately, the insane RE prices are a deterrent for the people you’d want as neighbors-military, law enforcement, and first responders.
Spokane didnt have missle silos. They have strategic nuclear bombers. North Idaho was once great pre-Californianication. Today its been annexed by Cali with high real estate prices and a changing demographic. Folks promoting Idaho as a place to come to are mostly are transplant real estate hucksters. Things will be pretty darn bad everywhere if theres some type of nuclear exchange happens. These guys are delusional if they believe theres enough wild game to support the population. That has been drastically depleted by predation and numbers are quite low compared to the 1990's back when there were a lot more elk and moose. These fellas are advertising
I've heard that during WW1/2, people hunting to supplement the grocery store lack, nearly made the rabbit/squirrels extinct. Also, a friend of ours doesn't hunt Idaho/Montana anymore because, he says, during covid, hunting is one of the things people turned to be outdoors, something to do because of shut-down stupidity. He says the wildlife is gone and does great in Alaska.
Fairchild AFB is just west of Spokane and is currently home to aerial refueling tankers and as such is very possibly still a target. It once was a SAC base with B-52s and then the strategic bomber version of the FB-111. In the late 1950s there was a squadron (9 missiles) of Atlas E ICBMs scattered around Spokane and CDA but they were retired in the mid 1960s as the Minuteman missiles were brought online.
You need to look into the 1910 fire. It can absolutely be a bad place for wildfire. We also have earthquakes and we get a little shake every 15-20 years. Got a pretty good one in 1986 (I think, going from memory). Ammo is tricky - you could make a lot until you run out of primers. They make them in Lewiston, but the chemicals come from China (I used to work there).
@@markw999 Could be. I left Idaho in 1985 to serve a tour in Central America and didn't return until 1988. So I don't know what happened in Idaho during those years. I just remember feeling the earthquake in 1982 and 1983 which shook the entire state. "The 1983 Borah Peak earthquake occurred on October 28, at 8:06:09 a.m. MDT in the western United States, in the Lost River Range at Borah Peak in central Idaho. The shock measured 6.9 on the moment magnitude scale and had a maximum Mercalli intensity of IX (Violent)."Wikipedia.
Thanks to all the new residents moving into my area who like to shoot their firearms at all times of day and night, I have a pretty good idea of the number and types of ordinance owned by each of them.
I've been here two years now. I got out of that Southwestern state that I won't mention (for obvious reasons). I love everything about North Idaho. You guys are great!! I enjoy your RU-vid channel. Keep up the great work.
My husband works with a guy who has a wife and house in North Idaho but stays in king county to drive dump truck. He says trucking jobs don’t pay in Idaho like over here where teamster dump truck drivers make over 50$ an hour. If you’re retired it’s fine though.
@@thenorthidahoexperience my husband can retire I April with his pension so I don’t feel too stuck in Western Washington especially since houses in my area sell super fast. I can’t even buy another AR 15 in this stupid state.

Well, until the new company that bought vista outdoors ships all the ammo they produce to Europe. Im hoping not but it wouldn’t surprise me. Any of the companies under vista outdoors which i believe cci is could end up shipping all their ammo over seas😠

I understand. Our daughters live in Bend, the town taken over by liberals and flooded with homeless and their trash/poverty spirit lifestyle. They can't afford Idaho prices, nor Bend's prices. Their church was the only one in town that refused to be shut down by a disease and state mandate/corrupt governor. Not only that, the church runs a large security team that are constantly trained and in position. Our girls and husbands are all trained and conceal carry, in church and wherever they go. My state of California and yours are in deep trouble.
I've been in CDA for almost two years. Appointments can be months out, unless you are already in the system. The population boom has put a strain on the medical system here. A nurse told me that so many retirees have moved up here that they've had to shift their focus to better serve the community.
@@johnmiller1925 I am way north of Spokane, can see Idaho from here lol. The rural fire departments are superior to help with medical and getting you to a hospital. It is very laid back and I have great neighbors that help each other, even the newcomer from Iowa…
Spokane is a priority for nukes still. It being a “refueling” station now, it’s still a critical target. However, those B-52 are still are capable of having a nuclear payload (Im positive Fairchild still has them in bunkers.) The Silver Valley use to be secondary targets due to the mines producing so much lead also the naval base in the lake up north. Who knows if that’s still in the game plan though since most of the mines died. A couple of MIRV missiles would definitely take care of the panhandle. But you’re right, fallout would be #1 priority for most citizens in the panhandle which would sustain significant nuclear fallout.
