5 reasons why you should buy a MK2 Focus RS!! 

Totally agree! As I always say: On paper and with a look at the facts, you will never understand how good the car really is ... you have to drive it and then you'll understand why it is so popular. 😊 One big thing for me personally - besides the overall apperance - is, that the MK2 Focus in general (Facelift !!) is one of the VERY few cars that looks absolutely timeless. I always like it, no matter which situation and no matter from which angle .... I have never had that with any other car (although it's ""only"" a Focus). 🤷‍♂️🙂 It is really (also as an ST Facelift) one of the few cars where I will stand in front of it in 20 years (!) and say: "Simply a very beautiful car, still looks good!" Unfortunately many people don't understand that, but I don't have this inner feeling even with cars that cost 6 times as much in 95% of the cases. 🙂 I'm driving mine with around 380hp and besides from the "normal Focus issues" there is absolutely no problem. 👍😎 2:32 : Exacetly me ALWAYS in the car! 😂

Your video reminds me of my MK8 Fiesta ST and made me appreciate FWD more as like you said my Fiesta wouldn’t be the same if it was AWD. Also the way the Fiesta puts the power down again it makes you feel like your going faster than you actually are. It’s just a really fun car to drive and always brings a smile to my face.

Couldn’t agree more!! This is my second mk2 RS it’s just something about them that grabs you. Mines a keeper seeing this makes me want to go for a blast 💥 but keeping it wrapped up till April. Cracking vid 👍🏻

Cinematography has gone up tenfold and looks very professional. This car has been a dream goal of mine since it was released and one day I will make it happen. This particular example has been modified tastefully and just right in my opinion,OEM+ is definitely the way to go with these. I think going back to the standard exhaust was a good idea, still sounds great without being over the top. Keep up the good work Garry 👍

The 3-door mk2 Focus, even in standard form, is the best looking Focus, full stop. I loved it from when I first saw it in 2005; that little notch at the bottom of the rear side windows reminded me of the shape of the mk2 Escort.

Got a 2006 focus ST3 totally standard and that’s the way it’s staying. Love the 5 pot engine . Real noise , real pops and bangs , no computer gimmicks just proper old school driving .

I can honestly say yours is the best Mk2 RS I've ever seen. The colour and stance absolutely perfect. I quite often pop along to my local RS meeting and see these on a regular basis. In fact a mate of mine got rid of his Mk2 RS, bought a Mk3 but quickly got rid of that and went back to a Mk2!

I wanted one as soon as I saw it in Autocar in late 2008, I’ve been lucky enough to get one in the colour I love ultimate green. I’ve owned it now for eight years and I love it as much as I did before I bought it 🙂

Have to say the car is looking and sitting perfectly. The oem + look is definitely where it’s at. Bit more of a rare site on the roads now, they sound fantastic and yes not as fast as some things on the road, but I certainly don’t think front wheel drive is a bad thing, I’ve got a fk2 type r and it can more than handle the power even in damp conditions and driving quickly and using the front diff is great fun. I can see you love the car, been good to see you getting it where you want it.

It’s definitely one of them cars that turns heads when 1 goes past you. I’d never be able to afford a RS myself but I love seeing them driven about & the good thing is you don’t see a lot of them on the roads day to day. (The Mk1 RS Focus is my pick of the 3 though)

I have a MK3 RS and I love it, but I think the MK2 looks so amazing. I wish we got the MK2 here in the states.

Mate I've got the MK2 facelift ST owned it 10yrs I wanted an RS but at the time insurance was killing me. Everything you said in your video about your MK2 RS is exactly how I feel about the ST that volvo engine makes you feel a certain way no other car can. Happy motoring mate

Totally agree with you. Doing a lot of work to maintain and prepare the car to revo st4 and upcoming season. Looking forward to drive a lots of untravelled roads and routs. Just need a whole tanker of petrol 😁

Couldn't agree more. They look so much better lowered. Bought mine new and will never sell. Believe it or not but it's still got it's new car smell inside.

Mine is completely standard. I also like the power delivery. There is basically nothing below 3000rpm, but once it passes 3000rpm the car start to explode and fly. Then you start to fight with front end like taming a wild animal. It may not be the quickest, but it is such a blast to drive. So emotional and exciting.

Now this makes me want to change from the mk3 to the mk2 🤔

totally agree with all your comments....at 71...according to the RSOC....I am the oldest owner in the UK...cannot see me parting with my RS now...my son in law can drive it up front in my funeral cortege..!!!!🤣

This RS looks spot on, I don’t get why people change the standard wheels either. I would love one but am currently stock piling the best tuning parts for my mk2 ST which I’m going to fit in a couple of years and get it mapped, anembo plenum and ported polished inlet is next on the list, I’m going to keep it standard looking though. For me a mk2 RS is dream car but I am not going to buy one, reason being they are 5 times the price of my ST but they are not 5 times better. Really enjoy the videos btw keep it up 👍

Hi Gary, I just thought i would let you know i have my MK3 RS back now, As you know it had a cracked block and was replaced with a 2.0 st250 much stronger engine block all my forged internals were usaed apart from the gaskets and oils/coolants etc as you can understand im now 500 miles inrto my new build and everything is perfect. Im now looking forward to getting down to ford fair 8th August this year.

Do love these cars but despite what you say would actually want one if it was AWD. For me I'd take an evo or Impreza still. Fantastic engine though. Good to see you have released it from the garage.

Never sell it. I've got a mk2 ST facelift.. id love an RS but I love mine as much as you love yours.

Only thing what put me off was the key in the bonnet to open it. Typical ford.

With all the regs and rules and ofcourse the tree huggers, there will never be another model like this EVER, so if you've got one keep it, look after it as it's better than a pension 😉🙃🙃🙃

The mk2 focus RS is a good looking car and package, mainly for the engine, but There is another car that looks just as good in recent times.....and it sports an Historic Audi 5 cylinder engine.......the 8V Audi RS3
