Bravo! I think the 2022 Pathfinder just might come out on top as the Mid-Size SUV of the year, at least I hope so! Definitely would be my choice If I was in the market no question about it!
I recently purchased this same one featured here and it’s the best SUV I’ve ever had. I’m taking the family to Disney in Florida we driving this bad boy down. We’ll see how she does on this vacation.
@@seanlamar29 it went great ran into a snow storm in Indiana between Indianapolis and Gary it was horrendous but the Pathfinder held its ground nice easy smooth ride all and all it was great. Kids didn’t complain once they were able to lay down in the back. I put the third row seat down and they were comfortable all the way. My three year old daughter loves it back there like her own play room. I’d recommend it I have the regular stock but if you have the money I would go with the Platinum edition it has all the nice upgrades.
I am purchasing the 2022 SV premium package used with a few miles on it, still priced way lower than a mid line kia or Hyundai and with that is the factory warranty difference, however extended warranty programs will probably make up for the lower sales price I’m paying! Either way, for me it was so much nicer than competitors just my opinion!
Bought a 2024 platinum 4 weeks ago. Put 1k miles on it, heard a wining noise, brought it to the dealer, they said it needs a new transmission and is not safe to drive. Transmission is on back order, haven't seen the car in 2 weeks. I did like it 4 weeks ago.
@@ocon123 To each his own, but that was a poor choice, not only is the Telluride priced and equipped better, it will 100% hold its value against better than any Nissan product.
@@Farmlover453 Don't sleep on the Korean brands. 40+ years ago the same was said about the Japanese brands and now they dominate when it comes to reliability.
I have a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder and it is built cheap. Very flimsy. I hate it. Worst car I ever bought. The rear lift gate is made of very thin metal prone to dents from automatic car washes. Apple Carplay is horrible in this vehicle. My iPhone 8 never worked with it so I upgraded to a 13 and yes it connects but then drops off the next time I start my vehicle. Some days I have to delete and add my phone three to four times. Talk about distracted driving. Never seems to remember any of my settings. The speakers also make the doors buzz with an annoying sound when playing music with a little base. Once again very cheaply built. The stupidest thing about this vehicle is when you are towing using the tow mode the damn thing will slam on the brakes when trying to back a trailer. Very embarrassing at the boat ramp. Should have a button to disable rather than scrolling through the crappy menu to find the one setting that needs to be manually disabled to prevent this towing SAFU. You would think the engineers would have made the rear parking sensors disable automictically in tow mode. Epic fail. Seems to have lots of bugs in firmware. Nothing works as it is described. It already has three to four factory recalls for defects. Stay away from the POS. Almost forgot if you like riding on the floor this is the vehicle for you as the front passenger seat is extremely low so low my wife can't see out the windshield and feels like she is sitting on the floor. She hate it as well. Nissan screwed up with this build.
Thank you for the honest review. Most new vehicle owners praise their new toy...I test drove it a few days ago. While impossible to spot the little quirks during a short drive I did notice the low passenger seat which seems a weird design flaw. Anyway thanks again, your comment is super helpful!
@@arielspalter7425 I am trying so hard to like this vehicle but I think the only way that might be possible is if Nissan fixes all the bugs and also retrofits the passenger seat with the ability to raise it up a couple of inches. I am not a Nissan hater just think they rushed this one to production.
@@patmarlin2935 I have the same issues with mine. The seat is so low that the sun visor is useless. I did contact Nissan and they said there is no fix for it. This has to be a design flaw. Also, the back up camera is the worst quality I've ever seen. My car leaked water in the back at every car wash and inside of doors. The back seat can be flipped forward even when someone is sitting in it, which is very dangerous. The heater does not blow any air out when on the feet setting and it is extremely loud. The key fob never works to start the car, and the app is useless most of the time. If I could trade this in without losing money I would asap!
@@analovesTexas My key FOB totally doesn't work with remote start most of the time. People at my work can hear me cursing out my car as I try to remote start it. The NissianConnect App is also the worst as it takes up to two minutes to actually open and connect to the Nissan service so I could have walked out to the car and started like ten times before the App would open. Yes, water does seem to get in past the door seal on the rear hatch and road grime collects really bad in the door jambs which leads me to think this thing will rust out if it is not constantly cleared of this grime. I took it in for the first service the other day with the list of complaints and of course the dealer could not remedy any of them so I am for now stuck with a POS for the most part. I was so disappointed with this thing I ended up buying a 2022 GMC pickup which by the way everything works perfectly as a new vehicle should. There are some positive things I can say about the Pathfinder like the safety features seem to work pretty well and have helped me with reaction time to avoid other vehicles around me. It also seems to have plenty of power for passing and getting up to speed and the transmission seems to be a good match for the engine. But that is were the positives pretty much stop for now. My dealership also told me the Pathfinder is no longer in production either due to bad or no chips or they are going back to the drawing board.
@@patmarlin2935 I know exactly how you feel. They charged me like $2500 over MSRP for the market adjustment, so I'm pretty much stuck with this. How bad is the quality of your backup camera? The dealership told me that it's just normal for Nissan and they have the same camera in all the trims. I would love it if the stuff I'm paying for actually worked!