I think Montana has more Vets, first responders, and special operators and we have peppers and preparers and military fringe groups, Montana has more guns then any state, with bullets for everyone
Love the podcast but we are getting pretty full up here in CDA. With California home prices the wages don’t balance the inflation, with them coming over offering more then the house is worth, with cash in hand while idahos can’t compete with the prices and getting driven out of their own land. Also Californians can’t drive in rain and they damn sure can’t drive in all the snow we get! As long as their Republican like you guys, they are welcomed but we are running out of houses! lol
Valid points! I would argue that most can drive in rain and a lot came from areas that get a lot more snow than we get. Northern CA is country through and through
@@thenorthidahoexperience That's probably the only valid point you have made with this video. Idahoans are bad drivers and Californians are used to traffic and being more aggressive. But Idahoans used to be able to drive with no one else on the road until all of the Californians and other out of staters arrived. I know, those peaceful days are long gone.

I just wish those gun lovers would have a little more respect for the nature they say they love. All the trails and backroads are littered with thousands of spent cartridges and beer bottles and garbage from their recent trip to the woods to target practice. It didn’t use to this way. Not sure what has happened but every time I hike in the area more trash has piled up from these freedom lovers. By the way I grew up with more guns than most. Clean up after yourself!
@@thenorthidahoexperience ya your right. Unfortunately it seems the disrespectful ones have a pretty big impact on the area now. Didn’t use to be that way, people who do this type of stuff feel, they feel they are entitled and there isn’t enough push back. I grew up in a small town nearby and anyone who did things like this would have been spoke too by local police and also by everyone who knew about it. But now it gets ignored. Every time I get out I always bring extra trash bags to clean up, not many others seem to do this. Not sure why. Was out a few days ago. Saw dozens of people shooting and stuff, only saw one person pick their spent cartridges. Everyone else, probably 8 to 10 groups, came and went left trash everywhere. You also have the Yellowstone super volcano that will take out the complete north Idaho pan handle just saying. There was enough game until everybody moved in now not so much. Yes there is a lot of water but in a SHTF the folks that live around it will do what ever it takes to protect it. Just remember folks are nice when all is good but in a SHTF you are a threat to their survival. JMO
Don't forget Speer, Seekins, Rocky Mountain Reloading, and others in Lewiston. I also think Lewiston is one of the better parts of Northern Idaho. Plenty of water, resources listed above, as long as there are materials 😜. The area can be defended relatively easily using the waterways and ground terrain. Longer growing season, definitely high number of firearms available, resources like the mill (lumber) and TP!😂😂😂. Access to fish and game and surr there are other advantages.
I keep hearing above North Idaho, but I am happy where I live and my county has just as many natural barriers as you do, and just as much water, and wildlife, though you can have the grizzlies, but I rarely see anyone open carrying and we have a milder climate, but keep advertising your region so fewer people will come here. Home prices are going up too fast as it is. You folks seem to be more into Christian nationalism. Things are pretty quiet here. We had our excitement in the early 90's when I moved from Washington. I take a little flack when I write to the editor but just because I'm not a conservative as I don't like government control. Real estate online videos seem to give the impression that Idaho means North Idaho or Boise. And I live 5 driving hours from CDA.

