Tuff country sells the ibeam drop brackets with a camber bolt adjustment to fine tune the camber and makes it easy for the shops to do wheel alignment and get it dead on without having to be switching out caster/camber sleeves on the upper ball joints. This also helps cuz eventually the springs will settle in and sag changing the camber again and a different sleeve would need to be installed each alignment. By getting the drop brackets with camber adjustment this eliminates having to switch caster/camber sleeves and makes it cheaper to get a wheel alignment each time. Hope this helps
I have a ‘95 F150 short bed. I put a 4 inch lift on it. Since I was taking it all apart, I replaced every bushing on the suspension. It was just me doing all the work.
I have a 1995 f150 flairside I put a 6 inch rough country on it, I did the same we took it to my buddy’s shop and it took us a total of 18 hours….. yea he’s not joking yall it’s a lot of work but it’s definitely possible if you work hard on it. Mines also a 2wd and I put the same rims and tires on it as he did. It’s about to get painted satin black so it’s gonna be sweet.
I have a 1996 f150 just put a 6in lift and 1.5 levaling kit on the front and iam having a hell of a time getting the camber right. Finally had to send us to a 4x4 shop to have it done.
I have been torn and haven’t done it yet. I have a 93 2wd extended cab stepside/flareside, I can’t decide between a 4” or a 6” lift. I have the tires and wheels already. 16” m/t wheels with 33/12.50/16 tires. I’m afraid the 4” will be too little and the 6” will be too much. In retrospect, I have a 92 F250 4wd, with a 4” lift that ended up closer to 5”-6” of lift (hence the fear of the 6” and it not settling in).
I got a 92 2wd inline 6 im about to lift 6 inch and put 30's on and I already know the hate im gonna get but I don't care I live on a farm it will get used as a farm truck but what the best way to go about. another note for my truck is the last owner lowered it the only reason I bought it was the condition and the low miles, 117000 for $1500
i just picked up a 4wd 86 bullnose for 1600 with only 57000 miles it was used a farm truck then retired since they got a new one and sat since has the 5.8L HO motor what a steal! runs and drives not even any rust underneath just needs a new paint jobs and it got some dents after farm work.
@@ChaseTyson did you install turned dropped front axles? Dropped brackets are borderline usable after 4” lift. Also use extended radius arms. These upgrades will bring alignment specs better than factory specs
I have a 1995 f150 2wd with the 4.9 engine. I want to put Moog cc824 springs on my truck to level it. What all would I need when I install the springs? Thanks!
Im not to sure about that.. I would think nothing since you are "leveling" it. But You never know with the twin I beam lol.. You may need new camber nuts or something like that.
what degree camber bushing did you have to use for 6inch lift? i did 2 inch leveling in my 96 and had to go with a 2.25 negative camber bushing and also did you have to buy aftermarket camper bushing or was the alignment shop able to get them with a big enough degree?
The front I-beam stays the same length so when you lift the truck it pulls the bottom of the tires inward. So, while everything may be lined up right, you still have to fix this issue.
It's just as much work to go from a 0-6 inch lift as it is to go from a 2-6 inch lift if you ever plan on going bigger than you will have just as much work so just put the lift you want to begin with
I lifted my 94 F150 and I had a small accident and it bent the crap out of the frame because like you said it’s C channel but the lift wasn’t that hard to install took about a weekend
When u don’t know what your doing yep otherwise I’ll take that ttb 4x4 front end all day ! Oh my bad 2wd yea wouldn’t do it in the first place … Ttb Dana 50 is the same inner shafts diameter and outers hubs etc as A Dana 60 fact .
I have a 1990 F-350 that's RWD and i can't seem to find a suspension lift for it. I'm sorta new to all this still so I don't really know what i'm looking for. I'm hoping to put some 35" All Terrains on it though
Most people won't ever tow or tow much anyway let alone go offroading an if they do it'd not very hard offroading so why need a 4wd. 4wd is cool but eh don't need it
"5 reasons why you shouldn't lift your ford.".........."Do it there's no reason you shouldn't." Please stop giving people bad advice, especially when you went to a shop for advice and your dad is the one who is "mechanically inclined". You're going back and forth here, contradicting yourself the entire 6 minutes.
😂 Kevin. Needs his meds. Going back and forth like he did was a little confusing. He obviously edited the video also. Maybe use cards with notes (bullet points) next time. Male and female artists and Chris Stapleton except in basically he gave his father all the credit and then he stole it from him saying he's smarter. Couldn't tell by you talked