Citizen of North Idaho! I own my home outright. It is protected by 24/7 surveillance systems (multiple) as well as RING door bells on the front and back doors. My home has a mountain coming right down to the rear of the home making it easily defended. On my property to the rear of the home there are multiple trip lines attached to 12 gauge shotgun shells with 00 Buck attached to the trees at around head height, they serve two purposes, pest elimination and signal warning of intruders. My home is equipped with a finished basement with a full pantry, adjacent root cellar, laundry room, shower, toilet, sauna and a hidden room which holds the majority of my hand loading equipment, powder, primers, lead, different caliber bullets multi-purposed, bullet molds for almost all the calibers known today as well as several not used so much today. I have enough presses to load both handgun, rifle and shotgun shells at least in the hundreds per day in my leisure. I am also a gun smith so my "shop" is included with most every tool needed to work on most any handgun or rifle. I am ex-military and have served my country in most countries around the world, from jungles to deserts to mountains and snow. I am a trained survivalist who can live off the land and thrive. My basement also includes a woodworking shop that includes both electric tools as well as hand tools for wood working and cabinetry. The entire home is heated with forced air gas heating; however, there are also wood stoves in the basement, the living room (antique cast iron cook stove fully functional with cast iron cookware), in the bedroom as well as in the bedrooms on the second floor. There are two different hidden hiding areas which can be used on the second floor as well as two different setups to ex-fill the second floor safely in case of fire or home invasion. There are two different tunnels to exit the basement if necessary. Also, in the basement in addition to a fully stocked pantry, including two chest freezers for meat from hunting there are two large tanks used to store drinking water that will last one person one year. Across from my home, there is a year round creek that can also be used if the pump is no longer functional. I have a wind generator mounted toward the top of my property on the mountain behind my home which can also be used to pump water from the creek to a storage tank nearby the windmill. Also located in this area on the mountain is a small wood cabin that cannot be seen from the road that passes in front of my home. I have three gun safes, one in the adjacent shop next to my home (large gun safe), one in the ground floor bedroom in one of the closets (12 gun safe) and one in the basement hidden gun room ( 12 gun safe). Throughout the home there are several hidden magnet released hidden gun storage areas that include one rifle, one handgun, several magazines for both as well as extra ammunition in boxes. These are hidden within the walls of the different rooms behind wall mirrors and pictures. I also have several black powder muzzle loaders in display cases around the home along with powder horns, tool satchels, hatchets and knives. I have both cap rifles as well as flintlocks and also have the interchangeable parts to change between the two. The entire home is equipped with antique oil lamps that are fully functional including those in the dining room and the kitchen areas. The gun room in the basement is hidden by a sliding wall cabinet filled with canned goods and also a steel door with double heavy locking mechanisms. From the gun room, there is an emergency exit that leads under the front porch to the house. On the wood stove in the living room, there is a water heating system rigged that leads to a separate hot water heater located in the other closet in the ground floor bedroom. This can be used as a source for hot water for both showering in the basement shower as well as for the washing machine and sinks in the basement. There is a emergency generator in the basement that can generate power for the refrigerator, lights and electrical appliances around the home. There is also a CB and a HAM radio set up in the gun room in the basement with antennas hidden on trees behind the home on the mountain. The entire perimeter of the home has motion-sensor lights that work with the surveillance systems. All the lower parts of the walls in the front of the home are filled with rough gravel. There are drop down "shutters" that can be dropped from inside the home to cover all the lower floor windows which include gun ports on all windows. Also on the lower floor windows and doors that are security devices that detonate if forcefully entered which release a mixture of heavy duty bear spay as well as a permanent lime colored dye similar to that used by individuals stranded on the ocean. My "front yard" includes several 4'x4' raised gardens which I use to raise vegetables during the growing season which I preserve and store in my root cellar adjacent to the basement. I also utilize the different orchards in nearby counties and states to gather seasonal fruits to can and store in my cellar. This also includes things such as different roots, potatoes, snap beans and such for dry storage. I also store dry grains, beans and rice. The mountains around my home are covered with huckleberry plants which I love and gather and store in the pantry. I also enjoy fishing and at times net different varieties of water foods such as smelt, eels and salmon gathered in fish traps that my grandparents taught me how to make and use. I also can quite a bit of the different meats I catch including both the fish and the game. Also, I jerk quite a bit of the different meats and also store a quantity of pemmican I make up each season. On top of what I keep at home, I have several stashes of both arms, ammunition, hand-loading equipment and emergency foods located all over the mountains both in North Idaho and in Montana. I have two snowmobiles, two motorcycles and one side-by-side that I use to travel the thousands of miles of fire roads throughout North Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Washington and Oregon. You seldom have to use a paved road to travel to any of these places. It's easy to "become" lost and hide for however long you desire. There are numerable abandoned mine sites that can also be used which few know about. The mountains of North Idaho and Montana are probably the least place anyone in his right mind would ever want to "invade". It would only take the destruction of one bridge in Cour d' Alene and the destruction of one pass (Lookout Pass) to totally isolate the Silver Valley area of North Idaho which could be easily defended. Anyone crazy enough to assault the indigenous population of North Idaho would be a loser from the beginning. First he wouldn't know the area or how difficult it would be to fight a guerilla war against a well armed and well trained militia making up the majority of the local inhabitants of these areas. A war of "snipers" would ensue which would lead to the downfall of any attempted invasion of this area. It is also protected by mountains from any kind of nuclear attack which would likely not occur because there are few "targets" of interest to anyone interested in invading this part of the country. I'm sure that the majority of the locals, including myself, would enjoy an armed conflict, especially if we could take scalps and other "trophies"! I'm sure I am not alone in being prepared from pretty much anything that might happen in the future and would be more than ready to face off with anyone stupid enough to come into MY mountains to try to take what is mine!
We do have earthquakes here. I have lived in this area for 30 years and I’ve had four since I’ve been here high winds. Yes, winters are not as bad as people think fires. Yes not bad yet but time is coming.
Look at the air quality from the Canadian fires and others from WA and ID. There are years when a person can't breathe in Idaho. The smoke fro these fires is really bad.
Yesterday I went to a MASA (medical transport system for seniors) meeting and the lady putting it on conceal carried a 9mm and was from North Idaho. I mentioned that many in the county where the meeting was, has thought of North Idaho as super radical and she replied that most of the area was like the rest of Idaho and that there were just a few loud mouth radicals who like media coverage. I mentioned the work of Doug Wilson who is working feverishly trying to make blue Moscow into a red town, and she agree with me that he was another white Christian nationalist. Is all this correct?
This is the most welcoming community I've ever lived in. The media likes to portray N Idaho as white supremacist and radical, which is total nonsense. It's a great community and is very welcoming. A white Christian Nationalist is not the same thing as a white supremacist. To me that means; a white person, who believes in Christianity, and believes in the USA. Is that wrong? The media has done a great job of vilifying people who believe in God and Country.
@@thenorthidahoexperience I am currently watching a recent conference on Christian Nationalism from Rice University in Houston, Texas and it will run for 6 hours. They talk a lot about definitions on these panels. I currently have 5 Christian families as neighbors and they are all white and all believe in the U.S.A., but the do not classify themselves as Christian nationalists. They classify themselves as Mormons. I am white and believe in the U.S.A. but I am an atheist. What do you classify me as? Am I an American or do I need to be a Christian in order to be an American? I also believe that this country is not a Christian country because not all the Founders were Christians and the name of Jesus is not found in our Constitution. And though I study the Bible and its history and the history of Christianity in depth and at the online college lecture class level, from divinity schools, I do not believe as do most evangelicals and Christian nationalists, that the Bible is the inerrant word of the Christian God. But I am concerned about Project 2025, the 900+page blueprint to be used by the next conservative president to rid us of the "deep state", demand loyalty to the executive branch, have this nation declared a Christian nation, and have everyone have equal rights as long as they are Christians (See C-Span interview on Project 2025 this year). And the media is just as much conservative as it is liberal. They cover whatever will make them money. And Trump is no better than Biden.

There are a lot of Trump supporters here in North Idaho and a handful of Biden supporters, but it's everyone's right to choose. I happen to be a Trump supporter and consider myself a Christian, but I also struggle with my faith sometimes. I'm also a vet and I see us Americans as one. It's the things that divide us that I have issues with. Freedom and common sense are what separate us from the delusional.
@@captain_wiseass_weisenheimer47 Why are political beliefs in north Idaho so different from the rest of the state? And can you REALLY see that much difference between the two parties? Don't they both want government control even if they say otherwise? Don't the leaders of both parties want to help the super rich---Biden with wars and Trump with tax cuts? Don't both parties allow wealthy lobbyists to get what they want from the federal government? And aren't both candidates on power trip? If I could see a difference, I might then see a reason to vote in November. When Trump takes office, how will Project 2025 change this country? What will determine who gets rights and who doesn't? Will Trump take our guns like he said he would, in that infamous meeting, or would some be able to keep them? I don't believe in all these wild conspiracies that abound. I am poor now because I spent nearly 50 years believing in those theories and promoting them. Too many people, especially in Idaho believe those, but if you believe that a man can walk on water, that people can be turned into pillars of salt, and that the Grand Canyon was made in 6 days, you can easily fall for such conspiracies. And as to this nation being a Christian one because the founders were all Christians, all one has to know is that the name of Jesus is not in our Constitution and they need to read "The Jefferson Bible", the book that Thomas Jefferson took his oath of office on and you will know the beliefs of at least one founder. Most of north Idaho is probably evangelical Christian, but do eastern Idaho Mormons believe as you do? Online realtors talk of north Idaho like that term means IDAHO as a whole and not as a part. Do they believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God? And 20% of Idahoans are Mormon. And according to the census in 2023, 25% are unaffiliated when it comes to religion, meaning that they may believe in a deity but may not and they want nothing to do with organized religion. But since this is still a free country everyone should have the right to believe as he or she wishes. And how do you define REAL CHRISTIAN? Are Mormons Christians? JW's? Seventh-Day Adventists? What makes a Christian different from a non-Christian? Following the Bible, that very few people have ever read or studied? I am a happy believer in life in north central Idaho.
People are the biggest natural disaster, especially when times get tough. Seen it first hand. If you think that northern idaho has enough resources to appease people without any regulation you are mistaken. Big game would be wiped out in a matter of months, competition would result in rampant murders, gangs would confiscate any leftover resources, especially with no authorities to enforce law and order. Sad but true.
For the possibility of these reasons, hundreds of thousands of smart people in the state have been preparing for many years. Difficulty in the world will continue. It's not going to change out there.
@@thenorthidahoexperience that's exactly what should worry you: tribalism. They will absolutely band together, and benefit those on the 'in crowd'. It's hit or miss to what morals they decide to follow and to what extent. Hunger and fear do things to people, even trained ones. People will stick with their families and the rest be damned.
@@thenorthidahoexperience You need to wake up brother. LE and first responders will need to take care of their families that are under attack and will not show up for work. Look at other countries that have suffered SHTF scenarios. It's only when there is a plan to protect the families of LE that LE will come together and work. LEO's will work only if their families are safe. Think about it. Idaho has no plan to protect your family in a SHTF scenario. Don't believe me, check with your local sheriff's office department of emergency management and you'll see I'm correct. I have already done this research.
In Sagle... got a crazy woman on psychotropics and plenty of pills ... walking around the house w a large knife, screaming, "I got a knife, I got a knife, I got a knife." (Recorded!) Sheriff won't even come!!! Good Luck, everyone !!!
@@thenorthidahoexperience Look up the religious stats. Lots of churches in North Idaho. In my county (not North Idaho) 17% of residents are Catholic, 11% are Churches of Christ, 10% are Mormon, and 25% are non-affiliated with any religion. Statistics of 2023. Idaho in general is 27% non-affiliated.
Its becoming very cliche to say that, but it's not the American thing to do. Nobody likes the super rich moving in, but most folks are just like us and want to raise their families in a safe place.
Well, the prairie looks like suburban Kalifornia, and the city limits of CDA is full of leftists now. Growth was not managed properly, but I'm happy for you that you made it out of Commiefornia!@@thenorthidahoexperience
Actually there are many homes for sale up here, and you don't own North Idaho, so you're not full. I find hilarious that people who have lived here for 1 or 30 years think they own all of North Idaho, and give people moving here an attitude.
The only job lower than a lawyer is a real-estate agent...really. These guys are perfect examples of the "newage" of cops. You know what I mean. Hawking NID by these nitwits is painful to watch.
Are you encouraging ppl to move up to Northern Idaho? Ask anyone in Colorado how that's gonna workout!!! You will destroy what you have with too many humans!!! I live in CO Springs, work in Denver...
We're different from all those peeps in Colorado! First, we ALL HATE anything with California, Oregon or Washington license plates and most of them get the message after we throw enough rocks at them. The transplants from California don't last because they weren't warned about our winters...which most of them are allergic too! There's not much going on up here in the mountains of North Idaho so not too many people will feel comfortable when they have to drive an hour into Cour d' Alene for a nice dinner or movie. We're just too far away from all the "cool" stuff to keep any of them around long...don't worry...when they see all those guns come out, most of them just turn tail and run for Washington!
There is no reason to believe the Russians have cleared their coordinates from the old installations. Chances are there is a reserved missile for each existing installation.
I love a manly looking man, and manly acting. Other than that, those things are just a long-lasting fad. I was just in Hawaii, and the original people are turning back to idols and ancestral worship, and submitting to face tattoos. They are only black colored tattoos, several inches wide in a swath, starting at the forehead, going down the side and clear down the side of the body. It is very extensive and painful. It started with the native men and now the women and some youth. It's a fad for idols now.
Definitely not the safest place. Where I live, we have the Bitterroots on the east, the deepest canyon in North America plus the Seven Devils Mtn. Range on the west and the Sawtooth Range on the south. The Spokane metro area is 450,000 and I live 5 driving hours from either that or Boise. And we have all the same natural resources that you have. We are fairly conservative. Our region has tactical firearms training plus a long range night time sniper training center for both civilian and ex-military. We have no interstate highway for many miles. We have the same problem with rising real estate. Our region borders Oregon, Washington, and Montana, but our biggest metro area has 40,000 people, plus we have two designated wilderness areas. and the largest and longest tributary of the Columbia River. And we have 1990--2010 conservatives rather than current California conservatives who want to bring their liberal ideas with them. Any place in Idaho is good in a SHTF scenario but some are much better, and much warmer than others, and thankfully I live in the best area.
@@thenorthidahoexperience I live in a nice quiet area. In 1994, I was sitting in a meeting of our county commissioners in an Elk's building, when a neighbor a few miles away walked up to the table where county officials were and slapped down a noose, saying, "We don't want no building codes in this country, " and we don't have them to this day. In a few minutes I will drive my old car to my gun range, put up some AR-500 plates and refresh my skills. A few months ago while in our county seat, I saw a bumper sticker on a pickup truck that said, "I own firearms and a backhoe." I don't sight-see by driving through a gate whether closed or open. Even county assessors know what such a sticker means. I don't have a backhoe, but I do have a small diesel tractor with a front bucket. I don't think we are headed for a civil war, and I'm an old man and it has been 10 years since I took tactical training, but I'm not concerned. And you are a long ways away if say the grid went down. I think that most people want to move to North Idaho and that's fine with me.
North Idaho may be very Christian, but Idaho in general is heading toward unaffiliated, especially with young people. Older citizens are more conservative and more religious than younger ones, but older ones will die off faster. You can find all these statistics on Pew Research, a research program that is used by most churches.
Big no from me dawg. Way too many people and not enough public land. You guys are going to be constantly bumping into each other trying to larrp the pan handle. Or, trying to grab a latte in CDA. Those resources you mentioned don’t belong to you, nor does the game. The hillbilly’s will have the game poached. The private forest land owners will lock up tight. Even, more so than today. I’m staying in Alaska.
Your wrong game is being hunted out you have no idea how much game was here back in early 90s and before and property was affordable now it's way out of reach for the working man in flux of people has destroyed north idaho
They talk about shoveling snow in a region where the snow can get 10 feet deep? No mention of the bitter cold that doesn't let up for 6 months. No discussion of being trapped in place by darkness and ice for weeks. Skipping over these facts may be why a lot of these preppers build secure bunkers, but forget the insulation 🙃 Meanwhile yes, the farming is great--during a growing season that only begins in May and ends in September. And generally people in North Idaho aren't cohesive; they want to be left the hell alone, it's why they move here and why almost everyone is armed to the teeth. Maybe these goofballs should actually live in the mountains for a few more winters before they go out preaching about living "safely" in REAL wildlands 🙄
Orrrr you could just notch the video up to entertainment, have a few laughs, and go on about your day. I’m happy to have you on a video if you ever want since you are clearly an expert.
I have lived in Idaho for over 30yrs now and you are the reason I carry and conceal. About 20yrs ago I thought we got rid of you nut jobs, but I guess I was wrong. We are still here. Bye bye.
You clearly don't know us at all... You should actually watch the video before you comment. We are both former LEOs and have dedicated a majority of our lives serving the public, so I'm pretty sure you don't need to carry for our sakes. LOL
Excellent info!!! Oh, I remember hearing about antifa that arrived in downtown Ceour d'Alene (2020?) hired to cause a raucous, but were chased away by armed citizens!! I saw video of it! That's what your video reminds me of. Regards from far north California
Please quit trying to get people to move here. Housing is out of control and now because of the large influx of people no one seems to know how to drive and has created more accidents than necessary because they don't know how to drive in snow. Also there are earthquakes in idaho. No one wants Idaho to be turned into California
i agree that no one wants Idaho to turn into CA. I'm not trying to get people to move here. I'm educating people who already want to move here so they can make an informed decision. I'm brutally honest in my videos and can tell you that not one, not one person that has called us to use our services, is liberal. Not 1! So those people that you speak of are not calling us.
The thing is what most Californians call conservative still hangs on some liberalism. I've seen and heard it in public personally. I'm glad you have had good customers but it doesn't change facts. Home prices are still out of control.
